Avoid this company. Through America home shield home warranty this company is to replace my hot water heater I had everything set up to be done through my tenant as I was in the hospital having surgery. Two weeks later they did the install today they called me at 12:25 PM asking me for payment I told them that I was at Stanford hospital for my follow up doctors appointment and I would pay them at 3 o'clock when I returned home. At that point they called me for the next 2 1/2 hours harassing me over the phone sending me nasty texts telling me I was stealing from them that I'm robbing them that they were sending a technician back out to remove it out of the property that they had to have payment immediately knowing I'm at the hospital. I got home at 3:02 PM called them made the payment just as I agreed I did keep all their texts in their voice messages and a call log of all the phone calls I got during that time major nasty harassment unbelievable Avoid this company

This company was assigned by AHS to clean out a blockage in the kitchen sink. Gave me a run around for 3 days and finally said the insurance company denied to do this service since there is no cleanout . They said they will give me a retail quote to install a clean out , This was about 700 dollars . Really guys. All you need to do was to remove the P trap and put the snake though that for the clean out the blockage . I have that done on my other properties.
Why are you going to cut a hole to put a cleanout under the sink. This is Condominium and they have common clean out . Just an incompetent company that cannot take care of simple issue. AHS is also a company that gives you a run around to just avoid you when you have issues. They took my $75 service and did nothing.
Am filing a complain in BBB and State Consumer affairs for sure cancel my policy with AHS as well .

Like others have stated ""go elsewhere,"" if you have choice. Plumber sent to me through warantee company. One month later, issue is not resolved. Jessica, in the office is especially rude and unprofessional. She does not return calls, and then lied to the warantee company stating issue resolved. It is not. Two times the plumber came out and both times needed a part that had to be ordered. The plumber was pleasant, but really did not fix issue. Office staff is HORRIBLE!!!!!

don't do it, call someone else. rude service, bad workman ship and they don't care if you don't like it!! i have never dealt with a company that allows their employees to act in such a manner and ruin their business! if the owner (matt sordahl) would like to talk, message me back because your staff won't let me through.

Office called to let me know their technician would be coming to my house but that he had to drive down from Stockton and it would be at least an hour before he could here, that was at 2:50pm.
At 9am I was told someone would be at my house within 4 hours, and when they don't show until 3:20pm, I'm yelled at for not being there?!! So sorry, some of us can't wait 7 hours to use a bathroom, how inconsiderate of me .Since I had been waiting all day for them to contact me and arrange a time, I took the opportunity to go to a local restaurant to use their restroom. Little did I know they showed up 30 minutes before I was told they would be there, and wouldn't wait for me to get back to the house, although I was less than a mile away. When I called to let them know they were early, and I would be right there, the president of the company, Tracy Grimmett, told me ""that was just too bad"" and that ""they weren't coming back"" even though they were the ones who were a half hour eary. She went on to say ""don't bother calling us again""...oh trust me Tracy that will never happen. I've never dealt with a less professional, reliable or respectful company ever!!!

First off this place is a joke and wouldn't even give them any stars. They send technicians out that do not report what they have done or did not do. And u still have to pay your $75 (if u have AHS). Called about 2-3 days after the first guy that came out. They had nothing reported so sweet Tracy got on the phone to send another guy out to do the same thing the first guy came out for. Look at the problem and say what the possibilities are. Thankfully he reported what he saw and came back to run a camera through the pipe to make sure no leaks. Called a few days later to check status and again after with them telling me they are still working on it. Called today to follow up again Tracy got on the phone said what needed to be done when this information should have been said a week ago! Asked what was the delay and asked questions. Miss Tracy started talking to me like I was a child cause I told her that I will move forward with someone else. Tracy is rude! Very condescending! She stated she ""wasn't going to argue with me"" when I was just asking questions. Their communication is very unprofessional! I would never refer anyone to this company! Your time will be wasted!

Ok maybe I was a little hard on the company, I had some bad experience with one particular technician but they did send A different guy named nick to my home who was very professional and tried his best to help. He did clear my line for a few hours but it's still backed up. I do know the office staff did work very diligently to get the work authorization from my home warranty and to them I give kudos. Thanks for all of the efforts and hopefully we can get it repaired!

We are in need of service on two toilets in the house. Golden State Plumbing, that was contracted through a home warranty company, was scheduled to service on a Saturday, between 8 am and 10 am. We changed personal plans, and made arrangements to be at the house for this appointment. Since no one had arrived by 10, we decided to call GSP, and we were told that the service technician had been to the property, that we had not answered, and that he had left a card at the door. None of which is true. No one knocked or rang the doorbell, nor was there a note or card on the door. We tried to have the technician ""supposedly"" return, and the next available appointment is for one week from now. I am surprised this company does not have GPS tracking devices on their fleet to corroborate against the technician's lie. This company is very unreliable and they should be investing in these tracking devices to confirm their employees' whereabouts, because we are positive that we are not the only clients who have been stuck with this lie. What a waste of a weekend since GSP made us change family plans. I wish there was a less star option with which to rate GSP.

Dishonest. Sent by American Home Shield to replace water heater. Submitted fraudulent estimate to AHS and tried to balance bill me for extra money ($780) for services that were not needed. 3 other independent bids from plumbing contractors all came in at around $1700 -$1800 installed. Golden State wanted to collect $1700 from the home warranty company and then collect an additional $780 from me. A bunch of crooks.

My water heater went out & my insurance company called this mess of a company.
Their ""inspector"" aka sales-guy came out the following day, spent about 30 seconds looking at it before declaring it needs to be replaced & that there is obvious asbestos (there wasn't).
He said he would have the report back to the insurance company by that night.
When I called the next morning to follow up, the lady (I use that term lightly) rudely said, ""you're being impatient & you just need to wait for it. I'll get to it when I get to it.""
Wow! OK...
So I called my insurance company the next day (day 4 of no hot water) & asked if they had received it and they had not. The agreement between vendor & my insurance company is that there is a required 24 hour max turnaround.
The following day, day 5, still no report, and still no hot water. So I called Golden State again & she said ""Lady, you have mold and asbestos. We're not working on that""... huh?? Then she went on to say, here, talk to my manager.
Apparently, she put a howler monkey on the phone, because all I really heard through the screaming was ""You have been rude to everyone in my office"" (I spoke to 2 people before this) and ""we don't even WANT to work with you"" (ya, well that's obviously mutual), threw out some expletives and hung up on me.
(that was a manager?!?!)
So, I calmly redialed & explained to the 1st woman that I was simply trying to have the report sent over to my insurance company so we can get this fixed and she must have overheard because she said, ""yes ma'am, I'll work on it now"".
Needless to say, being a fan of warm water, I hired another plumbing company who came out the next day, got it fixed at a reasonable price, and confirmed there was neither mold nor asbestos present.
So if you appreciate being yelled at, over charged, lied to & irresponsible delays, by all means, this is your company. Enjoy the drama.
If you appreciate kind professionalism, fair dealings & reasonable pricing, I would suggest going elsewhere.
