I would not hire this company to do anything in my house again. Their office quoted me $129 to come and evaluate all the damage done by a large power surge. The electrician called on his way that he wouldn't come unless he got $299. I questioned why it was now more than double. He said it was now $299. I would have hired someone else. I had waited days for the company to send an electrician to come and another week would have been a problem. I should have cancelled. Mediocre evaluation. He said he couldn't check appliances or air conditioning which were my big concerns. He said he could only spend two hours. He spent less than that and changed the burned ceiling fan box (not really needed when examined) within that time. Then he gave me a bill for $399. I was not told of an additional $99 charge for the box, but would have paid for the part. I found this to be very upsetting. The manager would not correct this. Beware!

So this is a response to my earlier review. First off they responded to my review with """" call us, our customer service manager is here to help"""" Thats a joke! I already called and complained and they did Nothing. Second is that I posted a bad review on google and it was extremely altered by someone to reflect 5 stars. I found out when google posted that it had been altered. I'm the ex customer of 10 years. You wanted to charge $300 to tighten a bolt on the sink that you installed a few months earlier. The fact that my google review was changed and you have the nerve to ask me to reach out to you for help? I did reach out and you did Nothing! How about you treating me right the first time. Charge a fair price and don't charge me when you come back and fix your screwup.

I scheduled service for an outside electrical panel, they sent one new guy, who arrived late and has had a terrible attitude all day, he's been complaining about the job and how hard it is and has been making me feel like my job is a bother to him. I feel bad that he's one person on his own but I shouldn't feel bad for hiring the work. He's been here more than 8 hours and is still not done. I chose this company because they has good reviews. The job was expensive and this is what I get? Lots of damage to my ceiling, just a messy electrician, terrible attitude and no respect for the customer. I gave it 2 stars only because the guy hasn't left and didn't decide to just say to hell with it, which he's said a few times already but I don't know if I can ever trust this company again. Update: Changing to 1 Star. I was supposed to have someone call me about completing my job, the job has still not been completed and no one has called me about finishing the job, (They all know about the issues and """"logged"""" it. I am now w/o power to half my since since Wed 11/24. A """"manager"""" was supposed to call me on Monday 11/29 (since no one could take my call on the weekend when I asked about when were they planning on coming out to finish the job) I was told that they had """"nothing"""" on the schedule to come back out, are you kidding me? Before they came I HAD power to my WHOLE house, how do you not plan on coming back out and why does the customer have to call and harass to get someone to finish the job? I have not heard blip, I have called them and get a """"leave a message"""". I have reported them to the BBB. I sent them an email before I made my complaint as they asked to do before contacting the BBB, but it doesn't matter, they don't seem to respond to emails either. Shoddy work, terrible customer service, poor attitude and disrespectful. What was supposed to be a relatively small hole turned into this because the guy used to wrong wiring holder and pulled more roofing than necessary, I got all kinds of debris in my sink and down my drain which now I have to have a plumber come unclog for me.

I have used frank gay and recommended them to my clients for their fair pricing and quality of work. After two recent events I will not be using them or recommending them. First event involved the technician suggesting the proper way to unclog a drain involved a $300 video inspection. Not a big deal but I wouldn't want to recommend a company that professionally recommends unnecessary upsold items. This past week I was quoted $622 for a replacement toilet flange. The tech cited inflation, increased material cost and their reputation for the expense. And I quote """"you called us because we are the Mercedes Benz of plumbing."""" I found another company with better reviews to do the same job with the same materials for $300.

