Company Overview

Since 1973, Fletcher's Plumbing & Contracting, Inc. has been the go-to plumbing, remodeling, and water treatment expert in Northern California. Our skilled plumbers possess the expertise and tools to complete the task effectively—day or night. Our emergency plumbing services are at your disposal 24/7.

In 1973, Rod Fletcher established Fletcher's Plumbing. In 1987, his sons, Carl and Adam, became part of the business. The first office located on Second Street in Yuba City included a plumbing showroom and later branched into remodeling kitchens and bathrooms. Fletcher's Plumbing also acquired the California State license classifications for C-36 (Plumbing), B (General Contractor), and A (Underground Engineer) during this growth. Rod Fletcher emphasized that exceptional service and quality workmanship were the foundation of the company until his passing in 2008. He valued staying current with the latest technology and tools in the plumbing field, investing in his business and the local community. Today, honoring Rod's legacy, Fletcher's Plumbing & Contracting, Inc. has expanded to larger locations at 219 Burns Drive in Yuba City and a second site in Chico at 1905 Nord Avenue.

Save yourself the trouble. If you call a company and they tell you they'll send up a ""technician"" to tell you if they can do a job or not. That's the first red flag. Secondly, when they're not sure if they've ever installed a jet pump before (especially when they're just replacing one that there), why would you think a customer would be interested in using your services if you can't even tell them that you know what a jet pump is? Although the gal on the phone was nice, I think a technician should have been able to say ""yes or no"" on their ability to do the job. I would stay away from a company like this.

Fletcher's Plumbing charges a $30 show up fee then quotes an outrageous price for service and repairs. I will never call this company as they charge way too much! I don't feel that they are honest with their pricing.

I apologize in advance, this is going to be a long review.

Please allow me to start by saying that I don't work for Fletchers Plumbing or own any part of it.

My wife and I have utilized the services of Fletchers plumbing on four (4) separate occasions and our expectations have been exceeded each and every time. We have worked with at least six (6) employees and the have all displayed the following attributes: they show up on time, are very friendly, provide us with a reasonable estimate, complete the work in a timely manner, clean up after the work, and never need to be called back to fix any problems (that they worked on). I need to stress that this is our experience with each employee.

They have completed the following projects at my house: installed a gas log lighter in our fireplace, remodeled our master bathroom, installed our whole house fan, and finally installed a 20 amp receptacle in our garage.

What sets them apart from other contractors is the fact that they show up, not just for the estimate (always delivered in a very timely manner), they complete the work.

When we have a project completed at our house we always get competing bids. Every estimate from Fletchers has been in line with other contractors in the area. The difference is that they haven't exceeded any of the estimates provided to us. They have routinely provided us with work exceeding the original estimate without additional charges. Yes, you can find cheaper contractors in the area (and we have used some in the past), but you don't get quality.

There is a reason they have the ""Gold Standard"" reputation in this area. They have earned it.

We will be customers for a VERY long time.

Called Fletcher's Plumbing for just basic prices on Tankless and with tank. Wouldn't give any prices without a $29.50 inspection of the location where it was going to go. They acted like they didn't want my business. Won't call them again.

I had a broken toilet and a house full of guests coming over. They had someone over within the hour and got it fixed. So thankful, will use them again!

Bad, Bad, Bad ... need I say more. get anyone else to do your work. they bill based on a ""book"" charge. this charge is to cover the work from start to finish. well the book rate is high...very high... then they dont finish the work. when you call to complain the ""customer service manager"" tells you in a very nice way to finish it yourself. they never return your calls or messages after that. I would hire anyone before I would hire them again.

If you have a plumbing issue. ..don't call Fletchers, call Thrifty Rooter instead. Fletchers automatically charges $150 just for coming out during an after duty emergency call. How is that fair? How is it fair to charge a potential customer for not doing any work? The technician made it sound as if the job was going to be so hard and cost so much money. Military discount? A paltry 5%. Next day, I called Thrifty. They came down, fixed the problem...the cost? 250 bucks....and they actually did something to EARN it! I do not recommend this company at all.

Be very careful when dealing with this firm. I just had a Kohler flush valve replaced by this company. I should have done some checking. The valve sells for $5.98. at home depot. It also took him 10 minutes.to replace. They charged me $144.50 for labor and the part.
BE VERY CAREFUL!!!

Shoddy work that created safety issues, was treated very rudely after I had PG&E call them out to repair the situation. If you value your home and family STAY AWAY!

On October 1st I called Fletchers Plumbing to come out and fix a leak at a rental house. They came out made a hole in the wall made a low quality fix and left. One month later our renters call us to let us know that the leak was back. We called Fletchers to let them know and they wanted a credit card before going to check on the leak. I told them that when they first came out I made a quick payment within 24 hours of the repair. The receptionist didn't care, we asked for the owner and he didn't care as well. They would not check on their faulty repair unless I gave them a credit card. I am really disappointed with their service and now I have to pay someone else to fix the same problem. I would understand if we delayed payment but we paid within 24 hours of the repair done.
