What led me to this path? Years back, I worked for one person who managed multiple rental homes. As I worked on his properties, locals would come over or signal me. One connection led to another, and fast forward to today. This job has allowed me to meet countless wonderful people over the years. Remarkably, in my 30-plus years, I’ve faced challenges from just two clients. One person outright scammed me. He went so far as to post negative reviews, rationalizing his theft from me. Then there was another client who actually removed screws from his own deck to tarnish my reputation. What’s unfortunate is he thought my charges were excessive. I added an extra hand to speed up his job and returned $200 in cash when we completed ahead of schedule. Yet, that wasn’t satisfactory for him. He wanted me to buy more paint and do additional work for free. I genuinely wish them well.