RUN don't walk away from this company. I made the mistake of purchasing a $20K air conditioner unit from them and since that point they have destroyed parts of my home, I have had to miss multiple days of work, and there seems to be no end insight. Our journey with them started when our AC stopped working a showed signs of a small leak. The tech told us that they would have to remove the upstairs handlers to determine what the best course of action would be but that process would cost several thousand dollars and might end with us needing a new system anyway due to its age. The tech suggested that we move forward with a new system and we agreed. The next day they began installing the new system. The system was installed and the left but then are real troubles began. It took about a day for us to notice that the house was not cooling. We called Frank Gay and they came out to look at the system (after telling us we would need to pay the ~$170 after hours cost). Keep in mind this was a day after purchasing the $20K system from them. Mind you that I also had to pick up their fast food trash and half eaten food from my driveway that they left behind after they installed the system. When the tech arrived he looked at the system and said that the installation was completely wrong. Told us that one air handler had a compressor that was not installed correctly and had become completely frozen. The other had issues with how the wires were installed and likely never worked. He told us he fixed the wires but would have to wait until the compressor thawed before it could be fixed. He had that unit shut off so it could thaw out and told us someone would be back the next day to fix it. Within a couple hours water began pouring out of light and ceiling in our downstairs laundry room. Frank Gay came out again and told us this was the water that came from the frozen compressor. They then had to cut a three foot whole in our ceiling to keep it from caving in. The next day new people showed, reported that the system was now fixed, and left. Again, within hours new and more water was coming from the hole in the ceiling. The water was now also spilling out into the upstairs room soaking the carpet. They forgot to clear out the drain pipes that were still frozen from their failed installation. Then comes the water restoration team. I have multiple fans in my home attempting to dry the various areas of water from their install. This now includes """"pulling back"""" my upstairs carpet which in doing so has two 5 foot rips. Sadly, it doesn't end here. The system with the compressor issue is no longer turning on. So Frank Gay to the rescue. It appears that the fan module is bad, or so they say. So they bring out a new person the next day to replace the fan module and the fan motor of the one unit. Problem solved, right? No. Later that night it was very cold in our home. As I checked our thermostats the temperature read low 60s and yet all thermostats were set to mid 70s. The system was still running. Out comes Frank Gay again. This time we find that the install included faulty wiring to which they addressed. After the multiple days of work, excessing and impressive new ways to fail, I am happy to report that the BRAND NEW $20,000 units appear to be in working order. I just have to deal with the devastation left in their wake which includes a 3' x 3' whole in my laundry room ceiling, a 6' x 2'x whole in the drywall under the air handlers, a 6' x 6' piece of missing padding under my upstairs carpet, two 5' rips in my carpet, and half a dozen commercial air fans. All of this brings us to today nearly a week and a half after the carpet and wood has finally dried. Frank Gay is back and attempting to correct the situation. They have sent a guy to do the drywall but apparently told him to also do the painting and carpet. How is to do the painting and carpet? Here we go again. His managers told him to take a piece of the drywall to Home Depot and have them match it and then just paint then new patch. For the carpet? The no longer stretched but now actually torn carpet? He is to buy a 5' x 5' carpet pad and a new tack strip, nail the tack strip down, put the pad down and then fold the carpet back over. No concern for the fact that the carpet now has waves in it from not being stretched or that there are two stirps from where the tears in the carpet are due to the water restoration services. PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT RISK YOUR HOME, YOUR TIME, YOUR MONEY, YOUR JOB BY USING THIS COMPANY.

They are just interested in selling financing on a brand new system. They quoted me an astronomical price for an AC fan motor, saying that was the best price they could get on the OEM part. I went to Air and Aero for a quote of the same part, and they installed a replacement for half the price.. a difference of $800. I tried many, many times to reach customer service with no response.

No Stars - Do not use Frank Gay. I paid 16k for a high-efficiency AC system and since day one, day one we had trouble that has continued for almost 2 years with no resolution. On the installation day, 4 amateurs showed up and took 5 days to install what I was told would be a 2-day install. They had nothing but trouble installing the system and couldn't get it to run. Finally, after a tech arrived to help the installers they got it running. My electric bill doubled after the install and my bedroom never got cold. Every month something has broken and every time a tech comes he comments on how crappy an installation it was, fan has been replaced twice because it was installed backward, flooded my house because the drain was incorrectly installed. I have had a breakdown EVERY MONTH, one stupid thing after another and never my fault. I challenge Frank Gay to deny it. I should have been approached by management and offered a new air handler by now, I have been patient to a fault. These guys do not CARE about the customer. If you want to be taken care of and treated with respect this is the wrong company to use - they absolutely suck!

Prepare to pay Frank Gay to assess your job for a $39.00 fee. Sized up our disposal R&R with a cheap unit and handed the spouse an estimate / bill for + -$650.00 ! I get the call and promptly send him on his way. You got to be kidding!!! $118 later with a Lowes unit, I get under the sink and complete the job in less than 40 mins. I get home to review the bill left for us to approve and I see they added a maintenance plan for $200 + a $40 membership fee. WTF are they thinking?? Unsolicited add-perk, and not explained / disclosed. I call Sarah (since she has been responding to their Yelp reviews.) and explaine why they didn't get $650 for their estimate. Both the tech and Sarah said he was a new employee and that was most of the problem. Sarah refunded their trip charge for the estimate. THANK YOU SARAH The fact Sarah responds to their reviews and refunded the trip charge got them a 4 stars. I believe they will work with me so both sides are happy if hired in the future and hit a rough spot.

After horrible experiences with 2 other companies, I had Frank Gay come out to inspect my leaking drain pan. He was on time, the person who came out to look and see what was wrong was honest and upfront about the issue and why the previous fix by another company didn't work. He was able to provide me a quote for a new system so we didn't have a high pressure salesmen appointment, and they replaced it NEXT DAY! The technician was nice and professional. The electrical work was completed timely by their electrician. The price was reasonable and when he said this is the price out the door it was. No hidden things or gotcha moments when they found something else to upcharge you and you had no choice Thank you! You just earned my business and the business of our rental properties as well. Hopefully things will continue on this way and we will have a long mutually beneficial relationship!

Your plumber was very professional and explained the issue with the water back up in my kitchen sink. But your price to fix the issue was just CRAZY. You charge $700 to snake a drain. The average cost for this is $150 - 350 Max. I hope the up change brings you much luck.
