Started in 1968 by my dad in the Poconos, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. Jankowski Plumbing and HVAC. I grew the specialties and trades. When I moved my family to Florida in 2004, I had to start fresh and join a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to fulfill the state's 4-year requirement by Florida law before taking the state exam.

We made our mark in 2005 as Volusia Gas & Welding and transformed into Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I secured my first state certification; Master Gas Installer License # LP803-27524. I got my State certified Plumbing license in 2010. I’ve worked in the gas industry since 1983 and the plumbing field since I was able to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I’ve been in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about 14 years now.

Well, I thought I didn't want to deal with Plumbing anymore, so I signed up in the US Air Force before I graduated in 1982 under the delayed enlistment program...my dad had mixed feelings about the old man, I tell you. I hoped to travel the globe and uphold the family legacy to serve the nation. I completed my service overseas in England until 1986 and came back stateside to Homestead, FL until 1989. I connected with my wife in the service, and we moved to Upstate NY, where we made our home and began our family. I went to work for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas technician and installer. We lived the years 1990 to 2004 in the scenic area in the Northeast. It got too cold, so we moved back to Florida. I always wanted to own my own business, so this is our journey. A family-run local business.
