Recommended Customer Reviews

We have been very pleased Frymire! We have used them for both plumbing and heating/air conditioning services. Their representatives are knowledgeable and friendly, complete the job on time, and clean up after themselves. Most recently, Roy went above and beyond to help us select an appropriate furnace and ensure we got a good deal!

Technicians are very nice however, the company, scheduling, and customer service is extremely poor! I would not recommend this company at all! They had to come out 3 times for the same issue, and every time, the time frames are off or their is some sort of miscommunication or confusion on their part!

They showed up on time, but didn't really even try and solve the issue I was having. They were basically just salesmen. Using "car salesman" tactics like "let me call my boss and see what deal I could get you". I got a second opinion and instead of having to spend $1200 or $7000 for a new unit(way too much for my living area size) I spent 240 and had all issues taken care of

These guys will send you a "free" Ac tune up / Water heater service letter in the mail. If you call them for service they don't actually service anything, they will simply tell you your equipment is too old to service and instead buy an entire new system. It's a classic bait and switch with high pressure sales pitch to buy new equipment. I've had them out to my home twice. Once to replace the anode rod in my water heater, after the guy spend 5 minutes with his handheld socket wrench, he couldn't remove the old one and said that the screw was stripped and insisted the entire unit would need to be replaced. When I had them out for an AC tune-up they didn't clean the heat pump and left the leaves that were at the base of the unit there; they commented that the unit's failure was imminent and instead of servicing the unit I should replace the whole thing. Would not recommend these guys to do any repairs or servicing since they apparently don't have any knowledge of what they are doing.

They were suppose to come in and do maintenance on my unit. what they did was come in and try to sell me a new unit. Didn't change my filter, wash down my system or add Freon. Just listed all the reasons I need a new unit and wanted to call their supervisor to come out and give me a quote. My unit is working, my house is cool. I just wanted it serviced. This was a waste of a day off work.

DO NOT USE. Frymire came out to look at our AC that suddenly went out. He said we needed a complete new unit that would be $13,000 and that our other unit was about to go out and we needed that one replaced as well, for an additional $13,000. He said the unit was so old that they don't make parts for it anymore so our only option was total replacement. We decided to get a second opinion. The second company replaced a simple part for under $100 and now the AC works perfectly. Frymire is DISHONEST and SCAMMERS.

Our wine unit was on the blink. I called Frymire since they were the ones that originally installed. The repairman came and said we needed to totally replace unit and that there is only 1 supplier to get unit from. Estimated cost was $8,000.00. I did some research online and determined you can order parts. Called my AC guy and he was able to order fan & repair for less that $300. This is not the same Frymire originally in Dallas - new owner or name. Beware!!! They were smooth talkers and very convincing. Get a 2nd opinion!!!

This is my first yelp review. Do not do business with this company. I have two negative experiences with them:
1) They replaced my AC (new compressor and coil). They charged me for equipment that they did not install and work that they did not do. I called. I texted. I emailed. They will not respond to me and refund me for the equipment that was on the quote and was most certainly not installed. I cannot even get a final invoice from them. I have asked repeatedly. I also requested that they come back out and level the outdoor unit. They said they would do it over a month ago. They didn't.
2) I had one of their plumbers out after hours to clear a clog in the sewage line. The plumber either had horrible balance or had knocked back a few before he come to the house (it was in the evening). He said that he cleared the blockage and charged us over $600. It was clogged again a few days later, so I asked him to come back out. This time he said he "really cleared it" and charged us another $400 for doing the job correctly this time. I wasn't home at the time or I would have insisted that we not be charged again. I called and asked for a manager to review these two charges. I was told that I should not have been charged the second time, but I have not been refunded nor will anyone get back to me on the matter.

Update - here it is 11 mo later, and the upstairs unit is down at 10:00 at night. We find ourselves having no loyalty or even trust that they, if we call Frymire tomorrow, we'll be of any help? Or will we be charged again for something that has had issues far more that it shd? This just doesn't make sense for a Trane, but more importantly, where can we find a company to trust enough to use ongoing fir service?

Frymire Services tech on 6/14/18 recommended complete replacement of my 11 year old AC system and tried to pressure me into allowing them to start right away in order to get the discounted price they were offering me. I said I wanted to get a second opinion. He immediately said, "What price would we need to give you for us to start on this right away?"
I had another company check the system the next day. The tech diagnosed a weak capacitor, replaced it and cleaned the system for $349. The system is now operating fine.
I will never use Frymire again and now question the very expensive repairs Frymire recommended in prior years, including installing a defective coil which failed just outside the warranty period and I had to buy a new one.
Don't let them talk you into a new system. it sounds like they are recommending replacement of any system older than about 10 years.
