Made a appointment to do annual back flow check, and repair a shut off valve. Completely blew off repairing valve . Several calls and weeks later still no repair on valve . They tell you they're coming and never show up . Stay clear of this company finally came gave a estimate , said would be back tomorrow , that was a week ago , bad news

We had an emergency broken pipe that needed to be accessed through the concrete floor to get to the pipe to repair. Flamingo charged $335 just to be in the house and charged a whopping $7800 for the access and pipe repair. We stupidly paid (it was an emergency) as they don't send bills to insurance companies. We found out that the charge was so exorbitant that a public adjuster cannot help us get insurance payment for this. The charge should have been $1500 to $2000! We were raped big time. Horribly inflated bill to take advantage of our situation.

For a simple installation of a new bathroom faucet (supplied by me), I was charged $350 which supposedly included a discount!!! This company is unbelievably expensive although their work quality is good. Also, their policy is to not give you any estimate of what the job will cost until the plumber is at your house and looks at the job. Therefore, it is very hard for the customer to make a decision whether to hire them. For all of these reasons, I will not use this company ever again.

Worst customer service of any """"service"""" company I have ever contacted! I initially called Monday morning and they advised they handle same day service - great! The tech came out and was onsite for MAYBE 5 minutes before he stated we needed a brand new water heater. My response - """"okay great, no problem, is this a quick fix?"""" The technician stated """"yes - you have a standard size and we can bring a new one tomorrow."""" Tuesday rolls around and I had not heard from anyone so I called in to check the status. They advised they were waiting on my landlord to approve the proposal. I thought that was odd because my landlord and I had been in close communication and he was on standby waiting for the proposal to be sent over. HE WAS NEVER EVEN SENT THE PROPOSAL!!! By the time we figured out he still didn't receive it, their offices were closed. I called again Wednesday morning and asked for an update.... I requested to speak with the manager at this point because I was getting the run around. Mike, the """"Manager"""", was ZERO help! He was short and rude and had the audacity to blame my landlord for returning the proposal to his """"AR Dept. email address, so his team never saw the approval"""". I asked """"where would my landlord have even received that email address?"""" He asked to put me on hold to find out. He then BLIND TRANSFERS ME to the AR Department to schedule our service. Patricia in AR gets on the phone and proceeds to tell me that the delay was that they were waiting on my landlord. I NICELY asked her to please share with me WHEN the proposal was emailed to him.... she confirmed his email address and then said """"he returned the proposal at 2:19PM"""". I asked sternly at this point, """"When was the proposal sent?"""", she then replied """"2PM"""". MY LANDLORD SENT BACK THE APPROVAL WITHIN 19 MINUTES AND SENT IT BACK TO THE EXACT EMAIL ADDRESS IT WAS EMAILED FROM PER THEIR REQUEST!! So then I tell Patricia, I'd like to speak with Mike again. Keep in mind, NOBODY ONCE APOLOGIZED. Not even Mike, the """"Manager"""". He got on the phone and I asked him why he would try and place blame on my landlord sending the approval to the wrong email instead of just scheduling the service with me and he said """"DO YOU WANT THE SERVICE OR NOT?"""". I stated, """"I'm on day 3 of NO RUNNING WATER! YES I WANT THE SERVICE!"""" He then replies, """"we will call you 30 minutes before coming out, we don't know what time that will be"""".

The one star is because the guy who did the work was nice.. unfortunately he was not thorough and worked really slow. I wanted faucets changed around the house and shut off valves updated to 1/4 turns. Also had a running toilet which I was told only needed a rubber flap. Should not have been too big a job considering my house isn't old and nothing is rotted-- just wanted cosmetic changes. I supplied all faucets and shutoff valves, went to depot TWICE while plumber was in the house because he """"didn't have anymore hoses or shut off valves with him"""". Meanwhile when I called to set up visit I told them how many valves I would want changed and he still didn't bring them. $750 and three days later and I have a toilet that is still running and two valves leaking under my bathroom cabinet. I'm waiting for a plumber to show up and it's Monday at 3:30pm. I've been dealing with emptying a bucket to prevent a major flood for 3 days. When I called to tell them about the toilet running I got attitude from whomever handles call backs- I'm assuming the manager. Got more attitude Saturday morning when I said he left me with a leak. Told me the one technician they have on Saturday might not be able to get to me on Saturday EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A LEAK?! With everything going on in the country I've tried to stay patient, but now I'm over this. NEVER DEAL WITH THIS PLACE!! TOTAL RIP OFF!!

