I made a service call for replacing water pressure relief valve for the water heater. The technician came in three hours to check for two minutes, then turned off the water heater and """"recommended """" us scheduling to replace whole tank which will be costed 3k in next week. When he's told that we couldn't decide it immediately, he fiercely left after charged us $190 after we bargained from$265 for his diagnosis. He refused to replace the relief valve for we tried to earn couple days to consider it . He left us without hot water, so we have to call another company , spent us another $165 to fix the relief valve finally. And we are glad scheduling tank replacement for May with them. But No Four Star! No More Four Star ! Snobby

Took advantage of a bad situation! Arrived at Vacation home with Family at 9PM on Dec 28 to find a broken Main PVC pipe spraying water when I turned the water back on. We were desperate to get it fixed as we had our 3 older kids with us getting ready to celebrate the New Year in Myrtle Beach. We called 4 Star plumbing on a suggestion from our HOA. I knew it was a weekend, at night and close to a holiday, so I expected to be charged extra. On the phone they told me an extra 150$ due to an after hours call. One plumber showed up in about 30 minutes. The pipe was exposed - simple to get to, etc. Quoted me over 500$ to repair. He knew we were desperate to get water and had no other choice was my feeling. We paid the $, and it literally took him less than 10 minutes to repair (For 500$!). He did a good job, but I still feel 4 Star Plumbing way overcharged because they knew we had no other choice. Will be looking elsewhere for more integrity from a local business.

Four Star has done a great deal of work for Eagle Crest Retirement community. Because of this my husband, who is the General Manager, recommended them when we seemed to have a condensation leak in our HVAC unit at home. Robbie was sent the same day and diagnosed blockage in the condensation pump. Even though he suggested replacing the pump, he cleaned the p trap and tubing and it started to function properly right away! He even showed me how to do it myself to hopefully prevent this same problem from reoccurring. He also took the time to assess the entire unit for any other potential issues. Robbie was very knowledgeable and saved us a considerable amount of money, for now at least.... but we know who to call when the need arises again! Lee R

I walked into my condo after being away for a month. Not only did I find my kitchen/living room paneling buckling, but a leak in my bathroom causing a huge mold problem. FSP came to my rescue. Not only did they find the leak, but did all the mold cleaning that was needed throughout my condo. I could not have asked for better customer service - from taking COVID precautions to taking care of all the issues that kept creeping up. It was a nightmare that I did not think would end. BUT the crews and Daryl Graham were fabulous, professional and courteous. Thanks to a great team that took care of my problems. They are the team to go to and will be the next one I call if needed.

I had a 3""""- per day pool leak that you """"fixed"""" for me about a year ago by Four Star Plumbing and about six months later the water loss started again at about the same rate, 3"""" per day. I thought about asking them to come back, but someone else was recommended and I'm glad I didn't call Four Star. I brought in someone else to look for the problem and it turns out the """"new"""" leak was at the same place and with the same lines Four Star """"fixed"""" before. After removing the concrete decking, the new company showed me how fittings were attached improperly and had been caulked to prevent leaking as opposed to using proper threaded connections. The water line fitting that penetrates the pool side wall was caulked instead of threaded--no threading whatsoever--simply pushed in place and caulked. Even the wrong size fitting was installed. Again, it was simply pushed in place and caulked instead of being threaded! At this fitting, the caulking had to be stripped out of the threaded female connection before it could even be pressure tested. All of these issues were pointed out to me before I told them """"who"""" fixed it before. I work with contractors frequently and know shoddy work when I see it. I'm also very familiar with tradesmen blaming someone else for poor work. In this case, I wish I'd made a video. The work was """"that"""" bad. Other than the approximately $1,500 I spent on Four Stsr's work, the worst part is that everything that was wrong with the connections was simply laziness and/or lack of knowledge. The decking was open, the fittings needed replacing and it would have only taken a little extra time to get the right parts and to do a proper job. This would have prevented me having to have another company correct Four Star's work at an additional expense.

IT APPEARS THEY HAVE SEVERAL LISTINGS ALL SAME ADDRESS and COMPANY. Read my longer review under the other listing. This is an UPDATE ONLY to previous full review but it went over the space Another contractor and myself looked at the pictures were taken: cannot post due to legal action being filed against this company can say colors and letters tend to go together R&R, G&G etc... Red and Green even if color blind can hook up. Also putting in the electrical disconnect helps. The other company sent a gentleman that is authorized distributor, he flushed the refrigerant lines, installed the correct refrigerant & oil. Wrote an affadavit, along with the service call fee and State Mandated Recovery Fee $37.00. Lawsuit was filed yesterday afternoon. The factory is attempting to find out how a unit that was shipped to another company years ago ended up with them, as they were not authorized even before the name change. How an allegedly """"licensed HVAC contractor"""" had installed the wrong refrigerant in a pre-charged unit. It appears to the other contractors the unit was used, had been repainted and """"partially refurbished"""" All that's to come out in court. 3 Weeks of improper work & no contact all to improper installation. As an impartial company and authorized distributor, and a different factory rep all have stated.

Called FSP to repair a leak under sink prior to my son s wedding. Technician repair the leaking joint at the sub floor and put new cut off valves. Old valves were find. One the leak was corrected and technicians left I found the hot and cold water lines reversed. One bill was received I was floored. The invoice was totally over invoiced. I talked with plumbing service manager and he corrected immediately. He said he would send a technician out to swap the lines. I gave three stars due the quick service and professional attitude of the technicians and the quick response to correcting the invoice. I also got a quote to change out all the old piping on my older home. The quote was over 3500. I have had two other companies bid the job and its just over 1k. Two bath rooms and mud room. Service manager is to review the estimate and advise. Waiting!

Appointment made with office was easy to book, communicative & reliable as far as making / keeping a service appointment. Tech Justin B. was extremely thorough, communicating by phone multiple times due to me being an out-of-state owner including forwarding multiple pictures. Something simple as properly following access directions and numbers to call, though a small thing, isn't itself even guaranteed today by a lot of contractors. Not all HVAC companies are created equal - and reliable contractors in any trade are tough if not impossible to find today - even being able to talk to someone live is a tall order. Highly recommend Four Star based on this visit hitting all those bases.

On Friday at approximately 4:30pm, my husband noticed we had no hot water. A quick look in the water heater closet revealed the trouble. Thank God we were home because this could have been bad. Being new to the area, and not knowing who to call, I called a friend for a referral. Her referral was too busy to help and gave me the referral for Four Star. It's not about 4:45pm and I call. A pleasant and cheerful female voice (Brianna, I think was her name) answers the phone, """"Four Start Plumbing and Air Conditioning, How can I make you smile today?"""" I replied, """"You could really make me smile if you can help me with this water heater."""" I proceeded to tell her the problem and she relayed the issue to her supervisor. He came on the line and asked a few questions and we texted him some photos of the unit and the problem. He said he'd send a technician right over. Then Garrett calls and says he's on his way! It's after 5 on a Friday and we were facing a weekend of no hot water and company was expected the next morning! So Garrett shows up quickly and makes sure the breaker is off and we're safe. After discussing our options, he locates the unit we'll need and promises to be back first thing in the morning. Long story short, he's back with help by 8:30am on Saturday morning and by 1:00pm, we have hot water from a brand new hot water heater. Everyone we encountered in our experience with Four Star was professional and helpful and we couldn't be more pleased with the level of service we received! Thank you!!!
