After something like a dozen return trips to my house to work on a AC unit they installed, I have to say I wouldn't recommend Estes Services. Yes, they show up - usually (or at least call if they won't). Yes, they do it as often as they need to...but they should've gotten this whole thing right the first, or second, or heck, maybe even the third or fourth time, rather than me dealing with a sweltering office time and time again as they misdiagnosed and mis-treated an issue. Look, they're nice, their customer service is good, but according to another HVAC company, Estes doesn't take measurements and do math to determine what's going to be needed in an area - and I believe it because honestly, my office is still hot sometimes and I think they just used an underpowered unit considering it's in the attic. But whatever, it's functional, just barely. I would not call them back, I can tell you that, not for any service type.

I have used Estes for Heat and AC for many years. They have always been courteous and fair and they do an excellent job. Now I use them for plumbing, too and have been very happy with their service.

We started with Estes 7 years ago, we had them install a new system for us and service it twice a year... Joshua and Nick usually would do our service and were really good... Our last service call involved some repairs installing a control board. My wife is very ill and I told them we need to get it fixed as quickly as possible. We called on a Saturday and they arrived at 6:00 pm Monday, not a quick response... I am also a home builder and have given many referrals to my clients to use Estes for their service work... We were loyal clients.... They sent Macay not Nick for the service work... it took from Monday evening until Thursday afternoon to get the repair accomplished with a lot of infighting with Paul at Estes ( rudest person for customer service). When Macay finished the work I told him we need to continue the winter service... which also includes the humidifier... The humidifier is older but has always functioned well and the other service techs had no problem for 7 years of service... Macay said it was too hard to get to it and I advised the other techs serviced it fine... He then began to berate me for even having this type of humidifier. He said all kinds of chemicals are getting in my house because of it. He basically removed all the parts just to install a new filter, upset and complaining all the time. He finally got it back together. He then checked another hose and pulled it off to see that it was not clogged, when he put it back on he torqued it so tight it severed the pipe and told me it would cost $95.00 to fix it. I refused... He broke it... About 30 minutes after he left the humidifier was pouring water out of the case... Later I took the case off and he did not have the filter in place properly and had used pieces of a cardboard box to keep it in position. That did not work... I removed the card board and simply pushed the filter in place and it now works fine... Estes has lost it's way based on the type of people they now hire. They are not honest or timely and the customer comes last... I will never use them again!!!! What a disappointment. Mike B

Called several times to get pricing on service programs for 2 large commercial buildings and no one could be bothered to call me back. I would rather deal with a company that values my business.

I have 2 HVAC units located on the roof of my 2 story Townhome. One of the units stopped functioning so I called Estes last Friday to schedule them to diagnose and repair the problem on Monday. I was given a confirmation of my appointment with a rather large window of 8AM to 6PM. Its hot here this week and I need to have the unit fixed so I took the day off work to be here for the appointment. At almost 10AM I received a phone call from the scheduling department advising me that Estes has decided to no longer do business in my complex because of the units being on the roof. They have been doing business here for years, but all of the sudden they can no longer service units on roofs. I was naturally very unhappy with the way the whole experience with Estes was handled. Since I'm no longer able to do business with them, I certainly can't recommend them to anybody else, because who knows what reason they may choose to no longer do business with you and/or your complex.

The service technicians have been great. We have had Richard come out and service a Rheem tankless (horrible product put in by our builder). Richard serviced kept it going. The tank finally died. Dylan B. came to the house and talk to us about a Navien tankless. Had it installed yesterday and it is everything he said it would be. Thank you for that experience. On the other hand their Customer Service (folks taking the calls for service) need major training. Even the supervisor I spoke to needs training. I wrote a review directly to them and no response. If you can get past this team's incompetence and engage with a tech it is worth the aggravation.

We have used Estes maintenance and repair services for a few years now. The last couple visits, we have been overcharged for Freon. The first overcharge was when a representative told me that we needed 4-5 lbs of freon. I asked to watch him install the freon and it ended up being just under 1lbs needed. We still got an invoice for 2 lbs of freon (It's $143/lbs). The second time they came out my wife was the only one home and the rep (Jose) stated that he would need to check the outside unit to see if it was low on freon. My wife said, """"ok"""" and we then received a $430 invoice for an alleged 3 lbs of freon. I called the rep and he admitted to having installed less than 3lbs but, stated that they """"round up"""" . I'm done with Estes. For not asking if we approved for Freon to be installed and for """"rounding up"""" on us. Don't trust them.

They hounded me for weeks to do my winter inspection. We finally got a date set for the morning of January 16th. Technician didn't call and didn't show. I left two call back requests at the company to figure out what was going on. It's been over a week and I'm still waiting to hear from someone.

Annoyed! Requested a tech to install a gas dryer for me. There is gas to the house already, to the cooktop and furnace. He said over the phone that he didn't think it could be done if no place already behind the dryer but gave no real reason why. Came in looked for 5 to 7 minutes, said """"no"""" (gas line is in the wall, right behind the laundry room), said to do it would be $1800 at least. And if the gasline in the wall were tapped it would starve the furnace in Winter. Added he already knew this BEFORE he came because he does work in this community ALL THE TIME. Why not say that, up front, instead of showing up and charging me? I won't be calling Estes again. Just complained directly to them and they are refunding the service call charge. But why do it in the first place???

Estes technicians did a great job installing my water heater. My special thanks to Richard and his crew for their thoroughness and efficiency. The quote was clear, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend Estes for your plumbing needs. I would go back to them for future needs.
