Our water heater broke . We call American Home Shield they refer Gennaro's pluming . My husband turn off the water from the water heater and drain water . We had water all over the water heater closet to my kitchen floors and outside kitchen door . We ask American home Shield if we could clean water and drain the water heater . They said yes to contain water damage because they only cover the heater. We took video and pictures of everything just in case . This plumber guy Frank came he said he needed to see where the leak was coming from . We show him the video , and pictures . He said : ""I believe you but I can't send your pictures "". He even advices us to take care off the water that went into my kitchen cabinets. We told him we had the contractor that did our kitchen coming by to make sure of any water the went under the cabinets . Frank did his report that my water heater had no leak. Wow !!! Really after the advice Frank !!! And pictures we showed you . This pluming is the worse !! My husband call to ask why Frank said their was no leak this lady that answer hung up didn't even let my husband talk . He was in my house less than 15 minutes did nothing to verify the leak. Very incompetent and unprofessional!

This contractor was sent out on behalf of my home warranty (First American) to inspect a garbage disposal that was no longer working. The plumber arrived, inspected my garbage disposal, reported to me that the garbage disposal was no longer functional and that it was the result of normal wear and tear as it was very old.

The plumber went out to his van to check if he had a replacement and promptly returned to report that he did not have a replacement and that he was going to have to order a replacement and that he would contact me upon the arrival of the replacement.

A week and a half passed without any contact from the plumber so i called the company who reported to me that they submitted the report to my home warranty and were awaiting their approval before they proceeded.

I checked the the status of my service request which stated that the request was ""closed."" I called my home warranty who reported to me that the contractor stated in his report that the garbage disposal was broken due to a screw that he found and that the claim would not be covered.

It may very well be that my garbage disposal was no longer functioning due to circumstances outside of normal wear and tear however that is not what was communicated to me or what i was led to believe. Furthermore the plumber never showed me any screw that he had found in the disposal.

Gennaro's plumbing receives a 1 star only because i cannot give them 0. They not only lied to me about my garbage disposal and that it was going to be replaced but they didn't have the decency to inform me that the service request was closed and I firmly believe that there was never any screw.

If you have had similar experiences with them, please file a formal complaint with the better business bureau, and your home warranty. This business should be held accountable for how it treats its customers.

We had Sears home warranty, hot water heater went out, they sent Gennaros as contractor. They agreed new one needed, never contacted us again, would not answer calls. We replaced it ourselves, Sears will not reimburse us for the cost because Gennaros never sent a report.
Worst customer service ever from Gennaros and Sears Home warranty.

I'm not sure if it's Cinch Home Warranty, Gennaro's Plumbing, or a combination of the two. My advice, stay away from both.

They lie! They called to tell me they're going to be at my property for sn insurance Inspection and they don't call or text to let you know their ETA or that they expect you to wait all day for them!? So unprofessional!!

Used Gennaro's plumbing through First American home warranty as I had a leak in the tub and the plumber REFUSED to touch the piping because he said it was previously ""tampered"" with. I know for a fact no one has touched the piping of my tub in the last 11 yrs that I have owned the home. He was also argumentative and wouldn't let me speak. He just stormed off and my issue was never resolved. Now, First American home warranty refuses to send somebody else again unless they can prove that the piping was NOT tampered with and FAHW refused to refund my $85 service fee. All in all, a horrible situation.

Worst company ever!. Our garbage disposal stopped working and Old plumber wrote a report that we used Draino so home warranty won't cover it. We never used that and I didn't know what it was til they said it and I looked it up.
At first when he came out he said it's broken we will replace it. He pretended to go look in his van and came back to say he didn't have one with him so he will have to contact his company and find out what to do. A week had gone back and no one contacted me so I finally called.
Patty said I would have to call warranty company and find out.( which should be her job). I called to ask about status and they told me they took would give me a call in 24 hours. After 3 days warranty company reported to me false report they were given

This company was contacted by my home warranty company (FAHW) on a Wednesday night as my sink, showers and toilets were all backed up. I was their first call on Thursday morning. The gentleman that arrived was very nice and cleaned out the main line in the front of the house. My husband asked if he would also check the main line in the back of the house and he told us it was not necessary, that everything is clear and we should resume using the toilets, as needed. Eight hours later on the same Thursday, everything plugs up again. I call FAHW again and they call Genarro Plumbing again to redo the work and I am told to expect them on Friday morning, that they will call me first thing in morning. I hear nothing from plumber and call Genarro Plumbing. I am told that they will be out in 1-2 hours. After 2 hours passed, I called Genarro Plumbing again and they tell me that the home warranty company canceled the service call. I call FAHW and they indicate that this is untrue, the call was not canceled. I call Genarro Plumbing and offer to get the three of us on a conference call to see where the communication breakdown is occurring and they refuse. I call FAHW again and I am put on hold while they call Nancy at Genarro Plumbing. She denies that they told me the service call was canceled! Well, if there was no cancelation after all, why did the plumber not show as he was supposed to the second time to fix this situation properly?!

I would never recommend this company. They should be eager to come back out and do this repair properly, rather than giving me the runaround. It has now been over 24 hours since I have had properly functioning toilets, sinks and showers. The only reason for one star is I am unable to give them none.

If only FAHW read the Yelp reviews!

Tried to scare us into fixing more than we needed and pushed using a buddy of his service to charge even more. got a second and third opinion that did not agree with what he said. The plumber Frank was especially sketchy.

If I could give no stars.
Insurance company sent plumber. Older guy comes and takes a look in the hole my husband had cut and says ""I can't see anything. This looks like an issue with the builder. They will cover since it's less than 10 years old!"" False false false. Then he reports this to the insurance company so they won't cover! He hasn't looked to see what's leaking. You can't tell from the hole in the ceiling (leak in 2nd floor bathroom). How do you know it's a builder issue if you don't know where water is from? Now I have to fight for 2nd opinion. Don't waste time! Plumber should find actual leak before writing any reports!!!
