This place doesn't even deserve one star! This is the place our warranty company sent and we got Frank. First of all, they never answer the phone, I'm surprised we even got ahold of them the first time to come out. So this guy comes out, seems nice at first and tells us (i should mention it's for no hot water because something was wrong with our hot water heater) so he tells us ""oh you definitely need a new hot water heater, this one is done"". He looks at the gallon capacity and says it's a 40 gallon and has a hard time reading it (he is very far into his senior years I should mention). I told him that no, it's 50 gallon and showed him and he disagreed and then i had to tell him that i would take a picture of it so I could zoom up and show him it's not 40 it's 50. Finally he gets super close to it and sees that it is indeed 50. So no big deal on that but then he tells us ""I'll get my report in as soon as possible and get you a new water heater and I'll tell them that there's a disabled person living there so they will rush it"". I told him ""that's awesome because there are actually 2 disabled people living here so that's not a lie"". So I wait a day and then call the warranty service and they still haven't gotten the report, i wait 2 more days and i try calling the plumber and they also try and nobody answers, nobody answers, nobody answers. Mind you this whole time we have no hot water and it's winter so the showers are ice cold and cant wash dishes properly with cold water...we are literally boiling huge pots of water to take sponge baths and wash dishes with! So at about the week and a half mark, i call the warranty place again and they FINALLY get ahold of this guy and he gives them his report over the phone and he tells them ""oh their water heater is just probably dirty""! To say i was fuming mad was an understatement! He told us it needed to be replaced and told them it was just ""dirty""! Then they said that they would not cover it if it's just dirty. I told the lady everything that he had told me and that it wasn't just dirty. The lady at the warranty place told me that she highly doubts that we would go almost 2 weeks without hot water if it was just dirty so she said they would send someone else out for a 2nd opinion. I am happy to say that we just had our entire water heater replaced because the old one did have an issue and it was not just dirty! If your warranty company sends you this guy, refuse him and get someone else! This guy is shady as they come! Once he comes out he will tell you one thing and tell them another, he won't get his report in on time and you won't be able to get ahold of him at all to discuss anything! I think he thinks that in order to keep working for these warranty companies that he has to try his best to get claims denied, I don't know but I know we aren't the only ones he's done this to!

This company is nothing but a JOKE and a FRAUD, stay far away from them! We called our home warranty in regards to a cracked water heater pipe, where this plumbing company was assigned. We had no Hot water and continued to experience flooding in our garage. We were told someone from the company was going to call us that day.. no one ever did! I called multiple times and left emergency voicemails due to us having to care for my 90 year old grandmother, and of course with having no hot water, made it extremely difficult. I was finally called by a representative from this company where they shared they received our voicemail, and would immediately send someone out to fix the problem. We waited for about an hour and all of a sudden a woman named Mercedes from Swift Dry which is a restoration company came out.. where she then set up humidifiers, and continued to show concern that the plumber had yet to come to stop the leak. We waited another day where we called and called and no one ever called us back... we then contacted our home warranty to complain.. where they then shared with us that they spoke to the plumbing company, which lied and said they had came and fixed the problem, which they DID NOT! So unfortunately after having no HOT WATER and continuing to experience a leak, we had to contact an outside plumber who was able to replace the pipe which stopped the leak and restored our hot water!
What is absolutely disgusting about this, is that this plumbing company as well as Swift Dry worked to together and lied to the Home Warranty stating they rectified the problem, but never did! I say this because we then were showed a copy of a bill from this GARBAGE plumbing company of $600 stating they fix and replaced our water heater.. Yet no one from this company stepped foot on our property except Swift Dry! Which of course IS NOT a plumbing company! Warning you now, STAY AWAY FROM THEM BOTH!!!

