Extremely pleased with the service Ben gave. He doesn't do any major work himself, mainly just scoping, so he isn't trying to sell you anything. He was actually my second opinion after another company scoped my kitchen sewer line, said it was rotting cast iron and would have to do a $7200 plumbing job. Ben came out and found that it was ABS not cast iron, and there was no need to do major plumbing! We then scoped my entire house and sewer lateral explaining everything on a video for future reference. The other people weren't able to do that even though I asked.

Goes to show second opinions are key if you don't want to get fleeced. Now that I know about Sinks to Sewers, they will always be my first option.

I'm a local realtor and needed a sewer lateral inspection, I made the mistake of calling Affordable Plumbing Pros since they had the discount price of 150.00 for the inspection....well what a mistake that was. ( tried to save my clients a few bucks not worth it)
I expected a pretty clean video of the pipes , being that the sewer lateral from the house to the curb had all been re-done in the last 3 years.
Affordable Plumbing Pros sends out a guy named Scott, he sets up the camera and starts to view it ,runs the camera to the main line and shows me what looks to be sludge and some debris.
Tells me it won't pass as a clean lateral, but if they hydro-jet it for a cost of 500.00 which will include the sewer lateral DVD and all the city paper work ,he's 90% sure it will clean it up and show a clean video with no issues.
I call my clients and break the news that the plumber recommends flushing by way of Hydro-jetting to clear the pipes of debris and some root intrusion.
They agree and call in over the phone to pay the 500 with a credit card.
Scott then says, that another plumber will come back out in a couple hours to hydro-jet it, then he will come back and record the pipes for the city inspection once they are clear & Clean.

Another guy meets me at the home a few hours later, as he is hydro-jetting I asked if this could make the pipe burst or break them he said , no not likely..he runs the jets for about 20 minutes then runs a camera down the lateral and shows me an area that looks clean..he proceeds to say it's done and that Scott will be back out to record the sewer and make the video..
Scott doesn't make it back till the next morning , he sets up his camera ,and this time around he has a new guy with him he is training and a girl that just stayed in the truck.
he starts to view the lateral to make sure its all clear and then stops at the roots and say's wow , it didn't clean it all we may have to do it again, then starts to act like wow, now I'm seeing a leak , the pipe is broken..Now I'm trying to look at the video on this dark blurry little screen, he insist that he has to replace the whole sewer lateral from the curb out to the main in the middle of the street and it will cost 8,000 and only his company and 1 other have the right license to do this kind of work in town.. and that they are always the cheapest.
At that point i said, well this won't go over well with my clients..I told him to send me an estimate and I would talk with my clients..
I immediately called my clients and told them we will be getting a 2nd opinion for sure.

I got Ben's name from another agent who highly recommend him.
Sure enough Ben was there that afternoon and set up his camera ran the video , and gave me the great news that there was no leak or break anywhere that he could see, and that the roots could be dissolved with some liquid that you pour in the sewer line.
I couldn't believe it, felt as though the heavens sent me an angel ..sounds corny but 8,000 is a chunk of change, so Ben is now my go to Plumber for life..he was so nice and knowledgeable and kind and funny and patient...You are a top notch Professional, don't ever change Ben and you will forever be in business ! As for Affordable Plumbing Pros..to be continued..I will be filing a complaint and asking for my clients money back! NEVER again , they are crooks, read plenty of bad reviews on them ..shame , shame!

We had moved in to a new house only to find the kitchen plumbing needed some slight reworking. My husband attempted the simple project himself but ran into a hiccup. We called Ben on a Friday night at 6 and were expecting voicemail. Ben answered and walked my husband through what he needed to do after a quick diagnosis over a photo we texted. Long story short, his advice worked like a charm! Excellent service. Clearly very experienced. We will definitely call again for all future plumbing issues -- and hopefully for a project that actually compensates him! Highly recommend!

I spoke to Ben after unfortunately calling another larger ""franchise"" plumbing outfit. While I was unable to schedule Ben as his day was full he was a wealth of knowledge and input. He listened to me and helped me think through the issue more clearly and offered professional input. He was a great help to me regarding my blocked toilet. He perhaps even saved me some money as this other company was recommending quite an expensive solution when other, less costly ones may exist.

I will certainly use Ben in the future for service, just based on the helpful and professional manner he displayed over the phone.

Ben was a great guy. Talk about getting the job done, whew! I've been having my pluming snaked for what seemed to be years, it would work, then 3 months later, snaked again, it added up really quickly! A plumber friend of mine told me about Ben, I called him, he came out two days later, he was here on time, extremely professional, went right to work, found the problem within 25 minutes, I had a cracked pipe under my cement slab, now I know the truth.
With his water detector he was able to mark the areas, now all I have to do is call my insurance company and get things rolling. Ben even sent me a link to the video he shot with his camera so I can show my insurance company what he found! I would hire Ben (From Sinks to Sewers), in a minute!

Ben just finished doing a sewer lateral repair for me - great job! Ben is very knowledgable, clearly explained what was going on and the options I had for repair. He worked with me to keep the cost reasonable. Ben is also very well equipped with his mobile workshop van. He proceeded carefully and efficiently through the multi-stage patching process which clearly required special expertise and tools. He communicated well with the Ojai Sanitation Inspector on this job which required City certification. Use this company for Private Sewer Lateral inspections: Ben shows up on time, sends the paperwork when he says he will, files with the city in a timely manner.... all the things that a Realtor needs to make the sewer lateral report process go seemlessly. Ben even went the extra mile to send me repair quotes by line item from a client's physical inspection report and sent additional educational hand outs to assist me with a question I had. Great guy.
