I had a serious water leakage on Monday and I called Fiz Plumbing a few days later and Frank (owner) came out to assess the situation. It was a pretty big ordeal that had to involve the homeowner's insurance and remediation company to extract the moisture behind the walls and carpets. Anyhow, Frank and I talked a few times and I was ready to hire him for the job if the price was right since their would be some out of pocket expenses and some would be covered by the insurance policy and all I needed was a written proposal bid and not just an estimate from Frank. He told me he would draft it up and send it to me and well its now been 3 days later and not even a simple phone call or email from him or anyone else from his company. I called and left him a message on his voicemail yesterday and still no response as if he just vanished from the face of the earth unexpectedly. I know he told me that he's a 1 man army and its hard to find reliable plumbers to work under him as he may take on way too many projects but as a owner, its important to communicate with your potential clients within a reasonable amount of time, in which he failed to do so. If he couldn't handle the job because he was so tied up elsewhere, I would understand that but its not only professional but its a common courtesy to your potential clients to let them know if you will take on the job or not instead of leaving your potential clients up in the air, especially when the claims adjuster has also been waiting patiently and the dehumidifer is sucking up all electricity bill.

Awesome!!! He would have received a 5 star but he was late and promised an earlier time. He said it was due to traffic and I believe him. He was quick, friendly and helpful. We were going to cancel him because he was taking so long but asked if he could still come. Was very apologetic and gave us a great rate! Customer service and opinion was important to him and he won us over! Excited we have found a plumber!!!

After running into issues with another plumber that was trying to up sell my fiance and I on a job I called into Fiz Plumbing.

My first impression was a bit shaky - I called and Frank answered on speaker phone. It was hard to hear what he was saying but after a few minutes he took me off speaker and explained the whole situation to me. His van had broken down and he wasn't going to be able to make it out to help us that night. He then offered to call one of his techs to have the job done that night (for $85).

Let me be the first to say this if it hasn't already been said - In all honesty Frank and his crew TRULY care about customer service. Alfredo reached out too me at about 6 pm. His truck was in the shop getting the brakes fixed but as soon as it was done - he said he would be right on his way to find the root of our problems. He got to the house at about 815 and within 20-30 minutes had the drain unclogged.

He was extremely thorough and helped my fiance and I understand everything that was going on. After unclogging the drain he had us start up the diswasher to make sure the drain didn't back up again. He also told us the root of the whole problem which was our main is only two inches thick that we couldn't run our dishwasher and our washing machine at the same time. That it was the reason behind the overflow and clog into our shower/bath.

Nevertheless FIZ Plumbing has a lifetime customer. I was a bit uncertain at first - but within 5 minutes I could tell these guys were the real deal.

A representative of Fiz came to my house yesterday found a leaky pipe and scheduled with us to come out and fix it next day 9-9:30am. Well here we are at 10:15am and they never showed. So I called asking what was up and they said oh yeah we got caught up at another job but we are on our way.

As a business owner myself, I make sure that if my employees are late for any reason that they get a call BEFORE the appt time to let them know what's going on and keep them updated. It's called common courtesy!

I asked them not to come at all and I am going to find a more professional company to finish my plumbing work.

I normally do not write negative Yelp reviews but I felt that this situation merits one. Again, I am not sharing this story for sympathy it is merely to explain the gravity of the situation. Three weeks ago my father-in-law passed away and my wife became incredibly ill and being in the bathtub has been one of the few things that has brought her comfort during this difficult time. Unfortunately, our water heater broke and I found myself searching for a plumber and Fiz Plumbing was well reviewed. I explained to Frank, the owner, my situation that I had been forced to boil water on the stove in order to draw a bath for my wife continuously for days. Frank seemed very concerned and began talking to me about God and how he would pray for my wife. He also said that as soon as the part arrived he would come in and take care of me because ""his mission from God was to serve people"" or something to that effect. The part arrived on January 20, 2015 and I called Frank and asked if it wasn't too late to get the water heater fixed. Frank seemed hesitant to accept the job on this day. However, he did have the time to give me a mini-sermon about how he found Christ after his own parents passed away when he was in his twenties. He then proceeded to tell about how he hit rock bottom and ended up homeless and turned his life around. He used God and his life story to lead me to believe that he would take care of me. He also found the time to tell me about a television commercial he has coming out in the near future. He also suggested that I should YouTube his inspirational life story ""Pipe Dreams"" that was filmed by Yelp. When Frank was done pontificating, he then said he would call me later that afternoon. I went to bed and still received no call. Friday morning I decided to call Frank at his listed cell phone number as well as his ""special"" number twice for a total of four phone calls. The whole time I continued boiling water for my ailing wife. Several hours later I received a jumbled text message with something to the effect that he was at a field trip with his kid and that he would be out by 2 o'clock. Unfortunately, I trusted Frank and waited and did not bother calling another plumber. On Saturday, I called Norwalk-La Mirada Plumbing and had my issue resolved within about 2 hours. Currently, I still have not received a phone call, an explanation, or an apology from Frank. I hope people read this and that Frank reads this and perhaps takes a course in business etiquette.

I've had mostly bad experiences with plumbers. They generally tries to get as much money out of you as possible rather than charging a fair price for fair work.

The Fiz is not your run of the mill plumber. Very nice guy, will talk your ears off if you let him :P but you'll like him.

He'll go above and beyond for you and is reasonable. I highly recommend him.

called frank at fiz plumbing , my sink in my bathroom was clogged, talked to him today he came out a few hrs later to fix it, his service was outstanding and may i say his personally is aweswome too, i see he takes pride in his work , im glad i called him , i will definitely use him again if i have any more plumbing problems :) tony g

We were in desperate need of someone to fix our pipes and I stumbled upon Frank here on Yelp. Not only did he fix the issue-- but he came to give us an estimate at around 9pm (I called him late in a panic and he rushed over!) and took the time to really check out the problem. We had a few guys come out before Frank and they were totally ripping us off. Frank is honest, he is meticulous with his work, and to top it off he is a genuinely kind and hard working man. You can really tell this guy is passionate about what he does. He will work with you on many things, he is knowledgeable about his work, and I cannot thank him enough for helping us out. Not only have I found a plumber, but I also found a friend! Haha! Super awesome man. Get in touch with him-- you won't regret it, promise!

I've had Frank for several jobs, big and small, now. From slow toilets, to replacing toilets, replacing a whole sewage system, and replacing a water heater. He's always flexible with appointments, on time, fair, and full of energy. A true professional. Frank is my go-to guy!

Plain and simple, Fiz plumbing is awesome. Frank and Chris came out and repaired a leak at my parents house. They were honest, professional, courteous, and just great people. When I say honest, I mean some of the best human beings you'll ever meet. I really mean that. I'm so glad I called these guys. Very Happy.
