Recommended Customer Reviews

They are super shady! Unqualified techs and poor customer service. Use Pro Tech you will be much happier.

Honestly? Don't bother. We hired them for a valve replacement under our sink and to get an electrical outlet put in for our new dishwasher. The valve replacement went well. The electrician showed up and told us it was an easy job but he really didn't even think we needed it done, that he had never heard of a dishwasher needing an outlet to be installed. We told him to do it anyway. After a little while he told us he was done, we paid, and he left, this was oround June 21st. On June 26th our dishwasher was delivered (by home depot), but they couldn't install it because there was no power in the outlet that Ramone had installed. The instillation men even lifted the dishwasher and plugged it into another outlet, where it worked just fine, to show us it was definitely the outlet. We called Frank Gay right away and they sent an electrician out right away, he was at our house within an hour. He spent a few hours here, most of the time saying """"I don't know what's wrong"""". A little while before 5 PM he says """"oh, it could be voltage loss and I don't have time to fix it today. I'll have the office call you to schedule another appointment to fix it."""" We asked if we would be charged and he said """"I'm not in charge of payments, but I doubt it. The job wasn't completed the first time. If they do charge it will probably only be the difference in the price of services. They'll call you within 24 hours."""" We never received a call so my husband sent an email. When that went unanswered he called again. That time he was told """"The lady that handles that kind of stuff isn't here, we'll have her call you when she gets back. Here it is 7/17 and we still hadn't received a call back so we called again. The woman (maybe Audrey?) said she hadn't been told anything about our situation and she was going to call both electricians to find out what happened, then she'd call back. Well, she called back and said she spoke to them and they'll come back out and fix it, but we would be charged full price because they already did the job, and flat our refused to give us a refund. Now, my husband and I do fully accept that we should have made Ramone show us that it worked before he left, we're aware that we messed up there. However, it was never proven that the outlet worked in the first place and I feel like they're just trying to cover their butts. I do NOT recommend and if I could give 0 stars I would. Save the hassle and go with another company from the beginning.

Called on a Saturday as air handler was short cycling. Replaced a part and cleaned lines and charged 491. Week later unit is doing the same thing. They come out again and tell me the unit is too big for the house and I need a new ac for 12k. Told the tech he was high and to have a nice day. Had my regular ac tech come out and told me thermostat was bad and blower motor was shot. Frank Gay tech never tested volts on thermostat or looked at the blower motor. Blower motor and all parts were still under warranty and cost me 500 dollars to fix. These guys are a rip off and would only call them if you are in dire straits.

The technician came out to diagnose my air conditioning unit because it was leaking. He claimed the coils needed to be cleaned and it would cost $1600 to clean. I told him that I could replace the unit for that amount! He claimed I did not pay for the diagnostic of $129.00, however I told him that their policy was to pay in advance for after hours! Anyhow, the job is actually a $200-400 job! Warning!!!! Do not allow them to rip you off. I will never use this company in the future.

These guys are crooks. The guy came over, didn't know how to fix my leaky faucet, now they won't me to pay $80 for nothing. I called better plumber he fixed it in 30 minutes and charged me $100 for everything.

Frank Gay Services is a horrible company that steals from their customers. We couldn't shut the water off in our shower, so my husband called Frank Gay Services to come out and fix the problem. They quoted him $466 over the phone and because my husband was at work, he trusted the technician and agreed to the price. I got home and there seemed to be nothing done so I had my husband send me the bill and it is not itemized. That is a big red flag that someone is trying to rip you off, so I called and of course, someone always has to call you back. After a couple of days, they sent another copy of the bill with pictures with one being a picture of the part they replaced. I looked it up at Lowes and Home Depot and I could have bought the part for $50, and they charged me over $200 for it. When I complained, they said it included the cost for them to come out to the house (I am 5 minutes from their office) but they also charged me almost $200 for labor which I am sure also included the same cost because the technician spent less than an hour repairing the handle.

Being in the commercial const industry, I am more a get to the point. The service man was in no way faulted, it was just a different client. By talking to a Tech, I a have decided to go another route. Thank you for having someone call back. Everyone has to start somewhere

I actually have used your company 3x in the last year with no problems. My husband called you all after you over charged us and was told someone would call back and no one did. I then went to my credit card company to dispute it and because I didn't have a written quote they sided with you. You still over charged me for the service. Charged me for a garbage disposal and installation but I provided the disposal!!!!!!! And you still charged me $229....so, i am not lying about my experience with you. I feel you ripped me off by charging something other than what was quoted by phone to install the disposal I PROVIDED.

I hired Frank Gay due to not having much A/C experience and knowing which company would be the most competent. Well it is for sure not Frank Gay. I own a mini split A/C unit for my house, and I had FG move the copper line from inside a wall, to the outside due to the previous owner having it installed inside. Shoold have been a simple procedure for them. Following them moving the line, they state that it was all functioning properly, fully charged, and refilled. I expressed that it didn't seem to be blowing properly, but they told me it takes time to warm up again with being refilled. A few days go by and I can noticeably tell that it is still not functioning properly and I am sweating when I'm trying to sleep. I end up asking for a mini split expert from them, and he came out for no more than 5 minutes, and said it is running properly. I wanted him to check seeing as the work was done so recently and it to be covered, instead of waiting too long. A cold front goes by over the next few days and my heat on the unit doesn't work whatsoever. I had to wear a sweatshirt and sweatpants all day in my house due to the unit not working properly, as it did prior to thier work. I had the same mini split """"expert"""" come back out to evaluate my unit, due to it not functioning at all, and he told me a frog fried my units motherboard, and it's $750 to replace it or $11k for a whole new system. He stated he'd find a board and contact me. It's been about a week and I still have not heard from him. The frog was not the issue at all, which I later learned from a second opinion. I had a second opinion from Coastal Cooling Solutions, who was recommended by a friend, and they were exceptionally knowledgeable. They diagnosed that there was a leak in my line, no Freon at all, and because it went without Freon for so long, it burnt up my compressor. So not only did they state my unit was functioning improperly for weeks, but I also paid for expensive Freon to be placed in my unit while it all escaped from a leak, and damaged my A/C unit beyond repair. The compressor is not able to be found for replacement and I'm now having to replace my whole Unit and split heads. If this leak was caught following the work they did the first time, by properly testing the system, I would still have a functioning unit and not have to spend thousands to replace it. Do not trust FG to do any work AT ALL on your house because it will end up costing you thousands in the long run. I also have a dog in the house with me, and I worry that he will overheat if the house gets too hot or freeze if the house is too cold for too long. If I'm feeling it. I know he is feeling it. Im currently waiting for management to contact me about this issue, and I'm hoping they take proper accountability to stand behind the work of thier employees on the property and belongings of others.

Extremely hot day in Kissimmee last week and my AC was blowing hot air. Reached out to my warranty company Wednesday night for the repair but the contractor assigned to me was not able to come until Saturday. Out of desperation I reached out to Frank Gay services and they came Thursday morning. Unfortunately, they looked and poked around but only offered me a new unit or a very expensive repair. No attempt at all to help alleviate the immediate need. I was left $89 lighter and still hot as hell. Ended up booking a hotel because 2 out of us 4 have asthma and I have a couple of small dogs that were panting the whole time. Fast forward to Saturday and the company assigned to us saved the day. Quickly got to work in addressing my main concern and then we spoke about what to do going forward in my now cool living room. Very grateful for having American Home Shield and Beaches Air Conditioning and Heating in my corner. Great save.
