Brian is so polite & helpful. He arrived quickly & fixed our plumbing problem with great effort & quality. We had several issues & he guaranteed his work. He even came back when our line was backed up (we have old plumbing) and didn't leave until the issue was fixed. What was even more impressive was the fact that he used some disinfected in my tub & toilet before he left. I can't say enough about how helpful & polite he was during his visit. I highly recommend Erwin & Sons Plumbing.

Wow! These guys are great! We are on vacation, and got the dreaded call...The water heater is out! Our other plumber didn't answer or call back so--thank you Yelp-- we called Erwin and Son, and these guys made replacing a water heater soooo easy. and even better, the cost was an excellent value! Thanks guys...you are now our ""go to"" guys from here on out!

I guess you can't post a review without giving at least one star but I disagree! I called and set up an appointment for this afternoon so my sister could meet him at this new house she bought. He called her later and said he couldn't find the address and besides he had another job, and he'd ""try"" to get back with her tomorrow! The address is not difficult - it's been there over 40 years and Modesto is not that big a town! I wouldn't call this guy again if my life depended on it! I read the reviews here - even the complaints - and thought the large number of positives outweighed the negatives but now of course I'm thinking differently. By the way, when he answered the phone he didn't announce his business name - you'd think I was just a guy calling. I had a weird vibe because of that but thought, ""Well, there's those good reviews."" Yeah, well now there's another bad one and if he keeps doing business this way these bad reviews will continue to mount up!

I used Erwin & Sons to replace a water heater. He quoted me a price but ends up I have to pay more because of some code upgrades. After that I ask Bryan to send me the invoice so I can pay. He said that I need to pay first before sending me the invoice (Odd, but I did). The drama started afterwards. After I sent in the check and he confirmed that he got it. I asked him to send me the invoice/receipt. He said he will. This was last January 2015. And afterwards I tried to contact him many times and finally in April he said he has already sent me one and will send another one if I didn't receive it. It never came. So I ask if he can fax me. He said yes, but that never came too. I don't know why, it seems something fishy here. Now it is May already, and I haven't received any paperwork from them.
I do property management and I need receipts for owners. I don't think I will use them again.

Great honest work! They late into the night to repair a broken toilet flange. My friend and I tried to repair it ourselves but we were not sure what type of flange part to get. There were so many variations! I was impressed with their work ethic and commitment to work being completed thoroughly. He even trained me how to repair a toilet flange in case this happens again.I will highly recommend them to anyone in need of a plumber in the Modesto area.

although they did come to help us unclog our drains on a weekend day, which of course is a hard day to have a plumber come out and would normally charge a lot, I must say they didn't take advantage of us and charged us a fair price for coming out at a moments notice......BUT we did need to have a few more things done the following month. Which we called and made an appointment for them to come in the following morning and THEY NEVER SHOWED UP OR CALLED!!!! we called a numerous amount of times to figure out what was going on or if they were coming at all and all we got was their voice mail. That is extremely un professional and to be honest has left us in a bind to find a new and reliable plumber that's fair.

These guys are awesome!!! Came out on a Saturday, and had to crawl under the house to fix a broken pipe and charged less than their quote! Good, honest, down to earth. Love them!

These guys are great. After trying to get a hold of a couple plumbers unsuccessfully these guys answered. My situation was urgent (no working toilets) and he understood and got to my house within an hour. He worked very quickly and professionally, quickly diagnosing the problem and finding a solution. I will always call on them for any plumbing needs in the future.

Terrible about returning calls, should've been my first clue! I had a leak in my bathtub faucet. Brian and his son looked at it and said it was a major job. He had to go through the wall and unfortunately break some tile which is old and hard to replace. He kept saying other plumbers would charge twice what he does. Then acted like he was doing me the biggest favor! All the while lying! It ended up costing $700 and they wrecked my tile, and never came back to finish the job. Make sure you don't pay them before they're done! And then it's still questionable. It only worked the last 3 months. Then started leaking terribly again! I had someone else come out and he fixed the leak in about 15 minutes, and also said in his 30 years of plumbing he had never seen an O ring used. He said they used wrong parts! They never finished the job and ripped off a lady on a limited income!!
I had to pick 1 star to post this, it should be negative 5 stars!!
