These guys are the best! I called them on monday and they fit me in on wed afternoon. They were coming out to put new valves under my sink. Wed morn came and they called saying they will be coming in 15 min. They were very prompt and professional and very reasonably priced. Did the job in 20 min. I would definitely use these guys again and recommend them.

feel bad about writing about a following parishioner, reason I used Tom in the first place. Saw his ad in Queen of All Saints flyer so I thought he would be a good choice.
couple of years ago hired him for some pipe upgrade and new water heater. Later found out charge me more than other plumbers. Charged more than the estimate he gave me. OK, what is done is done. Fast forward to last summer with re cord rain and flooding. I could not for the life of me could not ignite my water heater. Call

Really? overpaid for water heater, simple task of 10 mins would have solved problem, We go to same parish, neighborhood. Next door neighbor's plumber came over within the hour, took a look, started it and did not charge me ANYTHING! Couple days ago, basement sink not draining, kitchen sink not draining, cannot use toilet, call Tom my fellow neighbor and parishiner, can you please fix? Sorry, really busy, can come out in 2 weeks. OMG!! previous customer, in the hood and 2 weeks can come out. Wow. Thanks!

I have been using Garrity for 22 years - having been referred to them by my grandmother! They are HONEST. Tom steers you away from expensive jobs you don't need. Totally responsive. I called with a broken hot water heater at 6:30 am; they were at my house by 7:30 to repair.

Tom will gouge you on the price. He will hand you a bill for $3k easily after just 2 hours of work without shame.. (2 faucets replaced, I provided the faucets, and a new cold knob on a shower for $3,000?!) Recent work has been shoddy or half done and then overpriced for the quality. He's a nice guy, sure he will smile and be just as sweet as he can be, while he charges you triple the price for the work. There are plenty of other plumbers willing to do good work for less.

I've used Garrity twice for difficult clogs. Both times they came on time (I chose an early morning time slot to make this more likely), worked quickly, and got the job done. I felt their price was reasonable compared to quotes from other plumbers. They were polite and cleaned up afterwards.

MISLEADING......came out to give me an estimate, had emphasized on the phone that they ""only"" charge $90/hour. I guess this IS cheap for a licensed plumber. However when he arrived he told me he would work with one other man (this is a simple installation of a faucet) so it would cost a total of $180 an hour for the two of them. I Asked why he would need the other man, he said to hold the faucet on top while he is tightening it on the bottom, and to run out to his truck to get things he finds he needs as the job progresses (remember, this is just installation of a faucet!) Yikes, the assistant sure isn't doing much highly skilled ""plumbering"" to earn $90/hour !. I asked if I could hold the faucet for him and he said ""no no I'm only insured when my people are working on the job"". When he left I watched him go back out to his truck and there was a young kid (maybe 19 or 20?) waiting for him. My guess is this was his assistant for whom he charges an extra $90/hour. Tom Garrity was a very nice man but I found it misleading to say he charges $90 an hour when he is really charging $180 an hour for the work. Also, beware: He does not charge for any units of time less than an hour so if he/they work for for 10 minutes over one hour you will be charged for TWO hours (for two men). He gets an extra star for being nice, but this plumber will cost you a lot more than you think.
