Let's just say I wish there were more stars I could add to this review. My water heater stopped working so I called my insurance and they referred me to Golden State. I spoke to Tracy and she was very professional and right away she scheduled a tech (Jimmie) to come out the same day! She was so understanding about my situation because we were living with no hot water. The tech Jimmie came out and prompt took a look at our water heater. Jimmie ordered the new water and came out the very next day which was a Saturday. Jimmie was very friendly and very professional and within the hour he removed and installed our water heater, he even disposed of the old one, Jimmie really went above and beyond. I would recommend Golden State Plumbing to anyone.

The longer a review is exactly where customers like myself should read them because it truly helps you learn about the company you might choose to do business with, I hope I can save you from a true headache.My sewer backed up on a Sunday so we called our insurance and they sent out this mediocre ""company"" (golden state) they came out Monday (Jimmie and George) they installed a clean out because they said our old one was backwards. They charged $700 for it. Which they basically connected it to my old one to make a two way with our old pipes. They ""cleaned it out"". Ok we thought issue was over well on Tuesday we resume back to normal and it backs up again only this time spilling into our home and into our carpets. We call our insurance and they send them out again Wednesday. Jimmie apologizes and says he's cleared it and it's good to go. That same day Tracy (owner & also happens to be Jimmie's mom) calls me They want to come out Friday to scope the line she tells me someone 18+ needs to be home from 12-2, I get home at 12 and Jimmie was already at my house and he had scoped and saw that clearly there was a back up and he was snaking it again for the 3rd time this week. I ask him why it's backed up when he told me he cleared it and he had no answer besides i don't know. I also told him I just wasted my time getting time off of work because Tracy said I needed to be there. He tells me I told you, you didn't have to be here. He says it's cleared now and He scopes it again and on the camera I can clearly see toilet paper and back up. He then pulls the camera out and pulls it to the sidewalk and he says see this is on the city's side it's their problem not yours. I tell him I want the line cleared because it's obviously not and I've already had secondary damage due to them not clearing my line to begin with and he says he's cleared it to the best of his and the machines ability. All he can do now is replace those pipes. I tell him I wouldn't be crazy enough to pay him anything after their mediocre work. I ask him for the managers number and he says it's him. He then Tells me he's sorry I feel that way but that's all he can do he tells me to call the city and he simply packs his stuff and leaves. I call his mom Tracy (at the office) she says she's the manger and owner so I explain things to her and she tells me she needs to talk to Jimmie to find out what's going on (I thought I was the customer and the one who's opinion should matter) she says she will call me back which she doesn't. I call the city and my insurance. The city comes out to check it and scopes and my problem is 6 feet from the side walk from where Jimmie said it belonged to the city, (I will attach picture of clear back up) the city tells me it's still on my side there's nothing they can do. He was really nice about it. Second company comes out and they clear my lines. Golden state ""cleared it"" 3 times and fixed nothing and this other company clears it in one shot. My sewer lines are now running smoothly! If this lady Tracy allows her son to run the show like this and displease customers like this, good luck to her business. They certainly lost mine. Hope this helps people looking for plumbers this place rips you off!!! Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

I am having plumbing issues which everyone can agree are the worst...so it is not helpful to have someone yelling at you when you are the customer.

Tracy at Golden State Plumbing was the worst. I asked to speak to her manager and she informed me she was the manager. Later I found out she is the owner too!!!

Furthermore when I tried explaining to the technician that I didn't need to pay the deductible/co-pay because this was the third plumber to come out and the warranty company should cover it 100% because it had already been paid and this is the same issue that has been going on since the first plumber. He said that he would have to call the office and let them know. Tracy told her technician to leave because of non-payment. He couldn't leave a receipt with the recommendation he was suggesting because I hadn't paid the co-pay.

I am beyond amazed at how they are still in business with an owner like Tracy.

If we hadn't had to deal with the office, this review would be a five. First, the good news. Michael was really nice, and did a terrific job. I would highly recommend him. Then, the bad news. It was a warranty job, and Michael wasn't notified that he was supposed to collect a copay. A lady from the office called and demanded that we give her our credit card details over the phone. We declined, but offered to send a check ASAP. She then got very rude and nasty, and was very difficult to deal with. Finally, she sent the plumber back to collect the check.

My home warranty company referred me to this company. They came out and didn't have the parts. Then said they would order the parts and call me back to reschedule. After a week I called them back and spoke to Tracy said that the warranty wouldn't cover the parts but if I bought the parts they would come back out to replace them, which was not correct. Tracy then called me back a third time and said I'd be responsible for paying the plumbers hourly fee, which was not how it was explained to me by the home warranty. When I questioned her she immediately started screaming like a wild banshee. Even if I was wrong, to start screaming like a total psycho is not the way to be doing business. No one deserves to be screamed at. Especially, a customer.

I'm sorry Jimmie, I really do think you were a prince of a man and you personally do good clean work & very fast too. But you asked me to keep that between you & me about you taking the water heater so their would be no issue with your mom who, is the front lady in the office. I didn't mention it because I am a man of my word. And, I can only assume that you agreed with me that she can be very loud and could have handled the customer service part way better so this is why you took the water heater.
Anyway, the city did pick up my other junk on the street the next day & I thank you for taking it to be recycled and not charging me $80.00
Look, I've made mistakes before,.. we all have but when I do, I was taught by my folks to step up and own it. Anyway, my intention here isn't to cause you grief or less business, but to hopefully for all us to learn from it, including those who might be reading this. yes, I should have studied what other options I had, but I think you for getting our hot water online so fast. And as far as me being ripped off, I can't help feel the way I feel about this whole situation.

Very unhappy with the workmanship. The shower that was supposed to be fixed no longer works. When I called they said it was not there fault. And I would have to get another work order made up through the insurance company. The office manager yelled that I was rude because I asked the plumber if I needed to pay a copay. And that I made the plumber wait 5 mins. Receptionist said that the plumber would call on his way, the office manager said that they don't have time to call everybody and that the receptionist should have not told me that and that the receptionist is going to be reprimanded for saying that. The whole thing was very unprofessional.

Golden State Plumbing is great! They came out the next day and diagnosed my water heater, because I have a home warranty it took an extra day to be replaced but that was the warranty problem. Tracy and Megan in the office were wonderful to deal with and really helped get my water heater replaced in a timely manner. I would recommend them.
