This company was horrible. They were sent out by our home warranty company only to punch two big holes in our ceiling to "" try to find the problem"" without checking the bathtub for a leak first. Come to find out it was a bathtub leak and now they are refusing to fix the giant holes they caused in the ceiling. Customer service was horrible, when they did finally answer I was told it "" wasn't their problem"" and she hung up on me. I would never reccomend this company!
Pilar L.On June 02, 2021 was referred to Fazio Plumbing & Drain. Did not get a call back until 2 days later. June 09, 2021 a technician was dispatched to my home due to gas water heater problem. Another family member received the tech while I was at work. He said, ""The thermostat needs replaced and the crackling, pop and banging is normal"". Then left. Upon arriving home, no business card and he left no invoice of his findings. June 17, called home warranty. Cornelius said, ""That ticket is closed and completed"". I asked what was the reason statement? His response, ""He found no problem and everything was workingl"". Fazio's had NO INTENTION of fixing the water heater. I requested another service provider. Called Fazio can only leave a message. I left a voicemail of my findings, since they don't answer. June 18 called home warranty as a follow up. Angel said, ""We are looking first another vendor. Fazio called and closed it and is not doing service. They never submitted a diagnostic invoice stating their findings and a copy to you and to us. They never filed a copy. They had no intentions of fixing water heater"". Fazio never responded to my voicemail. But, why would they? They don't care about customer service. At least an apology and making things right. NOTHING. They lied to the customer and the home warranty company. I requested that my complaint of this company be escalated. They don't need to be in ""business"". They don't deserve not even one star. Those who have home warranties, just because they refer does not mean they have done due diligence in their research. All their interested in is money. Whoever they assign, RESEARCH they can reassign until it's made right. We pay them. All of them. They work for us NOT the other way around. Therefore, ALL negative comments about Fazio on this page and BBB BELIEVE it!! Please do NOT call them. Spare yourself of irresponsible, horrendous customer service, and allowing deception from them. What you see here, is what you will get from Fazio. Spare your grief and seek out other reputable companies. Fazio is the bottom of the barrel. It will cost you more later.
Megan O.It's been over a month since my home warranty assigned them to fix my water heater and the leaking water is now accompanied by shrieking. Still no response when I call and no returned calls so I'm done. The first gal I spoke with was very nice, but nothing has been done so I have to find some place else.
Read the other reviews. Was connected via home warranty, they came out and did nothing, but suggested pricy smoke testing that the warranty wouldn't cover. I tried to get a cost estimate for months, they were completely unresponsive. Then they told me to get incremental approval from the home warranty. Fine. Finally got additional approval from the home warranty company only to finally get a response from Fazio -- they can't do the smoke testing anymore. Waste of hours of time and month.
Find another plumber that actually will get the work done for you and not make you chase your tail for months.
Marc W.It was near impossible to get a call back and they provided an estimate then never followed up on the work. Not a very professional experience. Happy to give them a shot if they are interested in following up.
Absolute worst plumbing service we have dealt with. Fazio's was dispatched by our home warranty company. We had opened a claim back in May. They came out and said they couldn't work on it and that we need to remove the floor, toilet, and vanity. We sent numerous texts to see to what extent we needed to have done. We had to play a one sided game of phone tag. It still has not been completed. This company truly enjoys leaving their customers in the dark. We finally had them out again yesterday 9/9/20 and the plumber opened up our sewage line and never capped it or closed it. They also disconnected our washers drain pipes and never let us know. They left my house before 4 O'Clock and never truly gave us a solid idea of when they would return to complete the job. It is now 3:16pm and after numerous phone calls to them and no answer. We reached out to our warranty company this afternoon. Fazio's / Gahan the dispatcher/ owner possibly actually told them they could not do anymore more work with out another ticket. Needless to say the home warranty had to file a claim within their company's relations team because leaving the sewage open is a health hazard. He also felt that they should still complete the job they were contracted to do. However, I have to pay for a new dispatch claim to another company and hope I am able to get my deductible back since Fazio's failed to complete the work. I have the warranty because I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. This company seems to be ran by con-men.
My home warranty company (American Home Shield) dispatched Fazio Sewer & Plumbing to my property in Cleveland area. Shoddy unfinished work. Simple clog that they could not unclog in basement after multiple attempts. Kitchen sink could not be used for ""3 WEEKS"" in a house with kids because this company couldn't unclog a pipe in the basement and never calls you back to finish the job. Warranty company finally dispatched another company which unclogged the pipe on its first attempt.
Once Fazio Sewer & Plumbing decides not to finish your job, you'll never get a call back from them, which is what happened with me. It was always me leaving a voicemail to them because they never answer their phone (bad sign!). Then sometimes their voicemail box is full so I can't even leave a message (another bad sign! -- other people apparently are cramming their voicemail box full too).
