DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Couldn't get a refund for newly renewed service due to a part delay they blamed on covid, nationwide shortage. Repair should have been done under prior term but they stretched it out over 4 months which went into the new policy term and said I'd use up the expenses for the new term so no refund do. Poor management, incompetence, no quality and always backed up on service requests!

I requested the pool repair on March 4th (service was backed up due to the freeze and tech was rescheduled to 3/25) and it wasn't fixed until the end of July blaming it on a nationwide shortage of that pump. I found that part in stock with over a dozen suppliers nationwide in addition to speaking to several pool repair people in the industry including my neighbor who owns a pool repair business. There wasn't a nationwide shortage, it was just the 1 "approved" vendor that Fixed used and I sent an email to Fixd customer service stating that and even in July, the tech with Paradise Pool Services was given the WRONG pump for the repair so he had to order a new one on 7/13 so it wasn't fixed until 7/22 when the new pump arrived.
THE POOL REPAIR SHOULD HAVE BEEN UNDER THE PRIOR TERM CONTRACT, not after the renewal on 5/6/21. This was a Fixd internal / process / management / quality control issue, not a nationwide shortage. I also requested that that my email to Fixed be shared with management and I'm pretty sure it wasn't as I got the standard, robot response of "nationwide shortage" again. Management could have made a decision to override and get the pump from another source but it appears servicing is and has been even BELOW status quo and "Doing the right thing" is not of importance. Being in operations management, accounting, quality control and audits for over 30 years I could go on and on. I feel this is unacceptable. And I had to pay several hundred dollars on pool chemicals because the pool cleaner pump didn't work for 5 months.
Additionally, Fixd repair replaced display panel on my pool heater in June 2018. Tech had to consult his friend outside of Fixd as it wasn't his expertise and it never did work the way it did before where I could turn the heater on and off with a touch of a button on the control unit inside my house. He (via his friend's explanation) said I had to go to the outside unit and change it to "spa mode" and change the temp when I wanted to use the heater. So during the winter I had to lower the temp and make sure it wasn't on spa mode to keep it from coming on every time the temp was below 65 and running up my gas bill - I never had to do that in the 4 prior years that I had lived here. FINALLY, the tech that replaced the pump in late July said is was a simple "bypass" setting that the other tech knew nothing about so that has been a pain to deal with for the last 3 years due to lack of expertise.
My toilet still doesn't work from the 6/10 repair and tech said Fixd won't replace with a new toilet which is what I need as I had a separate plumber come out to check the toilet and do a sewer static pressure test to make sure it wasn't the pipes under the house or a leak and no issues were found other than a poorly working toilet.
I also had to call and pay for an independent plumber to fix a leak in my kitchen disposal (causing water damage and water pouring through the brick on the front façade of my home) in June. I tried to schedule in the Fixd app but scheduling was backed up for over a week and I couldn't go that long not being able to use my sink.
I have been told that Fixd is going through many management changes since it was bought out and most of the internal techs were let go this year.
I'm sharing with everyone not to ever use Fixd and I will be complaining to the BBB.

It's over 90 degrees and I'm sweating in my house!!!! I have a 1 yr warranty contract and couldn't get anyone to come out without paying a higher fee. So I hired another company that came out the very next morning and determined that it was a coil that needed to be replaced which they could do same day. Since the price was high, I waited for the Fixd guy to come out, 3 days later. He said it wasn't the coil but another little part that is resulting in it freezing. Said he'd order the part and in a couple days when it comes in, they'll call me to schedule another visit to install the part. A whole week and still no part and all customer support can tell me is that it was ordered. How long do I have to be without AC with temps rising?!?!?! I called 3 other HVAC companies and they could all come in with the part and install it same day. So why not Fixd?!?

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I read other reviews and found out that instead of purchasing the parts themselves they wait for the manufacturer to send them the part for free. So saving themselves money results in me having no AC in my house during these hot 90 degree plus days for weeks and weeks. I wish I had never signed up with them. Don't make the same mistake I did.

So, we bought a house and fixd home warranty was in the contract to protect us in case of a costly repair. And I must say, they are not very well equipped. We have had three plumbers at different time come to fix a drain. Three. None of them chose to do the work needed to make our drain correct. Now we need another repair and they are unreachable. Truly the worst experience ever with a warranty.

They had someone come out to our house for a schedule maintenance last year and told us if we prepurchased the maintenance for the next year they would come out before each season. Have not been able to get in touch with anyone and when we finally did to request a refund we were told they had refunded it while we were on the phone. We never received the refund and again have not been able to get a hold of anyone for the service we have paid for or to get the refund. The amount is also much higher than other competitors for this service and nothing has been done.

Avoid them for any services.

I've had several home warranty companies over the years and this is by far the worst. It took months before they fixed my dishwasher. I waited weeks for a tech to come fix a dryer and now l need an electrician. I requested service for the electrician over a week ago and Fixd still has not scheduled anyone. In order to reach customer service you have to use their chat feature on the app. I've asked the reps several times to have a supervisor call me the next day and no one calls me. This company is a joke.

Horrible company. They came out to repair my dryer. The technician never opened the back of the dryer to check why it was smelling like something was burning. He spent the whole time scrolling through his phone to show me what the inside of the dryer looked like and what a great dryer Maytag brand is. He said the problem was the dryer duct needed cleaning--Not True! When I called the officed to let them know the dryer was not repaired I was told by Jerry that the technicians don't remove the back of a dryer-WHAT???? Then how do they fix the problem? Or yeah, they don't! They just take our money and rip people off. Horrible company!!

They are thieves!! Beware!!!! They charge you for services weeks before rendering services. They have false advertising on their website. Ambiguous info. This is why they charge your credit card in advance because of their underhanded ways. Shame on you!! Never would I recommend this company. Tech never came into my house once I knew he would not be doing what I requested. Yesterday, they will take 7 days to reimburse $50 of the already charged $100. DONT !! Don't get this warranty. It's a ripoff. A scam.

I met this company through Porch.com for an estimate on a shut off valve I wanted to install. They took my CC info said it was for payment for if I decided to go with them. They never provided me a quote in a written form, as I asked. I was later charged $89 for what was described as non-refundable charge, even though it was just an estimate.

Buyer beware working with these guys, reading other reviews on google, yelp and BBB, looks like they try to nickle and dime you.

I purchased a 1 year warranty on a new home in Texas. I have had the worst experiences in all my years as a homeowner. The incompetence of the repair people and the managers is staggering. It took 5 visits and 3 different repairmen to fix my ice dispenser. The plumber put my hot and cold handles on backwards. They refused to fix a leaking pool pump valve and blamed it on the most recent winter storm even thou I specifically told them it has been leaking for months with erosion of the sand below the leak to prove it.. Absolutely will never sign up again with them and have told all my social media contacts to do the same.
