During January 1958, Paul Friedman secured his Master Plumber license, gave notice to his employer and launched a new plumbing business. Friedman started with an operation in the home's basement and his wife as his sole assistant. Her responsibilities included answering phones and communicating messages to him. During five years, Paul expanded the service company by offering quality service at a fair price.

In 1963, he partnered with Raymond Simpson, a professional engineer with experience in water and waste treatment, to form the business known as Paul Friedman Inc.. Their aim was to diversify their offerings. They concluded to manage a complete plumbing operation that would perform both service jobs and residential plumbing.

Clearly, they found the right formula, because with over 45 years in operation, they have established themselves as one of the top plumbing firms in the region. Besides operating several service trucks stocked for a wide range of plumbing problems, they also have a remodeling division.
