yes true may be a bit expensive but quite frankly all specialty companies are. You have to get to know the techs themselves some are salesman and will try to sell you the world but that is the INDIVIDUAL. NOT THE COMPANY. I say this because most are consciencious about the customer and what they need and what they can afford to do at this time. They are always prompt, efficient and thorough. I started out using TEDESCO and in turn Waterworks bought them out and I have been with them ever since. (at least 15 years) I have my water softener and purifier from them and I have never been disappointed. OH and I gave them a four on my review for no other reason but that this would be considered in their overall rating.

I paid for a whole-home plumbing inspection, which had a detailed list
of inclusions. The first plumber didn't show up. The second came and
only did about 1/4 of the list, gave me a $675 estimate to clean my
furnace, and didn't notice a badly leaking washer hose. The third came
and did see the washer hose, and correctly told me that a furnace
cleaning is under $100. However, one thing on the list was ""check
visible gas lines for leaks."" Turns out we had a gas leak, and the
plumber didn't notice. I asked why, and they said ""we only do a visible
inspection for gas leaks."" Excuse me? How can you SEE A NATURAL GAS
LEAK? For a full week, I went to bed in confidence that my
plumbing/heating was safe, and meanwhile natural gas was leaking (thank
God into a closed closet). They did come back relatively promptly when I
informed them of the leak--after O&R shut off my meter--and plumber
#4 gave me an estimate of $1500 to fix the leak, plus he would need to
rip out my living room ceiling (and I could fix it myself at my own
expense). He also gave me a long list of other gas repairs that just had
to be done, at extra cost, or O&R would ""never turn the gas back
on,"" even though the other 2 plumbers from his own company had inspected and approved my gas system. I quickly called another company, who came and fixed the gasleak in 3 hours, at a cost of $550, without touching the ceiling. And
without doing any of those other ""absolutely necessary"" expensive
replacements. And O&R not only turned my gas on, they complimented
the plumber who did the work! Water Works is a total ripoff in terms of
price, has no quality control, and is constantly full of excuses for the
errors and inconsistencies between their employees--but never an
apology, even after letting my toddlers inhale natural gas for a week
because they only ""visually"" check for gas leaks. Use at your own
risk--you do not know what plumber you will get, whether the repairs
they recommend are necessary or not, and I can guarantee that their
prices are three times the competition.

I agree with the first review They are response to calls very fast but super expensive. I believe I was overcharged since I got some ideas from website.

Don't even waste your time with these guys. Luis who came to simply give me an estimate was rude and truly unprofessional. walked into my house without a card, pad or even worse a tape measure. He gives me a price for a ductless system without explaining to me any specifics of the system. His excuse was, ""I'm not going to waste my time with calculations if you are not going with us."" Why would I want to work with someone with this attitude. I'm sorry I wasted my time. MRC

Very disappointed. They had done good work for me before, but on this particular day they decided to do someone else's job, and inform me half way through the day. Too bad I had scheduled the time far in advance and took a day off from work to see them. Another customer needed them, so I had to waste my day. I asked for a credit for the inconvenience, but they weren't interested, even though I had agreed to a ridiculously high quote. Turned a happy customer into an angry one. Waste of time.

They are pretty prompt and responsive and their workers are quite skilled but they are crazy expensive. Definitely get a second opinion for the big stuff or any job that seems like you might be being overcharged because chances are you are.

I have used this company before and have found them to be overpriced, but called them to replace a plastic piece that caused my toilet to keep running and replace a ignition breaker on my boiler also my faucet in the sink was leaking at the neck, the guy shows up and tells me to fix the toilet was going to be like 350,the boiler breaker like 375 and to fix the leak like 75, I was on the road and I was talking to this guy on the phone debating the cost when he (an employee of the company) starts lecturing me on the cost of running a business (I own a pretty large company) and he starts becoming really obnoxious and starts saying ""Do you want the work done or not,I dont have time for this"" I told him to ""put his tools back in his bag and get out of my house"" I called my friend in town and he gave me the phone number of his independent plumber I called him he came over the next day and did all 3 projects for a total of $240.00 I will never use Water Works again, stay away they are a rip-off.

Terrible experience. We purchased a hot water heater warrantee in 2010. The same service provider .Frank, came to our house to repair the heater. He immediately pulled the sticker off or our heater and stated that it did not qualify for a warrantee. He stated that he would repair it free of charge since he made an error selling us the warantee. He found a loose sensor wire and then informed us that it would cost $500.00 to repair. We immediately called the office to speak to a supervisor and also left a message with the Mr. Medaglia. No return calls all day despite calling a few times. We are very upset. Frank left us with a completely malfunctioning water heater. Would not recommend this company.

I'm glad Miguel and Frank had great experience but sadly I didn't. I live nearby and they took forever to come out. Worse part is they don't have the part and I waited a week. Be ready to pay $$$$, not that I have any choice.

A tenant coordinated a repair of a dripping shower lever, the service tech absolute ripped me off charging $429 to change a washer. Had the identical repair done the previous year for less than half the price, by a licensed plumber and they changed more parts.
