It's not often I write a Yelp review. Only when I am REALLY pleased.
Had an absolutely astonishingly pleasant experience with Gary's plumbing. George was there, almost immediately, to help me wih an old, rusted-out water heater. Incredibly friendly, professional, resourceful, kind, and efficient! A gem! Thank you!

What a pleasure to deal with these guys. Ed did a fantastic job. So simple, on-time, got the sewer cleanout done right away, and didn't try to sell me a whole bunch of unnecessary services (like the other rooter companies do). Definitely will call these guys next time. I'm a convert!

Gave the job without getting a second estimate primarily based on these reviews on Yelp. Did a good job but it took two visits to completely resolve the problem which was a whether large job in cost both times. Would have expected some sort of price discount consideration being proactively offered given it was not fixed completely the 1st time and gave the job both times without a 2nd estimate. On the second visit really could not wait to get a 2nd estimate given the time involved and another work crew (installing moisture barrier) was waiting to complete their job that was halted when they identified the plumbing issue both times. After asking a small discount was given. The other work crew who were working under the house felt the cleanup was not very good as they needed to do more.

Updated: After talking with Gary the issue that was of concern was fully resolved & therefore changed to rating. Gary is an owner who cares about his business. Given the proactive follow-up by Gary along with him taking a personal interest in resolving the issue and the quality of the work was done was very good, adjusted the rating accordingly.

I can't remember a time when I had a service done more excellently and fast! I especially thank ED, the manager. He was first of all very prompt in responding and even though he was running late, he took the time to let me know and appeared on my door step as he promised. He is so efficient, fixed the problem right away, and most importantly, I even got him to do an extra thing - to change a light bulb - this is going over and beyond the call of duty - Also I like the company's name - ""guaranteed"" got my attention! Excellent! Thank you so much. I definitely will recommend to all my friends.

In scheduling the work and understanding the details of the job. George came and serviced my moms home with relative ease for a kitchen leak. George was very helpful and courteous. We did not hear about Gary's thru a referral, but this was one cold call that worked out in the end simply through yelp reviews.

I have Gary in my phone as ""Gary the Awesome Plumber"" He's fast, reliable, VERY reasonable too. He has done a number of jobs for us and we are thrilled. This was after we had tried another plumber who basically wanted 3x the amount for the same water heater install and was super pushy. Gary was cheerful, not at all pushy and had the job done in a day.

Extremely bad experience.

The city required us to replace a section of sewer. Gary came out and looked at the job. Gary said it was simple and he would use pipe bursting to replace the pipe from the house to the street. He would dig a small hole at the house carefully removing the plants and replacing them when the job was done. We agreed to dig the hole in the sidewalk.

Long story short I had to remove the front porch to accomodate the hole. So much for coming to the site. It was the helpers first day on the job. They could not read the video which was supplied or use a tape measure so they fused on 40 extra feet of 4"" tube and ran it through our yard.

When they tried to pull their machine sucked into the dirt and suddenly I had bad dirt and the problems became all mine. My brother (carpenter) and I assisted but we gave up that night and had no sewer.

The next morning my brother built a wall for the device and the pull was completed but not before my water main was broken. Again, this became my problem. Gary's answer was they didn't do this type work and we had to wait until morning. They were going to leave us without water but I developed a workaround using the hose.

All through this Gary came and went playing with his toys and acting important. He constantly wanted to review the bill and up the charges. While I understood they had some problems, THEY ARE THE PLUMBERS!! We finally finished and were glad to have them go away but not before I paid for additional time and work even though I had a fixed bid.

Avoid them for all but the simplest of work. Avoid Gary because he is all talk and sees himself as the master negotiator.

Great service. They came out an hour earlier than expected (they called to ask if it was OK), got right to work and cleared up our problem within a half hour, with a 6-month guarantee. Couldn't ask for more.

Gary's Plumbing is the best there is. I know that sounds crazy but these men have saved my a*$ every single time, at all hours of the day or night with the craziest plumbing situations imaginable. They do it quick, have the best men on their team, will advise (even to their detriment) on behalf of you, if you are their client (or not!) and are even willing to take a negative dollar value if something happens, just to make sure your needs are met. They literally are out for our interest, caring about serving their customers (us), understanding that things go wrong and know that in the whole scheme of things, it all comes out in the wash. From my experience with them, they care more about making sure the customers' needs get met, than that their pockets get filled. This is a huge deal to me! I have needed them many times with my old buildings and plumbing for a few years now and there is no question that they will come to me and fix everything like a Hero... A knight in shining armor! I am not kidding! They even try to cut the cost down as much as possible (especially if you're a regular client!)! This is a strange thing nowadays... but it's real. Thank you Gary's Plumbing! The men I have met, who have fixed very important plumbing issues are: Gary, Ed, George and Enriche (sp?), who are all amazing men who know what they do! Actually, they all know more than just plumbing! They have advised on and fixed many things involving houses and rentals for me. These men are handymen and know their S#tuff! When they haven't, they have given me references to people who can help me. I can't thank them enough for all they have done for me. I give them a FULL FIVE STARS without a single doubt. DO call them. I highly recommend them!

OK, it's odd to review someone who didn't actually work on your plumbing, but Gary quickly diagnosed the issue over the phone, assured me that West Bay Sanitary would take responsibility and probably fix it for free, and promised I wouldn't lose my place in his queue if they didn't.

Well, he was right, they did, and (while I hope I never need him -- ha, ha) he's now my go-to plumber.
