I had this company come to my house to snake a sewer pipe today. I want to stress from the beginning that *the workman was very good and tried his best to solve the problem* although ultimately he did not succeed.

Who I do have a problem with is his boss. The boss called me and tried to tell me stuff that I knew wasn't true. The boss said that the workman had snaked the pipe all the way to the street when I knew that his 50' snake was not long enough to reach the street. The boss then suggested a $350 pressure treatment of some sort that I knew was not needed.
Clearly the boss just wanted the workman to give up and go to the next job. Whenever someone is telling you stuff that confuses you and doesn't make sense put your guard up.~

Fantastic work, speedy and effective! I called after PG&E couldn't even get the water heater lit (he had it on in minutes, cleaned up and ready to go) and for this older home serviced, repaired, and found the pipe valve to activate a toilet that wasn't able to run previously. I'll happily call them again.

Erwyns Plumbing performed a miracle for us we received notice that we had to obtain a sewer lateral certification service for our home by the end of the month or we would be fined and Israel responded very promptly for the inspection and estimate although it wasn't cheap to do the service these kinds of service can get pricy but he really helped us to stay on budget and worked with us God bless him and his team!!! Communication wasn't the easiest so just call him or talk to him in person is best..The workers came out and started working right away they worked hard were very professional and respectful of the property:) Israel took care of the city of Oakland permits and eastbaymud appointment and when the work was done he gave us our certificate in person.. I will definitely be calling him and his awesome team for more work on the house he is very knowledgeable of the work needed in plumbing and I highly recommend him! Thank you so much

I found Erwyn's Pluming here on yelp and boy, am I glad I did. Israel is very responsive and was actually able to come out the same day - and my job was not (thankfully) and emergency. He gave me a reasonable price and really went above and beyond on the job. I could not be happier and recommend Israel and Erwyn's Plumbing without hesitation. Definitely my go-to plumber from now on.

I had an emergency plumbing situation today (two days before an open house!) and they came out right away. I couldn't believe it. They got the job done and were out in less than an hour. Quoted the job over the phone and stuck to it. Only issue was that they left me a big mess to clean up.

Pros: they got the job done in a timely manner and were super quick to respond to our sewer lateral inspection request. Ended up needing a replacement and their crew of guys were professional and efficient. Pricing was fair too. Cons: communication was challenging. We thought they were going to install an access point close to our house because the access point is currently under our deck. We discussed this with the company but there was a miscommunication and they didn't add it to our invoice, so no access point for us. It's a bit annoying that it's not automatically something they do with clients who don't already have an easily accessible clean out. We would have even paid extra to add it while they had our deck dismantled, but again, communication was not the easiest.

Erwyn's Plumbing is incredibly fast, efficient, and fairly priced. We had recently purchased a property in Berkeley and had lost track of time to complete our sewer lateral compliance. I looked on Yelp and found them. They have very high reviews for a reason! Israel of Erwyn's Plumbing responded nearly instantly to my outreach and offered to come out the same day (!) to evaluate our current sewer lateral and provide an estimate.

In addition to providing a fair estimate, he and his team were able to complete the work within a week; their staff and crew came right at 8 am and finished all of the lateral work, including the sidewalk repair, all in one day! Israel showed me the paperwork filed and was very prompt at staying on top of the city of Berkeley until they finally issued me the certificate (I had worked with a previous company at a different house that had not followed up with the final certificate and I ended up having to file it myself). Separately, we had a small plumbing issue that we wanted checked out that Israel looked at while he and his crew were doing the sewer lateral and gave us a free assessment re: our hot water heater / what might be wrong!

Super nice and efficient, would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing a sewer lateral (and I will probably use them for other plumbing issues too!).

We pretty much have Israel on speed dial at this point. I reached out to him and he was fortunately able to come out the same day to look at a leak. He finished the job beautifully in less than 45 minutes. This is the third job he's been on at our house. He's done great work with our trenchless and sewer lateral under the house. Their pricing is very reasonable plus he goes above and beyond. I highly recommend them.
