Company Overview
FPL Home Services provides licensed and protected experts who can put in place, fix and maintain air conditioning units, pipe systems and electrical systems. They also provide protection plans for all services.
Established in the early 80s as a local service, but now known as FPL Home Services. Every job is backed to meet relevant safety and building codes. Their operating territory includes Lee, Sarasota, St. Lucie County, Martin County, Palm Beach County, Broward, and Miami-Dade County, supporting a collective seventy thousand people. The company is fully licensed, bonded and safeguarded. Our licenses CFC1430331, CAC 1820030 and EC13007891.
Our primary focus each day is ensuring a great customer experience and assisting all day-to-day operations within the organization.

Total scam. Called last night about leaking water heater. Couldnt schedule an appointment """"well most likely call you tomorrow """". So I sit around until noon. Call them """"the technician should be there between 3:30 and 5:30"""". Should??? And that famous """"1hour guarantee """"? There isnt one. """"It's from the time the technician calls you"""" not when they call to set the appointment. And why a two hour window then? """"So we can get there in time because, you know, COVID"""". Really? Bullshit. Having this service done, then switching to American Home Shield. Friends have them and not any problems. I bought into the FPL brand promise. All this is is some crappy home warranty company with crappy service and FPL's name on it. Won't last long. As far as I can tell this is just a scam. One hour """"anything"""" my ass.

I've lived in my home for two years now so have had occasion to call other plumbers, whose rates I assumed were comparable to Jupiter-Tequesta--they are NOT. Jupiter-Tequesta's rates are far less than others I've used and the service is as good or better. I'll stick with them in the future.

Stay away - scam company!!! Bought $5000 AC with 10 year warranty parts and labor. Nothing but issues since, also failed inspection and failed to close out permit from 3 years ago. Every time there was an issue, they said i need to pay $89 for them to come out, even if I have warranty. So they sold me a maintenance contract so i wont have to pay the truck rolls, so today the AC broke yet again, there is a hole in the coil (3 year old unit BTW), and they said they need $249 for processing fee. So again i have Free parts, free labor, free truck rolls, so whats a $249 processing fee? Avoid at all cost!!!

9 days to get common dryer parts and get repaired. Amazon and another company had the same exact parts available overnight. You need to make an appointment to speak with a supervisor. Which I had to do multiple times to get my repairs made.

High prices and jobs not done right. A few years ago they sold be a Nest thermostat but installed it wrong Last February the sold me a new AC unit and the install failed the city inspection. They came out to fix the issues and found several bigger problems. In January the plumbers came in the clear a clogged kitchen drain. After 2 hours they decided the insinkerator was bad and sold me a new one. $650 and the problem still wasn't fixed. The plumber said he didn't know what was wrong

I had found this company in the best picks reports guide. Had an A/C company come check out an issue of home air condition not working. The company found that a/c unit did not have enough voltage to have it work properly. Called and told FPL home services this. Tech shows up the next day for a free estimate for replacing the AC WHAT??? never mentioned that. He re-dispatched an electrician as requested. Also called the offic asking for a manager or supervisor to discuss the issues. Was told Maggie would call back in 5 min, she was just finishing up a phone call. Have not heard back from the company. I don't like my time wasted, and I would think the company would want to waste not only my time but their own technicians. Actions speak louder than words, and neither are even close to stellar ... or even acceptable. I personally would not recommend this company based on how they handled this transaction!!! but everyone can make up their own mind independant of my review and lack of customer service

Buyer beware! Started with a service call on November 18th, 2020 for my a 8 yr old Rheem HVAC unit. On November 20th, 2020 ended up purchasing a unit that was supposed to be a very quiet HVAC to replace my Rheem. I requested a very quiet unit, Amongst many things that are wrong, some of my issues are the units were supposed to be Carrier. The techs installed a very, very noisy Bryant handler (as mentioned by the tech is now merged with Carrier) inside the house and an even noisier unit outside with a removable plastic tag saying it is a Carrier brand unit. The outside condenser sounds like a noisy truck idling or a helicopter about to depart the heliport. These units must be the least expensive units but yet the cost was approximately $8000. Workmanship left a lot to be desired. I am still waiting for an itemized bill of what I paid for. The tech even labeled the handler in black marker which i am still puzzled to say the least as to why they placed graffiti on my unit. This handler unit is visible every time i enter my laundry room. Lousy plaster job, lose wires hanging precariously on the side, etc, etc. I have sent emails with pictures to Russell, the sales technician and have spoken to customer service regarding the itemized bill and regarding my issues and concerns. Was told by Russell via email that he was forwarding to his manager, Customer Service stated my concerns are noted on file but yet no call back, Unacceptable for this company that runs on the FPL logo and fame albeit unregulated.

Actually Zero Stars.. In July I ordered 4 filters from them. It's October & I still don't have my filters. Last week I got a call telling me my filter were in, I made an appointment, I wasn't home, my son was. When I came home from work, there were no filters. So I called. I was told the tech left them, he did not leave them, I have made several calls to get this resolved, every time I call I get an apology, & then they actually go further & lie to me. A different story every time I call. They promise to return my call to get this resolved. No phone calls, no resolution. 1st they said they were delivered, then they said they had to check with the manufacturer, then they said they received the wrong filters & again they are sorry. So I still don't have my filters, but you can be sure they have had my money since July. Nothing but lies. Beware of this company, the customer service is horrendous. They don't return phone calls, I've called day after day after day, still the same apology but still no filters. BAD Customer service. 10/20: no filters, no refund & no return phone calls.

Total frustration and lack of accountability with FPL services. Purchased an expensive AC recommended and installed by FPL. Not quite a lemon but definitely a lime and worse yet they have not stood by their services. AC went out last Thursday (so five days) thermostat issues. Tech was supposed to get new thermo and install Thursday pm, never showed up. Same story Friday but we had him return to at least get the ac to hard start so we had some air. This time he fried a computer board by crossing wires! Basically, left the house saying call a manager and that FPL cannot continue to come and repair as they are not making any money! What the heck we pay $500 a year to be a platinum customer to ensure this doesn't happen. Fast forward five days of sleeping on the floor for some cool space and their customer service cannot give us a date on when parts will be installed worse yet they have not stood by their work and the pledge all of which we have paid for, listen too and trusted as experts. Poor service in every regard which is tough to say as the customer service folks are really nice.

Our initial AC service was performed by Dwight. Very respectful and did a detailed service. We learned a lot about our 2 year old unit. FPL does a great job with social distancing and technicians wear a mask and booties while on your property. Will continue to use with this type of service.
