Founded in 1980, Garick Air Conditioning Service was created by Gary Bulfinch and Rick Julian. Gary and Rick, both skilled journeymen technicians, brought together more than 20 years of expertise in heating and cooling. They aimed to offer exceptional heating and air conditioning services, including maintenance, repairs, and installations, to their neighbors in Sacramento. We are proud to say that this mission has been accomplished and continues to be upheld. Over the past two decades, Garick has evolved alongside our community. In 1980, Gary and his partner Rick Julian launched Garick (Gary & Rick) Air Conditioning Service. Their aim was to offer honest and professional heating and cooling maintenance, repairs, and installations to their Sacramento neighbors.

Garick is a great company! I used them for a new heating/air conditioning unit and new ductwork. I also needed new insulation in my attic, which they coordinated for me with another company. They were helpful in explaining technical things with me, friendly and professional! They even helped me out by letting my dogs out for potty breaks. Good people at a smaller company. I would highly recommend.

Clearly your ""records"" need an overhaul. The no show occurred on December 9th between 2:00-5:00 and I left a message that day before 5:00, the following Monday, and Wednesday. I emailed Gary at gary@garickac.com which is the emailed he has listed on your site on December 14th 2016 at 4:50pm. If I as a consumer have this good of records, I'd expect a business who ""values their customers"" to keep better.

The staff, service, and products at Garick are exceptional. Technicians showed up prepared and on time. The company receptionist, sales staff, and service representative were genuine, knowledgeable, and eager to answer my questions. They listened to me, explained technical concepts (my house needed a new furnace-air conditioning unit), and were friendly, polite, and understanding. The company has a variety of products.
I recommend Garick for any work having to do with appliances, heating and air conditioning units, or ventilation equipment.
I contacted 12 HVAC vendors and companies, interviewed and got eight written quotes, and chose Garick. Their staff worked at my house and one of the rentals I own here in Sacramento. Garick met all my criteria, and then some.

Good experience with Garick. I needed to replace a wall furnace, which not all HVAC businesses do anymore. They came in a little higher than some other estimates I received but it was worth it. I appreciated the pre-install visit; their system designer, Warren, came out to look at my old unit and set up before work started so I was assured that my current venting (my home was built in 1952) was up to code and what to expect for the installation. I'm pretty old school about having it all in writing before work starts. Turner was great about answering all my questions and coordinating the installation and was able to get me scheduled right before the holiday. Brandon and Steven did the installation in the early morning and were knowledgeable, professional, friendly and neat and were able to complete the job in under three hours. I would use Garick again.

Really... I've dealt with a number of A/C companies in Sacramento as I have rentals, and these guys are simply the best.
They are not the least expensive, nor are they the most expensive, but they are conscientious in their work habits, and they listen to their customer.
What more can you ask for?
They just completed an A/C system replacement at my home. They really ""Got"" that I wanted a quieter system and did everything possible to achieve that goal. Their work habits on the job site are extremely professional, and the quality of the work is outstanding.
Not wild about having to spend a lot of $$$ on A/C, but it sure feels a lot better when you can stand back and admire/enjoy the work that was done.

I wanted to share that I had great customer service from Garrick Air Conditioning Service. From my initial telephone call to the main office to the service from Chris Trull I was impressed. Chris provided an overview of the inspection service and offered options to resolve the needed repair. He was informative when explaining short and long-term care for my current system. Likewise, he was attentive in answering my many questions. I recognize we only call HVAC companies once or twice a year to help service our systems and with little consistency it's challenging to know whom to trust. All I can say is I had a great experience and will definitely be contacting them for future maintenance appointments in the coming to come. Thank you. Jenny Johnson

Most will call me crazy, I choose to say it was a sacrifice & a smart decision. I don't spend my hard earned money freely therefore I shopped many AC companies (7 in all) I had bids from a few thousand to several thousand. I am posting this to say that 9 weeks of no AC, through the heat of summer, was worth the wait!
GARICK HEAT & AIR spent the last 4 days working diligently, politely, neatly, thoroughly & actually going above & beyond that call of duty. EVERY detail down to EVERY louver on the vent registers throughout my home are aligned PERFECTLY so the air flow will work efficiently. They were not the cheapest bid, in fact they were the 2nd most expensive however worth it. The ONLY company to give me info for the tax credit I am eligible for :-) -- $$ back! When I decided they were the company I believed would do the best job they were booked out 3 weeks, Again, worth the wait. Sitting in 76 degrees & enjoying it :-) THANK YOU Warren, Kurtis, Stephen & Stephan!!