If zero was possible I would rate this absolutely joke of a plumbing business. They were sent to my house in response to the First American home warranty company, which is equally worthless The plumber showed up somehow magically looked inside a water pressure valve and deemed that it was tampered with by someone at my house. This pressure regulator passed a home inspection prior to the purchase of our home, the plumber explained that he was going to get a part and he would be right back four hours later. I had to call the home warranty company to find out where he went and he submitted a claim stating that this was a pre-existing condition and never came back to tell us anything, including leaving the water shut off while my wife, grandmother and children Had to wait until I was able to get a legitimate plumber, who wrote everything in writing as to how this was not a pre-existing condition that it was a failure of the product itself. I tried calling the plumbing company went to voicemail with no return call. If you were considering calling this plumbing company for anything, you should have an examination done after reading this I would not recommend this company to anybody and it's not because they didn't fix the problem. It's because of the deceit and lack of accountability such as coming back and turning our water on the plumber already knew in his mind that he was going to dismiss this claim, but left with a smile on his face with my wife, having the expectation that he would be back. I reported this plumbing company to First American home warranty and they said there was nothing they could do because the plumbers say is final. I normally never take the time to leave a yelp review, but this one is deserving of it.

Our water regulator went out. Plumber from our home warranty came & looked at it. Said he had to go get right part & would be right back. He never returned. Meanwhile we had water turned off. When calling home warranty to find out why he never returned they stated technician closed out call as we had messed with the spring system making this not under warranty. An absolute complete lie! An outrage that a company can be so corrupt. Flat out liars. I wouldn't trust them for anything--this company is what gives plumbers a bad reputation.

I just got a house and the kitchen sink was backed up. Luckily I remembered to try to use the Home Warranty with First American and they had Gennaro's Plumbing come out to take a look within a couple days. I looked up reviews first and was pretty worried.

When the gentleman showed up at my door he was on time within the time frame, very professional and was extremely kind to my dog which I was going to lock up to give him room to work but he had his own dogs so he was very friendly with my pup.

He then checked the sink and immediately knew he had to snake it so he got his tools from his truck and ran the hot water + snake at the same time and ran the entire length all the way to the street just to make sure it all got cleared and voila! It was cleared and when he pulled out it he showed me there was dried up grease clogging up the pipe at the very end which a little bit came back out when he pulled the snake out.

Overall my experience was extremely professional and extremely kind. I cannot possibly expect a better service from any company. I am very happy with the service I received!! I give Gennaro's Plumbing 10/10!!

The guy told me that he will be in to service our plumbing between 10 and 2pm and I took the day off to meet with him. At 2:20pm I texted him to see if he is coming or not. He responded that their system had an issue and now they wont be coming and that they can come Monday. This means three days from Thursday. He said if can confirm, i said no and they said ok. No customer consideration of my day lost. How do they do business? Terrible.

Absolutely THE WORST most unprofessional plumber I have ever had to deal with. American home shield sent him out. He literally did nothing, said that nothing needed to be done, didn't bother to listen. Still got paid from American home shield and we couldn't get the problem resolved by another plumber because he was holding up paperwork (so we were told by AHS). After 3 1/2 weeks of trying to get the plumbing resolved with AHS, we canceled our warranty service. This is the type of people that they send out to your house. They don't care, the contractor gets paid and their consumer gets no work done

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. My kitchen sink was backed up and he claimed I didn't have a cleanout that could clear my clog. He claimed that I needed one installed. How is it that I called a plumber and they got the job done with the existing cleanout there? A WEEK WASTED and hundreds of dollars spent on outside food (no kitchen available to cook) waiting for a claim through my home warranty! Why do they use them? Save your time and money, and like many others, don't bother ever waiting for them to come out. Why does American Home Warranty company USE THEM?????????

This contractor / plumber was assigned to look at my stove (yes, my stove...) by the incredibly brilliant minds at my home warranty provider, First American.

After trying to explain to FA in very slow words why a plumber should not be assigned to fix an oven, and pointing out this contractors awful reviews on Yelp, I was forced to ""just give Gennaro's a try"". Well, after weeks of unanswered and unreturned phone calls, I gave up. Of course, when First American would call, they'd pick up and promise to call me to schedule an appointment, in which... they never did. Eventually, I got reassigned to another bottom of the barrel contractor at FA who also did absolutely nothing.

Moral of the story. Save your time and money and AVOID this contractor and First American at all costs.

This company was notified to come out by our home warranty company. We were told all day through phone calls that they would be there. I waited all day and no show. We had an emergency issue in our home of an extreme blockage in the main line. After waiting all day I called my home warranty and Gennaro's Plumbing lied to them stating they had called me earlier to cancel the call. This never happened. Just got a call a week later asking to set up my appointment.

Do yourself a favor, do what ever you can do to call ANY other company but these guys.
