Brandi L.Let this one star identify as ZERO STAR REVIEW. I bought a Rheem water heater from Home Depot that needed to repaired. They had this joke of a company call me to set up a service appointment. On the day before Thanksgiving, l was prepping things for the holiday and they called around 3pm and said they were sending someone by, they were in the area and would be at the house in a half hour. The had called very quickly after I had gotten off the call with Rheem, I was impressed. The man was very nice and professional. They never showed up. They never called and said they couldn't make it. They never answered their phone when I was calling to ask when they would be at the house as I had to go to the market.
I called Rheem to let them know they cannot send them to me, I wanted someone else. FAST WATER HEATER came out and did the repair work. FAST WATER HEATER was PROFESSIONAL, CALL THEM.
Rheem had someone call me back to ask what happened with Genaro's. She was very interested in the details as they had multiple complaints about them and wanted to send the information to corporate so their contract with them could be reviewed.
So ths joke of a plumbing company could not fix a leak from a kitchen sink drain. They were sent out by a home warranty company (AHS, also a joke). They said there were access issues and missing parts. Well I have been a plumber for 35 years (by the way I specialize in water Heaters, and don't work on sink drains). I drove 2.5 hrs to and then 2.5 hrs back home to do 20 minutes of work, $12 in parts. Including the time it took me to run to Home Depot it took 1 hour to fix the leak. Less than 20 minutes actually working on the drain. This is not a plumbing company. They are a bunch of scamers.
Be AWARE Gennaro's works with a restoration company called Pro Dry which also do shady unneeded work . A few weeks ago our Rheem water heater had a very slow leak. I telephoned Rheem and told them about the water heater leaking. Rheem said they would call a plumber to my residence to replace the water heater. Franco with Gennaro's showed up to my home. First of all a pan was placed under the water heater to catch the water leak which it did. The water remained in the pan. Franco is a fast talker and charismatic. Instead of doing the work he tightened the water heater spigot to stop the leak and left saying he was contacting a company to have them verify if there was water damage. The next day Rick with ProDry came to my home told me to open a claim on my home insurance because there was water damage. Needless, to say I realized he was about to do fraudulent work that was NOT needed. Gennaro's Plumbing or ProDry will take advantage of your situation they will scam you to get $$$ from your home insurance. We filed a complaint with the Contractors State License Board and Better Business Bureau.
Too bad 0 stars are not available. Total fraud of a company. Select Home Warranty assigned them to address our water heater issue and once they contacted me they asked if it was not producing hot water or leaking. When I said both that was the last I heard from them. They just sent a mitigation company (but made sure to get there 65.00 fee) No call backs, They never showed up but submitted their ""findings"" to Select who denied the claim. So in my opinion they are submitting false reports. How can you send a diagnostic on a water heater you never laid eyes on ?? The only way I got any contact was to send an e-mail thru their web site. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
Ghosted. Totally unprofessional. Do not use these . They don't answer the phone at all
My 2 sinks were not draining well and my toilet was making a flushing nose without being flushed. I called first American home warranty and they sent Gennaro plumbing to my house. I had to make the appointment. They never called me. I was making an appointment over text. When they came, the plumber tried to fix the sinks and by pushing water thru the sinks with his hand. It worked for a bit but the problem came back minutes after he left. He then checked the toilet and said it's corroded inside and needs to be replaced since the toilet is old. He said he will order a western pottery toilet for me. And also water flush the sinks when he comes back. 3 days later I found out the work order has been closed because there was nothing wrong with my sinks and toilet. I couldn't get hold of the plumbers. No answer thru text. First American said their report stated no mechanical problems. The plumber didn't do anything and the problems I have before still exists. Nothing was fixed. My sinks are still overflowing and my toilet still makes a noise. I wouldn't recommend this company. Stay away. No communication at all.
So after three weeks of waiting. I finally got my sink and toilet fixed. I was assigned a new plumber and they were very professional and honest. They fixed the sink overflow, they cleaned the pipes below the sink and changed the flapper in the toilet. I don't need a new toilet.
This Place is HORRIBLE!!!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TRASH.
Do not use
1 time never showed up. 2nd time rang door bell then left. 3rd gave us a window 1pm to 4
When my husband missed called try to call back 5 times with no response. We were at house at 1 took time off work, they canceled again.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Would never ever recommend this company. They are contracted thru home warranty services. They write up false reports without even showing up to the property. They will dispatch Pro Dry for the mitigation. PLEASE STAY AWAY and save yourself the headache.
This is the absolute worst plumbing company around. They are not reliable and can careless about your needs. Customer service is terrible and not professional. Stay away from this company at all costs! Their technicians are always behind schedule and have to move your appointments however, the office staff doesn't reschedule your appointment!
Veronica R.DO NOT HIRE OR DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE EVIL,RUDE AND MAKE FALSE REPORTS! I filed a claim with my Sears home warranty for my water heater that is not providing hot water. My water heater is located in my back yard in a water heater house. It is perfectly fine and according to the gas company, the controller most likely is the issue. Gennaros reported that my water heater is corroded and that there is rat poop on top of the water heater house. Frank from Gennaros never brought a ladder to look on top of the water heater or on top of the water heater house. The water heater house sits on top of a 3 foot metal stand so there is no way to see on top without a ladder. The dropping on top of the water heater house is the flowers that fall from my Queen Palm tree located right next to the water heater. I have been without hot water for 5 days now and I have 3 small kids plus my disabled son whom requires bathing 3 times a day due to his health. Please listen to me, this company appears to get the $100 deductible for each service call and leaves them hanging. I called the manager and tried to explain and he rudely cut me off and went on to say that I'm wrong and I could eventually get a 2nd opinion. Really, 2nd opinion after being without hot water for 5 days now and who knows how long it will take. I asked the manager if they have sent over the report already to Sears warranty and he said I dont know...I dont work in that field. Omg.....I'm in tears in dealing with this company and there false alliteration.
