Needed to replace toilet and vanity/sink. After receiving some high quotes (like $500 just to install a toilet! That I already bought). I chose Garrity Plumbing. Was extremely glad I did. Larry showed up (on time) and in 1 hr 15 min he & his helper removed the old toilet and sink and installed the new ones. They even noticed a little backup in my tub when they were running the water to check seals and rodded my pipes (instead of waiting for a new service call). Very professional and honest. Want integrity and honesty when you need to call a plumber? Garrity is who to call. The crew, either led by Tom or by Larry, has been to my house (a 100 yr. old bungalow) several times for both installation work and for service work. Garrity Plumbing will always be our go to, and the company to whom we will refer friends. A family owned and operated business with genuine integrity. My house has had some issues with waste water drainage, and Garrity has done everything in their power to mitigate the expenses rather than seizing an opportunity to make money.

Surprise, surprise ... our pipes burst in the recent Arctic Unpleasantness. Larry Garrity came out, fixed the pipes, explained what he was doing and advised me on how to avoid it next time. Highly recommended! Garrity Plumbing fixed my kitchen sink in less than an hour: bad, old work was leaking and pipes were clogged. Tom Garrity replaced them and now the sink drains better than ever. A couple of years ago, I got a quote for this same work from one of the city's biggest plumbing outfits -- over $5,000, and they said they might have to tear up my newly installed granite countertops! So I put it off until yesterday, and went with GARRITY on a recommendation from neighbors.

They completely replumbed all the pipes beneath my kitchen sink, even opening up the wall in a bedroom closet behind the kitchen to get access. And they did all this work without turning off the water main for the other condo units. YES!

Now I can use my washer/dryer combo unit AND my dishwasher at the same time!!! Have not been able to do that since I moved in almost 20 years ago.

The closet looks like new -- they went out and bought a white panel for the interior closet wall, it is wonderful!

The cost? About $1,500!!! GREAT WORK, SWEET GUYS!

There are two Garrity plumbers on yelp. This is the good one imho.
We have used Garrity Plumbing for over 10years- following a referral from my Dad. We have used them for stopped drains and faucet installation.

They are great. Get things done, clean up and are in and out quickly.

One final thought....anyone that has tried plumbing on their own can testify that a 30 minute job may take 90 minutes; and that Chicago traffic can be as unpredictable as the weather. My point here is be a compassionate human and know that appointment times are tough to manage precisely in this field. Tom is great with appointments.