Then, when I complained to my home warranty company, the warranty company told me that Fazio's couldn't get in touch with me, although they never left me a voicemail, I never got a missed call from them, and it's always me trying to contact them. If they couldn't finish the job, why say this to the home warranty company which only delays the home warranty company sending out a different company? So, not only are they refusing to finish the job, but they are also delaying the home warranty company from sending out someone else to finish the job (a double whammy). Meanwhile the kitchen sink can't be used for 3 weeks. Imagine your kitchen sink not working in your house for 3 weeks.
If you like a plumber that doesn't finish the job, you have to always chase them down to finish the job, and never calls you back, this is the right one for you.
I should also add that months prior to this incident, I had my home warranty company send someone to fix a leaking toilet (leaks onto the floor in tiny amounts from where the tank joins the bowl) and to clear up the main drain in the basement where the washing machine dumps into because it was draining slowly. I figure that I would get both of these easy problems fixed. On that occasion, the home warranty company also dispatched Fazio. I thought Fazio fixed the problem. But I learned later from my property manager after a tenant moved in that both items were not fixed and my property manager had to repair them himself.
Home warranty company sent Fazio to unclog kitchen drain. I have a 25 foot pipe snake and extended the full length into the drain, but did not clear the drain before notifying the home warranty company. I explained this to Fazio - most plumbers have longer snakes, right? 2 plumbers showed up and used a 25 foot snake, fully extended and had the same result I did. Understand that the drain pipe is nearly 50 feet long, all but the first 6 feet of which is entire exposed in the basement. They said cleanouts should exist every 25 feet for longer drain pipe runs. I asked whether they had longer snakes like most plumbers. They said they recommend installing a cleanout and snaking both directions, which they could do. However, Fazio reported to the warranty company the job was completed!
A call to the home warranty company revealed that they wouldn't cover the recommendation under the warranty and Fazio should be getting back to me. I called Fazio and left a message stating I wanted them to complete the work, whether covered by warranty or not (kitchen drain had been clogged over a week at this point). The estimate, to ""jet"" the drain, then install a cleanout was $450. We got it scheduled and 2 different plumbers came. I showed them around, explained what the recommendation was. They asked if I had an old bedsheet to cover a wine rack in the basement to protect it when they installed the cleanout and cleared the clog. I stated that the previous plumbers who came (also from Fazio) said they'd come with a tarp to protect anything in the area, but that I could round up an old bedsheet and tarps I used when painting if necessary. They went out to their truck, I assumed to get a tarp and whatever equipment they needed to do the job. Several minutes later, I saw them pull out of the driveway and leave. I called Fazio to ask what was going on - why 2 different plumbers and why they seemed not to know the situation. As always, I had to leave a voice message. 15 or so minutes later, one of the plumbers came back to the front door and said they left a few things in the basement. I followed him and asked what was going on and was told they were going to Home Depot to get the items they need to complete the job. After he left, I called Fazio and left another message asking what the heck was going on, whether these people worked for them, and why they seemed unaware of the job they were supposed to perform. My wife noticed their truck pulled over about a quarter of a mile down the street and sat there for at least 15 minutes (she works from home and looks that way from her work area). 20 minutes or so later, I get a call from Fazio's stating that the scope of the job changed - ""70 foot drain pipe"", ""12 foot ceiling"", ""boxes and wine rack in the way"". I really don't know where she got the information, but I discussed with her when arranging the work that the drain pipe was 50-60 feet long, which was an estimate, but I took the time to measure it afterward and found that it is actually less than 50 feet. How anyone can say the basement (or any floor in our home for that matter) has a 12 foot ceiling is hard to believe. The kitchen drain pipe is exactly 8 feet 4.5 inches from the basement floor where the first 2 plumbers recommended placing the clean out. I also explained that I could and would move anything they felt was in the way. Joehan(?) also stated something about ""there's so much going on"" to which I asked what she meant by that and whether they were too busy to complete the work or just didn't want to do it. She then tells me that so much has changed that if they want me to do it, it'll cost $2,400!!! She then said she was merely giving me a courtesy call to let me know about the change in scope and cost to complete the work!! A courtesy call to tell me they won't finish the work when they knew all about it ahead of time and provided a quote? That's a rather interesting perspective.
Long story short, I was recommended a plumber by a neighbor. They sent a guy (1) a couple of days later. He used a 75 foot snake and was in and out in less than an hour and it cost me less than $100. Obviously, I would never recommend Fazio Sewer and Plumbing, but I'd certainly recommend the other folks!
TERRIBLE!! Poor communication.... took forever to get and appointment. Long story short there was a big pipe that had rusted and apparently it was to big of a job for the young men that were sent to fix. One kept complaining the whole time saying why didn't the last guy just take the pipe out once he discovered where the leak was coming from. They finally got the pipe out and replaced it, they thought they were done but when they turned the water back on they realized water was still leaking so the said they needed to get further authorization from my warranty company and they would be back. That was the last I heard from them and they had the nerve to say they were done and bill the warranty company. I ended up calling the warranty company and they sent out A1 the finish the job without a problem. Those young guys just didn't know what the hell they were doing. Will not use them ever again or reccomend them.
Awful. Do not use. Customer service was almost non existent. Communication was poor. Had to call someone else out to correct their shoddy work.
