Nobody likes to call the plumber, but we have had a series of backups which made finding a good plumber necessary, and fast. The previous discount plumber we called, who came out 3.5 months ago, told me over the phone that their warranty was only 3 months, so I decided it was time to use Yelp to find someone better. Anthony temporarily fixed the problem, but advised us there was something more significantly wrong with our plumbing. A few days later, a camera boroscope revealed root intrusion about the size as the prize-winning watermelon at the Iowa state fair. Some additional digging found that somewhere in the past 50 years before we moved in, someone decided to seal a pipe connection with concrete. Over the years, the concrete, which is porous, allowed roots through it until our pipes buckles like you see crooked sidewalks. Ed & the crew fixed it up, and added a new cleanout to make future problems easier to deal with. These guys are responsive and trustworthy. And hopefully we won't have to see them again for a while.

Gary was remarkable, truly outstanding, I will never call a different plumber for as long as Gary stays in business. We had a very difficult and rare problem to diagnose. After the first visit by one of Gary's employees, it was believed there was a toilet ""air lock"" problem that was cleared by lifting up the bowl and putting it back down. However, there was still a problem with toilet leakage discovered later that night. The next day, Gary came out personally with his employee and they really worked hard in diagnosing the underlying problem, which related to a blockage way out underneath the front lawn, and they cleared the problem at no additional charge. He was very friendly and engaging and cordial, he always put on those clean booty things when going in and out of the house, explained everything as he went along, and laid out all of the possibilities for the future, including prices for services that might avoid those possibilities, at the same time without being pushy about providing those services. So in summary, in a single phrase, I think I would characterize Gary as the ""Nordstrom"" of Palo Alto plumbers.

Very Professional, turned into the job from hell, the cleanouts hadn't been out in 50 years and were cast iron. Anthony, our tech, had to drill it out and cut it with a Sawzall. Boy, am I glad I called a professional. Held to their quote (I'm not sure I would have) which was very reasonable. Highly recommend both Anthony and Gary.

Gary and his team helped me out of a bind. My sink backed up this a.m. and he was able to have someone out to take care of it within a couple hours of my call. They showed up when promised. They solved the problem quickly. They made sure everything was working before they left and they also offered a 6 month guarantee for services performed. I was pleased with their service and will use them again in the future.

I was in a bit of a jam on a Sunday afternoon- everytime we ran the washing machine it the drain backed up. We have a little one at the house, so laundry tends to pile up quickly and we had guests lined up for a visit. Gary answered the phone on Sunday evening and had a guy at the house within an hour. The serviceman was extremely courteous and as other reviews have mentioned, it was a service call and not a sales call. I highly recommend these guys. $150ish for drain service.

Maybe it's a simple job, clearing out my drain, but I'm so happy when something goes as expected. The guy shows up, friendly and easy going, no stress... sets up... clears the drain... cleans up.. and leaves. $170 later I have a working drain again. Maybe it's a bit steep, but whatever....

The only reason I'm only giving four stars is was a relatively simple job... but honestly, seems like a good business. If you need your drain cleared, check 'em out!
