FH FURR lured to put a new AC unit into the house and they put a crappy LENNOX 5 years ago and ever since it was all issues. Leaks, to valve issues and so on.
The worst AC brand and all F.H. FURR does during maintenance is to try to sell you thing you do not need.
Do not buy Lennox brand and not use FH FURR
Jessica M.While they were able to come the same day, we simply wanted an estimate. The technician went ahead and installed a piece (without our permission) and then charged us $279 to do so. Guess what - that part didn't fix the problem. He also came upstairs and used our restroom without asking. I mean, we would have said ""sure go ahead"", but it's just a bit weird to not ask. Ended up calling someone else to finish the repairs.
Just like Alex, from Leesburg, VA. FH Furr pulled a bait and switch tactic on the service fee for me as well when I refused the almost $1000 charge to replace a ~$150 part. The service charge was supposed to be free since they were here about a month ago for an inspection of the system to make sure it was working properly!!
And just like Brittany, I had an issue with them scheduling the original appointment for the inspection. I had taken the day off, and they cancelled the appointment, even though the first voicemail they left said I was next, and didn't need to call back. They ended up coming back the same day, but I would have rather not have taken the whole day off.
.... I bought a Lenox AC system from Furr 3 years ago.The evaporator coil has gone bad now and it's still under manufacturer's warranty. I bought a service agreement for $167 which I found out only means they will come to your house, and they did today. What they told me was that it would cost $981 to put a new coil in. Oh and that is a ""special offer"" from Lennox to Furr customers who have a 5 year old or newer system. And because I have the service agreement I would get 15% off - otherwise it would be over $3000!!!!
I was/am in SHOCK!!
The repair guy seeing my distress - told me They were ""waiving"" the $49 parts ordering fee. Parts ordering fee??! Yes apparently that is a thing. And that if I had not known that it was the evaporator coil (I knew that because I had another hvac company come under my total protect home warranty plan and they signaled the problem) that it would have cost another $218. And btw I had to clean the condenser coil and that cost nearly $500 extra. So total of $1500 AT LEAST- having already spent $167 (not to mention the $125 deductible to Total Home Protect Warranty.
And when I said I need to think about it - they told me they would need to charge me $97 now because I chose not to spend anything. I could not not can now believe this.
I feel like I was fleeced. Did I mention this is a system they sold me and installed for me? Don't do business with them. I feel this was a total con job.
Can anyone give me any advice on what to do? Furr told me I can't go to another HVAC company and use my manufacturer warranty for the part- only them. Is that true? Who else can fix an evaporator coil and clean the condenser coil of the fuzz buildup for less than these monsters want to charge = total about $1500-$1600
They cancelled my appointment twice with made up excuses. Not a single ""I'm sorry"" bad customer

Fh Furr was great 10 years ago when I bought my system. Over the years I have noticed that the techs don't take as much time and care as they used to take checking and putting the unit back together. The last quarterly check was a nightmare. The tech was such a jerk I threw him out of my house! He apologized and told me he would get fired for this so I didn't make him leave which was a huge mistake. Now my condenser unit squeaks super loud so I can hear it in the house and rattles like it's about to fall apart. Top it off with number calculations written in permanent marker on the side of the unit. Before this guy did his number on my equipment it was running quiet and looked tip top! Now I have a rickety sounding heat pump with graffiti written all over it.
FH Furr is one of the most expensive contractors around the area so you would expect excellent service, but I guess they have gotten so big service doesn't really matter any longer as long as they get paid! I have 9 more months of warranty left with this company, then I'll give a reputable competitor and try to see if they really are simply the best.

We had a pretty simple plumbing issue... a clogged kitchen drain. Called at 9 am and they said they would be out the same day and a dispatcher would call us. I called at 4 pm after not hearing from anyone and hanging at the house ALL day. Talked to a dispatcher and he said the plumber was nearby and finishing a job would call me by 6 pm. At 6 pm am phone operator called me to say they couldn't come tonight because the equipment used by the plumber on call was broken and they had very few plumbers that had equipment to clear a clogged drain! ARE YOU KIDDING! That is an elementary plumbing issue. Not many of your plumbers can clear a clogged drain and don't have equipment???? This cannot be a very good plumber if they don't ALL know how to clear a drain. NEVER Calling them again! Wasted my time all day.
Just had our winter furnace check up and once again F. H. Furr did an exceptional job - we were very fortunate to have Mr. Nelson ""Steve"" Orellana as our technician yesterday. He has been to our home before for our maintenance service - he is very efficient - personable - and explains all he did as well as recommendations for our A/C and Heating System. I was so pleased to see him return yesterday for our service as I knew it would all go well.
We had F.H. Furr replace our original A/C heating system several years ago and we could not be more pleased with our decision.
I recommend highly F.H. Furr for your A/C & heating needs and if you so choose F.H. Furr ask for MR. Nelson ""Steve"" Orellana - he's great.
Phenomenal service, honest company that really cares about workmanship! Just over a year ago a plumber did some work on our toilet which never was quite right. They sent out another guy who correctly seated the tank and replaced the internal stopper unit at NO charge. Very few companies care enough about their customers to do the right thing. Well Done FH Furr, my new go-to plumbers!!
Daniel L.Amazing technicians, Osvin Jimenez and Andy Chirinos, they were super polite, nice, and informative. Also, they made sure to test everything on my new equipment as well as explain to me the new features of my AC system. I am disappointed that i wasn't able to review these amazing techs in the reviewbuzz site since I wasn't able to find them in there.
Also, I am giving 4 out of 5 stars since the sales consultant was not at the same level of costumer service as the techs. He promised us a lot that wasn't able to be completed since our AC unit is inside a condo.
