Nothing worse than a backed up sewer line. Well in the top 10 anyway. So I called Israel and he came out the same day and tried to clear it out. After snaking and scoping he found that it was a bigger problem requiring digging out and reconnecting the collar where the sewer pipes became disconnected. A couple of days later he was back and after digging out the pipe found it was even a bigger problem as the roots of a nearby tree had raised one of the pipes a couple of inches and grown completely thru a 6 foot section of the pipe. He proposed a fix and after more digging (and digging) leveled the pipes, replaced the root bound pipe and fixed the problem! May have paid more than I wanted but more than pleased with the job he did. Very professional and friendly service.

We had an emergency. Returned from a month-long vacation to find no water in the house, and a notice from EBMUD that they shut the water because meter reader detected a major pipe leak behind the retaining wall. Frantically called several plumbers in town but all busy for at least several days. This was Monday morning. Bay Rooter responded and sent Israel to check it out the same afternoon. He gave us an estimate, arranged for the work to start the following morning, and said it should be done by Wednesday afternoon. We had our water back by 2 pm Wednesday, and they finished and cleaned up by 3. The work involved was explained clearly prior to starting, and work was done within estimated time and cost. Very satisfied, would definitely call them again for future plumbing needs.

I called Bay Rooter for an emergency shower drain clog at 5pm on Wednesday and Israel came out promptly at 9am the next morning. He was great -- fast, clean, courteous -- and he even fixed an annoying problem with my toilet handle! Good price, too. Highly recommend.

I called for service on a leaky shower faucet on a Saturday during Labor Day weekend. Israel was able to come within a few hours, was on time, and worked efficiently to fix the faucet. He explained everything he was going to do, and gave an accurate and fair estimate before he began the job. Afterward, he demonstrated that everything was fixed. He was very respectful and neat. I would definitely call him again.

Just like what he explain himself, honest, responsible, respectful, kind, clean, care of customer said....
I'd call three plumber had estimates today, the others two were not find by yelp, one was not honest, one was four hours late, Israel was a last one I'd call him by yelp from Hercules at 4:30, he told me will come about 5:30, 15 mins early in front of my house?!?
After quick explain, go underneath of my house find drain pipe was disconnected, that caused water leaking from a kitchen pipe flowed under a house, he gave me a good deal estimated, then finished work and also used high pressure water clean grease inside of a drain line before 6:30. Done??
Thank! Israel and his always smile very polite helper! My mon said, she still have a time to cook dinner tonight!

Best plumber ever!
I called Israel around 11am on a Tuesday about a backed-up kitchen sink. He was at my house by Noon, and he had everything fixed before 1pm. Very reasonable price too.

Bay Rooter is great! Israel came out to look into a leaky pipe. He diagnosed the problem as a simple fix- replacing a rigid copper tube with a flexible one- and since it looked like something I could do myself, he gave me a discount for the visit, removed the copper tube for me and showed me what kind to replace it with the next time I was at Home Depot. I appreciated his honesty and will definitely be calling on them again.
