This company got sent out to me through my landlords insurance. Initially I missed the receptionist (patty) phone call to set up an appointment. I called her back in about an hour's time being that it was 12:00 p.m. when she initially called. I figured maybe she was at lunch. I left a voicemail letting them know that I was returning a phone call and included my name and number. I never got a phone call back to schedule an appointment. After notifying my landlord he called them and scheduled an appointment for them to come out. Even though this was a small indicator that this company is clearly trash in my eyes it got worse. The plumbing issue we were having was unknown and the only thing I could describe to my landlord was that water was gushing out of our wood tiles when you stepped on them in our restroom. So clearly we had a leak. So the plumbing company came out the next day. As soon as the plumber knocked up my door and I opened it I could immediately tell that his demeanor was very unprofessional. He rushed into my home and with an attitude asked what the problem was. I told him that it was in the restroom so I guided him there. Right away with another attitude said ""what's the problem""!!! I told him look at the floor when you step on it water gushes out!!! With even more hostility he quickly grabs a small tool holds it to the wall and says this whole wall needs to be knocked down and there's a lot of water damage. He asked me if I had my landlord's number. I asked him if he would like me to call him and he said yes. Since my landlord didn't answer he quickly pulled out paperwork and said to sign and he would have his office call him and just walked out!! Even though this seems like it was a long interaction he was probably in my home for about 5 minutes!! I truly felt like he did not act professional whatsoever and didn't even discuss any options that I had as far as fixing this issue. It made me feel uncomfortable to even sign this document with no service was performed. The way he spoke to me as though I should have known there was water damage to the wall internally!! That's why the hell he was there to help figure out what the issue was. Even though I am not the one that is dealing with the insurance to get this corrected I still felt the need to write a review for this terrible experience that I had. Clearly this is a trend this company has after reading these reviews. They do not deserve any business!! It's sad to say that being that small businesses are suffering but they clearly don't care and do not even try to even provide extraordinary customer service!!

I wish there was an option for no starts at all. My home warranty provider assigned Gennaro's to me to check out my water heater. Patty contacted me on Friday, 8/3/21 to inform me the next available appoint was either Monday or Thursday, so I accepted Monday. Technician shows up Monday, takes one look at the water heater and say this is really old, you need a new one. I was told he would inform the warranty provider that it needed be replaced. Well that is NOT what they did. They told them that it was not normal wear and tear which in turn my repair/replace claim was denied. Prior to Gennaro's coming out I called the gas company who had checked it on Saturday and advised the thermal coupling was no longer working. So the report the lies grime Gennaro's was a complete shock. Because of Gennaro's false report my family has been without water for a week. I had to get a 2nd opinion from another contractor to get the denial over turned. The second contractor agreed with the Gas Co. Gennaro's has bad reviews on Yelp and with BBB and I definitely see why. I do not recommend this terrible company.

I wish they had a negative star system. They came out under First American Home Shield and has never completed the work. Every time I call they don't call back. I called the insurance today and Patty lied to the insurance company saying false information. They are so unprofessional, unreliable and a joke. I would hate for anyone to use them for real work since they are a joke of a company.

Was not reliable in scheduling valve replacement for our water heater. When appointment was made, called the day of and was told the technician was out the rest of the weekend. Cold showers for 2 weeks almost now, yikes

This company is contracted with American Home Shield and they are awful. They reported false information to AHS not sure if it was a mistake or incompetence or both but it resulted in my claim being denied and they lied to me and pretended AHS made the mistake. All in all AHS and Gennaro's plumbing should be avoided by any means to do business with. Buyer definitely beware. Before leaving this review the company was given several opportunities to do the right thing they did not. I am a business owner so I don't take giving negative reviews or any reviews for that matter lightly. This company should not be in business.

We are going out of town Friday so we needed our heavily leaking sinks fixed before our trip. Gennaro's Plumbing was supposed to arrive Monday. We waited all day. No one answered their phone until late. We were told somehow the ""missed"" coming to our home. They said they will be here the next day. So, the next day, Tuesday, we waited. The plumber rung our doorbell and my husband answered. The plumber had on a mask a d told my husband he too needed to wear a mask. My husband asked ""why do I have to wear a mask in my own home"". The plumber replied ""I'll be back"". He then quickly walked to his truck and sped off. He lied saying ""he'd be back"". That was his excuse to leave and not reply to my husbands question or allow my husband to get a mask to put on. This company is very unprofessional and I will never use them in the future.

worst company! if your home warranty went through them call them back and ask for another. they have yet to fix my leak and aren't even returning any of my calls.

Worst Plumbing company avoid if you can PLEASE! Save yourself a headache! Their assistant or wanna be secretary ""Patty"" is rude and pretends to be the ""owner"" she lacks in professionalism! She never returned any of my calls and on top of everything she wants you to be making the calls because her lazy ass can't do Shit! She will ignore your calls and when she finally decides to answer she is whispering to someone in the office letting them know is you again! That is definitely nasty attitude of her! This company has Poorly trained employees and they will crew you over! AVOID THEM!!!! Give your money and the opportunity to a legitimate company. Do NOT GIVE It to GENNARO'S PLUMBING!!!!!!!

They never show up, just keep giving me the run around. Never called a plumber who didnt want my money,Not like they are going to be working for free. Do not hire Genaros pluming for anything, u will be disappointed the secretary is also a joke . Wish they would be honest and just say they are not coming.

Not sure about the other reviews, but I had amazing service. My tankless hot water heater went out yesterday and I called the manufacturer to get it replaced. They told me it was up to me to find a plumber to remove then then take the heater to an approved site to exchange it then have the plumber reinstall it. I could not find one that would do that. I then went back on the manufacturer website and found a local installer. I called Gennaro's about 9:30 am and they were at my house by 10:30 am with a brand new tankless hot water heater and It was installed by 11:15 am. I could not be more happy knowing I don't have to take another cold shower.
