Founded in 1968 by my dad in the Poconos region of Pennsylvania, NY and NJ. Jankowski Plumbing and HVAC. I added the range of services. After relocating my family to Florida in 2004, I needed to begin anew and work for a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to fulfill the minimum 4-year requirement by Florida law before sitting for the state exam.

We made our mark in 2005 as Volusia Gas and Welding and transformed into Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I obtained my first state certification; State Master Gas Installer License # LP803-27524. I achieved my state certification in plumbing in 2010. I’ve been involved in the gas industry since 1983 and the plumbing industry since I was old enough to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I’ve worked in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about 14 years.

Well, I thought I didn't wish to work in Plumbing anymore, so I signed up in the US Air Force before graduation in 1982 under the delayed enlistment option...my father was thrilled about the old man, I tell you. I wanted to travel the globe and carry on the family tradition to serve our great nation. I served overseas in England until I returned in 1986 and moved back stateside to Homestead, FL up until 1989. I connected with my wife in the service, and we moved to Upstate NY, where we made our home and began our family. I took a job for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas service technician. We spent those years in the scenic area in the Northeast. The weather turned too frigid, so we relocated back to Florida. I had always dreamed to own my own business, so this is where we are now. A family-run local business.
