Terrible customer service. After receiving an outrageous estimate, I tried to call the office for some clarification. The man who answered the phone was terribly rude and the man whom I was transferred to was also demeaning and impatient when I simply tried to understand a discrepancy in the estimate from what I was told. Quite frankly, I don't recall the last time I have dealt with business representatives like they were on the phone. They will not ever get my business.

My clients recently used Five Star to have their septic updated to accommodate the accessory living unit we are building, and they had a very good experience. In order to submit for permit, we needed additional info, and Ron was incredibly accommodating in a very short turnaround time. Would 100% recommend.

Called at 1 PM they came out the next day at 5:30 AM (yes I requested that time). Could not ask for faster service to pump a 3000 Gallon Tank. Polite (Big Tom) and very efficient. I recommend them highly.

Where do I begin? This company was the only septic company we used up till last month. Last year we paid thousands for a broken part of the septic, they told us they pumped the tanks at the same time. Of course, I paid for the pump-out since as a housewife I know nothing about septic. One day last night, our basement ceiling started leaking, brown water came into the second-floor powder room. It was like a war zone. I called 5 design before they said anything else they wanted to charge me $1095 for emergency service. Another couple of companies quoted me $350 to $400 for the same services. It was later discovered by me that my tanks were not pumped! My new company came and pumped two days in a row for tanks that I thought were emptied less than a year ago. I will absolutely report this to the county. 5 design not only lied about their work, they also try their to take advantage of emergencies. Of course we will never use this company ever again. I am writing this review in the hopes that others won't become a victim. It cost thousands to clean up the house after septic water came inside the house. I believe they never cleaned the tanks fully and did not do the necessary repairs.

Their response took forever. The owners wife Patricia was less than helpful. They don't really care about what your problem is. I got tired of waiting and found someone else. That's not how to treat a customer

I just moved into a new house that Five Star Septic had been servicing for years. We decided to stay with them to do an evaluation of our septic system. It was easy to schedule and affordable, and they did it on schedule and completely. Unfortunately, there were problems. I asked them for an estimate, checked out the price with others, and had them do the work. They did it in a timely way and it was done well, including the successful inspection by our county officials (which they were present at). They were easy to get on the phone when I needed to talk, and their info and billing was straightforward. I will continue to utilize their services (hopefully not needing them too much!).

I highly recommend this company. A few weeks ago, I had an emergency and they responded and came out within an hour or two and took care of the problem (they found that the septic tank needed to be jetted). There was an emergency surcharge because it was on a weekend evening, but everyone was so professional and helpful , and we were quickly able to get back to normal life.

Subsequently -- a couple of days ago, we had another water problem and I thought it wise to have the septic tank checked again because we had the same type of problems as before. I called Five Star and they were immediately concerned that the septic tank itself might not be properly disseminating the waste into the septic field. They sent someone out within the hour to check it even though it was late Friday afternoon. It turned out that the tank was functioning properly and that I needed to call a plumber, but even though there was never any question regarding the quality of their work, the owner refused to charge me for this visit (even though they had to dig down to get to the septic tank to check it and replace the dirt when done). He said that I'd already had to pay to have them come out the first time and pay an emergency surcharge, and now I would have to pay a plumber, and that times are tight, so no charge.

Doesn't that just make you feel good? It was awesome:)))

Searched for a septic company to pump my RV tanks out. 5 Star agreed to come the next day so I cancelled all quotes with others. They couldn't tell me when the truck/driver would arrive. They showed up at 5 am, just happened to be up and saw the truck and lights in the drive. Truck then abruptly left. No call. I had to call them at 9am and ask what was going on. The receptionist told me after a short hold that the driver didn't have the right attachment for the RV and would have to come back on Monday, 5 DAYS LATER. I asked why the driver would come at 5 am and NOT have the right attachment. She didn't know. I asked why, if it was their fault, wouldn't they come back out to service my RV (I have out of town family staying in it). She put be on hold again to presumably ""discuss with managers"", and returned with the the same story. I told her I was going to post this and let everyone know NOT to use 5 Star Septic since they don't honor their promises. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE NOT HONEST AND DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS. No manager called me back or apologized for leaving me without service.

I only gave one star because I couldn't leave it blank. Horrible, horrible service. I have had to call multiple times to have a portable toilet serviced on one of our construction sites. They never show or call back. I finally gave up and had to leave a message to have it removed. Surprise, surprise-they still haven't done that!