I'll begin by how it ended. We asked for A BUNCH of business cards to hand out to ALL our neighbors! In a day in age where quality, congeniality, and expertise are rare commodities this company has it ALL... Flamingo stands head and shoulders above the rest. We needed a kitchen clog cleared... This was two days after CHRISTMAS.... Samantha was our first contact. So on a Thursday we were told that they were extremely busy and were scheduling for NEXT Wednesday. I said Uggh..We've been without water in the kitchen since the day before Christmas.! She said hold on. Came back a minute later and said """"how's tomorrow sound?"""" We were floored! She was wonderful. The next day Oscar showed up right on time. This Marine and Air Force reserve vet Was just the best. The Best! Unfortunately however, The heavy duty Electric snake machine quit! They all have to quit sometime. Samantha tried to find a truck in the area to come by with another one. They were all on long jobs, late in the day. Couldn't make it happen. Oscar was apologetic, disappointed and not used to having to walk away unfinished. So... The next morning... On a Saturday... Daniel, The MANAGER came to finish the job himself. And he could not have been better. Talk about conscientious and professional... This man blew us away. He had to snake out 45 feet to clear the clog. DON'T PUT EGGSHELLS IN YOUR GARBAGE DISPOSAL! He apologized for the equipment failure. He discounted the normal rate substantially. He was here an hour and a half on the Saturday after Christmas and there was no extra emergency or Saturday, or any other excuse to gouge extra money out of us. On the contrary, HE LITERALLY SAVED US A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF MONEY off of their already FAIR PRICES! He left the kitchen as clean as he found it... And happily took as good a care of us as he possibly could have! Talk about a grand slam home run... From Samantha, the girl answering the phone to Oscar the Marine, To Daniel the Manager... This is the company you want to call... when your back is to the wall. As it states on the side of their beautiful Flamingo trucks... """"If water flows through it, We can do it""""... And they aren't kiddin! Here is the company you need. Look no further. Pick up the phone. Yer done lookin!

Had an old sink that needed replacing, along with piping under the sink - Flamingo sent a technician out, and in a short while everything was installed, and no problems with the sink after that - thank you Flamingo, and thank you Josh for making my problem seem like it was nothing to worry about!

This is not a critique of the quality of their work, since we never got that far. This is a critique of how overpriced they are. Once the technician gave me the price of a simple job I had to pick myself up off the floor, say no thank you, and let them walk away with a $69 service call fee without letting them touch the job. They gave me a quote of $427 to fix a 1 inch PVC leak near my water meter...Combine that with the $69 service fee and you're looking at almost $500 for a simple job that consists of six dollars in parts. I called the office thinking that maybe the technician had quoted the wrong price from the book, but they said no, that is their price. The tech himself, was quite a nice fellow and seemed quite capable, was very apologetic about the prices and was just caught in the middle. I did eventually get the job done for $125 flat fee, and done well. 1/4 of the outrageous price they quoted. In a way, it's a bit of extortion since the customer usually feels that they are $69 in, why not let them just do the job. It turns out it was much more cost-effective for me to let them rip me off for that, than pay their full price. Then I came to realize why they actually ask you for a credit card number on the phone when you make the appointment before they'll do a work order, even though they let you pay by check... They must've had checks stopped in the past. That was the first time I ever had a vendor proceed that way. So the bottom line is, if money is no object, by all means use them... If you look for a fair price, not an insulting one, I highly recommend you do not use them.

We have been using United Plumbing for the past 2 years (now Flamingo Plumbing) and love their services. They are fair, kind, and thorough in their work. We've used them for tub replacement, shower conversion, drainage, and toilet installation and they truly are the experts. Paul & his team are amazing, trustworthy, and very affordable.
