Because we had a good experience with Shaun some years ago, I contacted George Plumbing this week to clear our plugged, kitchen sink drain. Same day appointment was scheduled for the afternoon.
(Upon scheduling the appointment, they stressed that their "new" way of doing business would be to diagnose the situation and provide alternatives to fix the problem; in this case the clogged drain!)
Dan and Austin showed up as promised to diagnose the situation and provide alternatives. The drain was stopped up and needed to be "snaked," but first they needed an alternate solution to comply with their "new" way of doing business.
At this point they needed to look outside the house to determine if there could be an issue with the exterior drain line.
Seemingly, the outside line could have issues affecting drainage so now they provided their altetnatives.
They could dig up and replace 5 or 6 feet of exterior pipe at an estimated cost of over $1,000 or create a temporary bypass for $360. No consideration was given to using the snake as a primary solution.
That being said, without thinking, I chose the temporary fix and they cut the existing line and created a bypass from the exposed exterior pipe to the cleanout, only to discover the drain was still plugged!
Now, after the failed alternative fix and a 3 inch chip out of our front door threshold, caused by dragging the snake machine through the door, they used the snake to successfully open our drain.
$360 down the drain! Next time I'll call Roto Rooter!

This company was referred to me by another company because they were suppose to knew how to install a shower tower, called to get a estimate they refused stating that a person needed to come out and a fee of $95 was required just to get him out here. I set up the appointment. The gentleman was very nice but wasnt sure how to price it and contacted the office, based on the company's new pricing structure they wanted to charge me almost $1400. that's about $600 per hour. I reached out to the office and they explained that's there pricing, therefore I declined and explained that I should have been giving a idea of the cost when I first called and i would never have setup the appoinment. I will never recommend or use this company Again.

Will and Nathan arrived a few hours early which was awesome because I had to cancel an appointment and because they arrived earlier I was able to keep the appointment. Scheduled a service call with them. Very prompt. Doug came out, very polite man. We discussed the situation and came to the conclusion that it was our water softener. Gave us 5 options to choose from. Our schedule was tight so, we didn't have alot of options as far as day when it could be installed. Thanks to Doug staying a little late, we have a new water softener. He explained everything we needed to know about maintaining our new softener. We will be using them in the future. Highly recommend them.

Called, explained problem, and advised they could be there in a matter of hours. I elected to do it next AM, as we had an engagement to attend to.

Prior to arrival I had received a photo of the plumber (Kody) and he arrived on time and assessed the situation. The service call had a price regardless. Fortunately, the situation was cleared by simply plunging our shower. We only had to pay for the service call. And Kody applied the discount coupon found on their website.

I appreciated their response time and their courtesy in resolving our issue.

I will definitely call on them again.

YELL YELL YELL 4 George!!! Doug arrived early and packed the one hour minimum with very successful work. He made a gas line fix and birddogged an issue with our RO unit until he found the problem. It is clear that this veteran plumber loves his work and is dedicated to customer service. I've always appreciated George Plumbing but today I'm their happiest customer. Thank you.

**READ THIS** FRAUD ALERT***never use this company, never ask them for anything. Yet they billed me for the first time out of the blue $190 for doing nothing, and the same month. It was reported to the credit bureau somehow. I never authorized anything, I never agreed to anything, I never signed anything. If this happened to me I'm sure it's happened to many others. I'm getting my Law Firm involved and we may report to the Better Business Bureau. They can't do this to people and get away with it. This is just not right and I'm going to make sure it isn't having anybody else we have the means to put on the hammer on people like this. I'm the wrong guy to mess with. We are actively searching for others that have experience the same for this company. If you or someone know has had a similar issue we would like to speak with you. Further, we're filing a complaint with. TEXAS STATE BOARD OF PLUMBING EXAMINERS in Austin. Giddy-up!!

My shower was clogged. Shawn and Austin came out and fixed the clog and a couple of other things. They were very detailed and super friendly. They are a little on the expensive side, but we'll worth it to get job done right. I will definitely use them again.
