We are extremely disappointed in your plumbing division. We have always been pleased with your services & have always trusted Five Star. But your management in plumbing is incompetent, negligent, & extremely dishonest. They take advantage of seniors. We were supposed to have a meeting with your president Larry Sinn regarding the awful treatment we got & the manner in which the job was done over a period of more than a week & we were left without running water for 9 days! They had no idea what they were doing. Unless, they were purposely trying to drag it out. Your manager put us thru hell. He insulted our intelligence, preyed on our age & our trust. We feel we have been scammed & this is not over by any means! Shame on you Five Star! If Larry Sinn, president, gets this review on his desk-i want him to know that we tried to communicate all this to him. Maybe Doug intervened(?) Doug put us thru hell & ruined our Christmas. Shame on management!

Called for a leaky faucet, paid 69 dollars for dispatch fee and had the guy leave after telling me that it would cost upwards of 700 dollars to replace a faucet handle. Though the guy was nice and seemed to know what he was doing, I can't justify that price.

This outfit should change their name to One Star Plumbing Heating Cooling @!! Six weeks ago I heard their paid radio program advertising an inexpensive tune-up/inspection for new customers. I scheduled an appointment for a Saturday with no problem. The rep called me to confirm the appointment and ask if I could move the appointment to Monday. I told her I specifically asked for a Saturday appointment because of my work schedule. A man called me back in a few minutes and explained that they reserve the weekend for emergency call-outs. I explained why I needed the appointment to be Saturday and that is the way they are going to have to have it. So much for being a ethical company run by people who keep their word. Thanks for nothing. Steer clear unless you want to get burned.

My ac went out gave them a call at my house the very next morning. After only 3 minutes of looking at my system the service tec said that my entire system had acid in the system. Then he went out to his truck to work up a work order and cost of the repair. Now this is what he said, my entire system had needed to replaced at a cost of you aint goingto believe this he quoted me a price of 11,700 after a few min that went down to 9,945 . About that time my brother walked in and seen the price. He gave me a number of another guy, this new guy came out looked at and repaired my ac for 850.00 including all part labor and recharging my system.

Dont depend on them in an emergency. They comfirm an appointmeny but don't bother to follow up and tell you that their drivers can't get to you after a storm while you wait hours for them to show and could have called someone else or get the parts yourself. We won't use them ever again. Their customer service skills SUCK!

I called during peak summer months to have out AC checked over. The guy charged me $125 to clean my heat pump. I watched him spray it with my hose on camera for 1 minute. Then he said a part was bad and even tried to show me it was in range but would not last. He charged me $310 to replace it. That same part is $17.35 online and can be changed without tools. I took the old one to a parts house and they laughed that it could not be known when it would fail if it tested in range. He also told me they had been bought out recently and to not expect good service next time. Better to call someone else. That way the next guy cant contradict his work. Such a shame

Based on two experiences with Five Star plumbing, I feel they are mediocre. They advertise well on Yelp and are at the top of the list. Positives: + answer the phone and quick response. + courteous staff + clean and they use mats to protect floors Negatives: - Both times they initially sent a less capable plumber who had to call in a """"master plumber"""" which delayed the process. - Paid for general plumbing inspection/survey that missed an ongoing leak that had to be addressed when I found it the following day. - Didn't notify me the severity of a different leak under our house. Didn't look at the meter. - Suggested using a leak detection service without offering temporizing measure. Asked me to them know when the leak was located. - After greater than 100,000 gallon difference in our monthly water bill, I chose to turn off our water main. (A competitor was able to isolate the leak same day so we could turn our water main back on.) - High and non-transparent prices. """"Your discount was automatically calculated in the computer"""" though there was no reference to it on the invoice. If you need someone to come out right away, they are quick to respond. If your problem has any complexity, I would suggest trying elsewhere or at least getting another quote.

Our downstairs AC stopped working Friday night. After a call Saturday morning the service representative promised someone would arrive that day, but it might be in the evening. The technician showed up at 8pm and was friendly and attentive even after a long day of working. Realizing the issue was a simple fix caused by our drip pan being full, the technician corrected the issue and ensured all was in working order. We have an annual service plan and when we received our invoice, it was for $0. Even after the same day service, and a 2-hr drive time for the technician, it still didn't cost us anything. Even with similar service plans, other companies surely would have charged us for after-hours and same day service, but not Five Star. Can not recommend enough!

Rocky did a great job installing my natural gas line from my furnace to my natural gas grill. He showed up on time. Was friendly to talk to. Maybe a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Would recommend and will use them in the future.

Came home from work this evening to a cold house, and with temps dipping into the 30s tonight, I called Five Star. We've been clients for seven years and would not use another provider HVAC. Tyler, on call tonight, arrived at my house tonight close to 10 pm and was so polite and helpful that it was like I was his first customer of the day. He got my auxiliary system working within minutes and left me with two space heaters just in case until another technician follows up in the morning. Tyler was thorough, patient, entirely professional, and downright interesting to chat with. Always satisfied with Five Star!
