Established in 1968 by my father in the Poconos region of Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. Jankowski Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. I grew our services and trades. After relocating my family to Florida in 2004, I needed to begin anew and gain experience with a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to satisfy the 4-year experience requirement by Florida law before sitting for the state exam.

We established ourselves in 2005 as Volusia Gas and Welding and rebranded as Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I obtained my first state certification; Master Gas Installer License # LP803-27524. I earned my state plumbing license in 2010. I’ve been involved in the gas industry since 1983 and the plumbing industry since I was young enough to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I’ve been in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about 14 years now.

Well, I thought I didn't wish to deal with Plumbing anymore, so I signed up in the US Air Force prior to graduating in 1982 under the delayed enlistment program...my father was thrilled about the old man, I tell you. I hoped to travel the globe and continue the family tradition to serve our country. I completed my service overseas in England until I returned in 1986 and moved back stateside to Homestead, FL until 1989. I met my wife in the service, and we relocated to Upstate NY, where we made our home and raised our family. I started working for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas technician and installer. We enjoyed the years 1990 to 2004 in the most beautiful place in the Northeast. It got too cold, so we moved back to Florida. I always wanted to own my own business, so here we are. Locally owned and operated.