I didn't want to do this but I had to for all the potential customers out there. I'm a full time hard working mama trying to replace/repair my AC, I did my research and it said to get at least 3 bids for AC replacement. So I called 3-4 companies, Garick being one of them because of the good reviews here on yelp.
No issues at first--Pros: they were responsive, answered my call and called me back in a timely manner--was able to fit me in 2 days later-awesome!
Cons: the tech guy came out looked at it, did a decent job of diagnosing the problem but charged extra for looking at additional duct work etc. No problem, extra looking extra charge, paid it. He said it needed replacing--looks like a dog peeed on it damaged the system...oh ok i'm no the expert you are. So I called Garick back and asked for the quote/bid on what it would cost to replace it--mind you the other 2 companies I had called were able to send me an email right away of a quote. Got a call back from Warren he states he would need to come out again to look at it, ok confused you guys already looked at it (should know what system I have, how big my house was, where everything was located because the tech seemed to have done his job of diagnosing the problems). Sure no worries, you can come out and look at it again as long as I'm not being charged again-""Nope no charge but if you already have someone else giving you a lower quote go with them""--saying ""oh we are very popular and in demand and booked 3 weeks ahead already"" sure. No prob, put me in the books anyway but he didn't want to do it.
Warren was very rude, basically saying if someone already gave me a quote for $5,000 to go ahead and go with them. Mind you I haven't given him any numbers--so don't know where he came up with that number. He would only be able to give me a ""ballpark number"" over the phone after asking me some very generic questions--his ""ballpark number of 7500-8500"". To which i responded well one came in lower (not by much) but I wanted to compare apples to apples--hey maybe the one that came in lower was doing less things. Who knows right? I'm just trying to do my homework. But then it made me think, why would he give me a number of $5,000--is that how much it should cost? Anyways he was very short with me over the phone, talking down to me, and basically didn't want to help me because i had gotten two other quotes already. So if you want an additional quote, i would suggest lying and saying, ""Oh no Garick I haven't done my homework and you are the only company i've contacted."" Maybe he'll fit you in his busy schedule faster.

I will NEVER deal with Garick again because of the the way I was disrespected by Sherry in their office. We had an 8:00 appointment scheduled to fix our HVAC system that we had been waiting 8 days for. At 8:45 on the day of our appointment, no one had arrived or called so I called Garick to see what was going on. Sherry answered and when I told her who I was and asked why no one had arrived OR called us, she was extremely rude saying we were the 2nd job on the schedule for that day. I then asked her why we were scheduled for 8:00 if they didn't plan on being here at 8:00 and, again, VERY RUDE, just asked ""well, do you want to cancel""? I said no I did not then she almost shouted at me at said ""he will be there after his first call"". No apology, no courtesy call, NOTHING. When Brandon called to say he was on his way, he seemed very surprised that we had not been called because they gave him a call to put before ours that morning. Brandon did great work and was very polite but it is evident that Sherry has no clue what customer service is about and because of her, I warn anyone thinking of hiring Garick, to hire someone else who actually cares about their customers.

I can not say enough positive things about Garrick Heating and Air.I knew nothing about a HVAC system and Warren reviewed the entire process with me in terms I was able to understand. I called several times later and he answered all questions.Kurt and Johnny reviewed all of the steps with me as they went along. They were pleasant and unintrusive. Garrick did a great job, I would recommend them to anyone. Adrienne R.
