They canceled on me 3 times then tried to set up another appointment 5 days later. Told them I didn't need this kind of service.
Now it's 4 months later and the install work they did has, amazingly, STILL not passed inspection from the city of Denver. That's because they've failed twice to make the changes the city requires to ensure a safe, properly working furnace. This is one shoddy company -- from customer service to technical know-how. Beware of Fix-it 24/7. I think what those hours mean in the business name is that they're capable of screwing it up around the clock.
I used the $39 furnace cleaning special. Tom Martino who advertised the special said that they don't try and sell you anything......WHAT A LIE. LITERALLY the entire process was a sales pitch. They tried to sell me two INSANELY OVERPRICED products as well as a stupid maintenance plan. It was like having a car salesman in my house. I would not recommend them unless you are okay with pressured sales
Called on Sunday with a broken heater because hours on site state ""Open 24/7."" The operator stated someone from their office would call me with a response time today. She also told me the response alone would be $300. Due to the weather, I was left with little choice but to accept the response fee. I relied on that statement and did not call any other heating services. The office never called, and now I am left with no heater on the coldest day in years. If they were unable to provide services they could have done the common courtesy of giving me a call. Do not recommend.
Cris L.I hired them since they were associated with Home Depot for furnace maintenance and repairs - thinking this should be okay if they are associated with Home Depot as I've had bad luck with contractors before. Their repairs and their workmanship caused more problems for my furnace including three months later, a no longer a working furnace. Here are photos of their work since I had to call someone else to come fix it. They taped metal to metal, caused a burn through the printed wiring board, and also a hazard for a potential house fire as it shorted and burned through. I called them when things stopped working and their 24/7 policy is not accurate, nor did they offer any compensation or refund for this. They don't stand by any of their guarantees. I do not recommend them. Please, go somewhere else.
Do not use this company. They make promises and then don't keep them. A 1 day job ended up taking 3. They charge a premium price but don't provide the service to back it up. And once they have your money, they don't care anymore, not that they did before. For more details look at the review I posted on their BBB and FB.
Richard R.Let me start by saying that I am not an electrician, and not much of a DIYer either. Hence, when I tried to diagnose why my in-sink disposal was not working, I was sure it was an electrical issue. We had replaced the disposal a couple years before, and it had not given us any issues or indications that it was failing.
So I called Fix-It 24/7. The people on the phone were nice and set up an appointment for the two days later. Our electrician (I regret that I forget his name) and his apprentice showed up right on time and I showed them to the problem.
The first thing he told me, before he even touched any part of my house, was that it would be $260 to fix the problem. That was my first red flag. He hadn't even so much as looked under my sink or taken out a single tool.
Once I reluctantly agreed, it took him about 2 minutes before he said, ""The electrical is fine, your disposal is broken.""
Now look, of course I'm embarrassed because I thought I had made sure that the disposal was not the issue. However, when I apologized for wasting his time, he said ""I can't charge you for that. How about $200?""
Wait, what? This is a negotiation? He hadn't done any work at all. I said ""Isn't this what the trip charge is for?"" He could be in and out of my house in 10 minutes and have made $40 for his trouble without fixing anything. But no. Not this electrician. He then said ""How about $150."" I said, ""Fine, whatever."" And I thought that would be the end of it.
So I encouraged him to leave. But, I guess he realized that I was planning on making a complaint, and then started looking for something to do. He told his apprentice to grab his cleaning supplies and then went out to my electrical box and started blowing it out with compressed air. Wow, what an incredible use of my time. At this point, I had told him he didn't need to do anything else and could leave at least three times. The only reason he stayed in my home is because he knew that charging me $150 for 5 minutes of ""work"" was problematic, so he had to do some menial task in order to justify his price tag.
This was a terrible experience. Don't use Fix-It 24/7. If this is the kind of unethical people they are willing to employ, they don't deserve your business.
Steve B.My 20 year HVAC service company was acquired by Fix It in the summer of 2020. I received a letter and a discount card, so I contacted Fix It in Sep 2020.
Turns out, none of the records from the old company came over, because of Fix It's new systems. So we start out as a new account. They sold me a ""Maintenance Club"" membership but the discount card basically worthless because of a long list of services to which it can not be applied.
They schedule and provide a service on 25th Sep 2020. During that service, the tech sold me a device to ""soften"" the AC Compressor start-up that he thought would cost around $200 with my Maintenance Club membership. The tech could not be sure since he did not know how to use their new systems.
Fast forward to 8th Jan 2021 when I receive a bill for $500, after having no contact from Fix It (other than more worthless discount cards for my friends since I am such a valued customer) in the intervening 3+ months. Then on 9th Jan 2021 I get a phone message that they intend to file a lien on my property. I call the company today.
The person, who said he was the Operations Manager, who was going to file the lien, had trouble pulling up my account, more systems issues. He had no idea why the discount, which was interestingly enough shown on the bill, but not applied, had not been applied. Nor was he curious enough to actually sort out what I presume is yet another systems issue.
So to be done with these people, I paid the full amount and asked that my account be canceled.
Clearly, their systems are a mess. Their billing may be fraudulent. And their service techs are at best misinformed or purposely misleading clients.
I tried to book an appointment for the Tom Martino $39 Heating Special (The mentioned special is a complete furnace cleaning for $39), a month ago and when trying to arrange said appointment, I was told they were busy and would have to call me back.
I agreed, and waited for their call...and waited, and waited...but they never called back.
Fast-forward to last week, when I call Fix-it 24/7 again trying to arrange an appointment for the very same Tom Martino $39 Heating Special. When I called, the person on the other end of the line had no idea what I was talking about (feigning ignorance, perhaps) despite the special being plastered all over their website and hyped on Fox31 every weekday morning.
They eventually acquiesced and agreed to make an appointment to service my furnace the following Monday 1/4/21, between 2-5pm.
Come Monday morning and I was anticipating a call from Fix-It 24/7 to let me know the technician was on their way.
But no call.
Come 5:00 with no call and no technician I call Fix-It 24/7 and ask what's up, and I'm told that my appointment was bumped back 2 weeks because, ""We're really busy with important appointments.""
Upon inquiring if a technician could come later in the night (they are 24/7 after all) I was told, ""Well, we could do that, but the technician won't be able to clean your furnace unless he repairs it first.""
My furnace is fine, and I never told them I had a problem with my furnace, I just told them it needed to be cleaned.
So not only does Fix It 24/7 not try to honor their publicized deals, not return calls, not keep appointments, and not bother to inform people about scheduling changes, they also try to bait-and-switch so they can upsell you services you don't need and never asked for.
I always assumed Tom Martino's recognition and recommendation for a business meant that it was a reputable business that he was endorsing, but it turns out his name is worth as much as Fix-It 24/7's word - which is to say, worthless.
Stay away from this company - there's plenty of other plumbing, electrical, and HVAC companies throughout Colorado, and you're better off going to any of them rather than being jerked around and lied to by Fix-It 24/7.
Honestly, I should've known this company was trash - the jingle they use in their commercials is annoying as hell and practically unintelligible. If they willingly paid someone to put that in their commercials it's obvious Fix-It 24/7 is owned and operated by dullards.
Do not call this company. They charge you for parts you do not need just to reach their revenue goal. Management is a joke. They do not care about the health of employees. The manager is not professional at all. 1/10.
