I rarely write reviews however, the exceptional service and superior work provided by Master Plumber Chris Horton simply had to be shared! We recently purchased a new home and began a large scale renovation. In anticipation of a new stove delivery we discovered the gas line needed to be relocated. My husband contacted Chris after much research and was quickly impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Chris was prompt, genuine, honest, thorough and generous in his knowledge. Having dealt with numerous contractors I can assure you his rates are VERY reasonable. More importantly, I have the confidence and peace of mind that the work done was completed by an expert. I will happily recommend Chris to family, friends and colleagues.

I was in trouble regarding my hot water heater. Companies were not available, booked up. Strolling Yelp I found General Plumbing Services. I gave Chris some basic information about my hot water heater issues. He arrived within the hour. Checking the heater he determined what possibly caused the problem. Chris contacted the warranty company. The were difficult. Therefore, I decided it was best to get a new hot water heater. Chris arrived today, however, there was a propane valve issue. He turned off the propane and proceeded to install the new heater. I contacted the servicing company. Chris addressed problem with a supervisor. He indicated a technician would be dispatched.
Finishing up his work Chris left.
The technician arrived. Then I looked up and Chris was back. Explaining, he passed the tech on the road and turned around. They discussed the propane matter that damaged my hot water heater purchased 2 years ago.
Afterwards Chris left. The propane at this time is working.
Ln occasion I find some companies: owners/ representative/service techs will rush giving minimum insight relating to the issue(s).
Chris is a true advocate for customers to be heard by him and all companies.

Chris from General Plumbing Services is excellent and prompt. The sink at my girlfriend's place had been clogged for almost a week and the useless landlord had sent out some handyman who claimed it couldn't be fixed. Needless to say my girlfriend called Chris and he came out quickly. He repaired the pipes under the sink and unclogged the drain with a plumbing snake. Chris was gongenial, clean and efficient. I would recommend Chris for any and all your plumbing needs.

I'm not a plumber. That's why guys like me hire plumbers. I hired Chris to repair a leaky pipe in my garage. It was a pipe coming into the garage, going to a pressure reduction valve, and then going into the house. Unbeknownst to me the pipe was leaking at both sides of the pipe. Chris quoted me a price of $140. His was the only quote I asked for due to his high reviews. $140 seemed respectable so I hired him. He arrived and was pleasant and professional.
He was surprised the pipe was 1.25"" and not 1"". He said I told him 1"". I knew I didn't but didn't know where that info came from until I re-read our messages and saw he mentioned 1"". I guess that's the standard size and I did t correct him. He fixed the leak I pointed out to him. I purchased $50 worth of 1.25"" copper pipe in anticipation of a friend fixing it. The friend fell through. I had no need for the pipe so I gave it to Chris. I didn't mind and it was my idea. Technically I was out $190 for this repair.

I looked the next day and I still had some dripping. Turns out the fitting just needed to be retightened. He came back and did that and left.

But I still had a leak. Turns out the upper pipe leak, which was dripping onto the lower pipe, was masking a leak from the lower pipe. From my standpoint this is one problem. I understand I missed that leak but I also believe it is all part of the same problem. I also believe if a plumber comes to fix a leak he should be able to find a second leak 10"" away.

I contacted Chris and told him of the problem. He advised it was going to cost an additional $150. Definitely not what I signed up for. I respected the fact a man has to make a living and the job didn't go as planned. In the end I offered him $100 cash and reminded him I have him the $50 worth of pipe that was $290 total out of pocket for me. He wanted the $140 I gave him plus an additional $150 and he ignored the issue of the $50 pipe.

I was polite and professional and he accused me of threatening to retaliate against him. Completely untrue. That was the point I was done negotiating.

My biggest complaint is his lack of detail finding the leak 10"" away and his lack of professionalism when he accused me of threatening to retaliate. I'm posting screenshots of our communication for reference. I apologize if they are out of order.

EDIT: I never threatened a bad review as his reply states. EVER! All of our communication was done via message or text. You are a liar.

Never used their service but sent them a quote request for an issue i was having with my sink and food disposal. He gave me great advice that helped me fix it on my own. Will definitely reach out to them if i need plumbing services. Thank you!

Being relatively new to Ca I took my chances in hiring General Plumbing to fix a leaking shower valve. Chris returned my call within a half hour and arrived at the house promptly at the agreed appointment time. He was courteous, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I will definitely call him again and will certainly refer him to my neighbors.

Received a very good detail quote. Back in April for water heater. Finally went ahead with it, he came out at appointment time set up, did a great job , cleaned up job site . Would use him again for plumbing needs.He is n the pricey side of other jobs, 30 min garbage disposal $125, 1 hour water regulator, $540!!!! Check out other prices

What a nice guy! Had an emergency with a leak under the sink. He answered the phone and was at the house within 30 minutes. Gave a one year written warranty on the repair without me even asking for it. Will definitely keep his number and use him for all of my plumbing needs.
