Last year, I experienced the same issue with a clogged toilet. The toilet had to be removed to unclog the pipe. Steve informed me plunging the toilet had caused water to leak into downstairs bathroom. As a result, it wasn't necessary to replace the pipe but add a better ring to toilet. In addition, he gave good advice to rectify the problem when it occurs again by buying an augers. I will definitely use Excellence Plumbing for future plumbing issues.

I called Excellence Plumbing for an emergency fix on my gas water heater. I spoke to a plumber right away and scheduled a visit the next day. I checked in with the plumber that morning to let him know my contractor would be there to let him in and to give me a call afterwards to talk about the issue. I never heard from the plumber again. I tried calling in the afternoon and was hung up on. I do not recommend this company.

Steve and his team of professionals were very skilled and efficient in the performance of their work. My water heater is 10 years old. I contacted Steve of Excellence Plumbing asking for a quote for a new water heater. Steve asked very pointed questions and he determined that I really didn't need a new water heater, unless I really wanted to spend $1,800.00. He asked me to text him a photo of the label on my water heater. The next day, he called and stated he would replace the 2 heating elements and thermostats. He offered that if that didn't work, he would reduce the cost of a new water heater by the cost to replace the heating elements and thermostats. He said he could pick up the parts the next day and install it anytime convenient for me. Since I was down to just lukewarm water, I was eager for the install to happen asap. He agreed to come on a Saturday morning. In a couple of hours, his work was complete. He even sucked out the muck at in the bottom of the tank that was the primary cause of the heating element failure. He educated me that for the water heater to last, it was imperative for me to perform a water heater drain down in a couple of months and to continue that maintenance program each year.
I can tell you that I won't look to another plumbing firm for any plumbing work I need.

I hired Excellence Plumbing because I had a leak in my ceiling and thought that it was coming from my upstairs bathrooms. They suggested it might cost $150 to fix a leaky toilet. They came out and agreed it might be the toilet valve and flapper in both upstairs bathrooms, but also my tub needed to be recaulked. So they charged me $425 to replace both valves and ""caulk my tub"". This was the worst caulking job I have ever seen - I could have done a better job myself. They didn't even bother to remove the old caulk, they just recaulked over some of it and did a terrible job at that. See the attached photos. I asked for a receipt breaking down the labor and parts because that seemed incredibly high for what was done and they refused to provide one for over a week. They came out to ""re-do"" the caulking job and again did a terrible job. I was then told that they didn't really do caulking and that this was just a courtesy. Yet a courtesy that they charged me an arm and a leg for. Incredible.
I again asked for a receipt and he said he would email me one and drive off. They also said my water pressure was probably just a city issue. I spoke to my immediate neighbors and their water pressure is fine. So it was clearly a plumbing issue. These guys are ridiculous. Did a terrible job and gouged me.

I hit the jackpot when I found this plumbing company. Jay, Steve and Jeremy came to my home and fixed a busted pipe and snaked a clogged drain all within one hour. This team of professionals have great personalities, are highly skilled and are very affordable. If your choose to use them, and you should, you won't be disappointed with the outcome.

Absolutely fantastic experience. The reviews are true. I needed to have a replacement done pretty promptly as I was without water in my home and had to temporarily relocate to a hotel. With the headaches that come with major repairs in the form of insurance adjusters & contractors, I can't tell you how relieving it was to have such a smooth experience with Excellence Plumbing. At a total loss of words for the positive ratings. My introduction during a call last week was ""I am a master plumber, I build houses."" Three days later reached out to see what the problem was concerning the lack of courtesy in either being interested in the job or not. Informed misunderstanding on communication. Eight days later no response. Please use Roto-Rooter. At least your call will be returned and you know where you stand. Good luck master plumber. Are you licensed, bonded and insured within the District of Columbia. Can your credentials be checked? The ""master plumber"" did not even know the Foggy Bottom area, which is three blocks from the White House. Best wishes Capitol Hill on having a ""master plumber, the one and only,"" in your neighborhood. Gardez bien.

Wow, these guys are great! We needed to have a Water Heater replaced in quick order. I called and they came out the same day, happens that this was a rarity since they're usually very busy with appointments but I'm glad I was able to catch them. They were very knowledgeable and requested that I call the original Water Heater manufacturer to diagnose the problem...this seemed weird at first but that goodness I did as they told me. Come to find out the manufacturer informed me that the existing heater was vented improperly and I would need to get a short model water heater and replace the unit as they did not recommend repairing. After providing them with this info, they came the same day, replaced our water heater and had someone haul away the old one. Never had such a seamless same day experience. Money well spent!
