If you had asked me a few months ago about Erica's, I would have given the company a good review. However, when the inspector showed up, the hot water heater installation failed as there was no shutoff switch at the heater, required per Palm Beach County code. When I spoke to Shelby at Erica's, she advised that it was my responsibility to have the switch installed and she accepted no responsibility for doing a per-code installation. When asked if Erica's would at least share the additional expense I must now incur, Shelby refused, without even giving me the opportunity to speak to the owner. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE FOR ANY TYPE OF WORK, AS THEY APPARENTLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CODE ENFORCEMENT.

Our main complaints with Erica's is that we were scammed into providing $600 over our deductible directly to them. We had to give $616.00 to assess the problem, which the techs on the job assured us would be part of the deductable. Then later on, our Project manager insisted on a check for an additional $2500 saying they """"had to show the insurance company that they took the full $2500."""" When I argued to them that I could write a check for the difference, they wouldn't accept it. Instead, they assured me that we would either be refunded the overpayment directly through them or through our insurance. I've been calling to find out when I am getting reimbursed for overpayment, only to find out with their billing department that they have not even communicated at all with our homeowner's insurance company. In fact, they are in a legal battle with them over the charges because they never got a response from my insurance company at all before completing the job. The Project Manager mentioned on more than one occasion that they were being conscientious to """"stay under budget"""" when actually they NEVER had a determination of covered services and cost. Started with Erica's on 3/6/19, it is now 6/27/19 and just now confirming that they have had no cooperation from our insurance company. Had I known that in the first place, I would never have given them extra money. However, we really didn't have a choice since our home was already ripped apart and we have a young child living here. It seems that Erica's Plumbing used our desperation as new homeowners with a massive mold discovery and mislead us one step at a time, to get the job, and to get extra money out of us, while withholding important information. Shelby from the billing department assured me she will hold her team accountable for what she calls misinformation about our overpayment. But really, we are the ones who have lost $600, so where is the accountability?

I've called Erica's Plumbing a few times for jobs at rental properties and our restaurant. I always thought they were a little too expensive but they showed up and did a decent job. I called them for some remodeling I was doing at my house. Two shower valves installed Five 3-piece sink faucets Reset two toilets after tile flooring Come back a finish installing the shower heads and handles. They wanted $6,300 for about a day and half of work. That was after a supposed 15% discount. No moving pipes, no heavy duty plumbing work. Just replace parts of existing fixtures. I thought since the plumber was here he could install two new valves on some outside hoses not to make it a waste of a trip. He wanted $400 for two new valves. I told him it was time to leave. I called another professional plumber and he charged $1100 for everything. I don't know who is paying these kinds of prices but I thought I was on a hidden camera show when I saw the price they wanted. Definitely never calling them again.

Hi Mrs. Williams, THEY ARE A NIGHTMARE.RUNNNNN!!!!! I am in receipt of your email below as well as the voice message from this morning. We also received your Facebook post that you do not recommend our company which Erica responded to. I attempted to call you back this morning at 11am but it went to voicemail so I do apologize that you feel we are ignoring you as that is not our intention. We pride ourselves on customer service and want to ensure your project is handled with care just like all of our other customers. That is why we took the time this morning to look into what took place at your home. Last night when we spoke with you I explained that Brandon is an experienced plumber and our employees are all authorized to repair and replace plumbing under Erica's License. It does not require more than one tech to repair or replace a shower valve. When we were originally called out you stated that your bathroom was just redone in January of 2019 and requested that we fix a leaking shower head in the master. Upon arrival Brandon found that the screw was stripped on the interior cartridge and it was unable to be removed easily. He gave you the option to replace the valve at that time which you declined. While onsite you place a call to Moenand they stated you can try to drill the screw out. Brandon did advise you that he could attempt drilling out the screw in hopes that it would easily be removed but he could not guarantee it. Being that this screw was stripped there was no other option but to leave it leaking or try to remove it. You then decided to try to remove it and unfortunately it did not work so the outcome is the valve needs to be replaced to correct this issue. The valve needed to be replaced after Brandon exhausted all attempts of repair. We got your water back on last night and did not charge you for the call as we knew you would need to replace this valve once you were ready. I would suggest since this valve was just installed on January of this year you should call the company who installed it and have them replace it or if you would like us to replace the valve you may purchase one and we will install it for you all you would pay is the labor for the installation or we may provide you one and install it the estimate for that was given to you last night. The other option is wherever you purchased the valve or maybe the manufacturer can send you a new replacement and we will install it for you for labor only. Please let me know how would like to proceed. I do have a personal question since you have been a customer since 2018. How did your mold job with JRG Restoration go? Was Joe Ridgeway the person who redid your bathroom that you are now calling us to repair? It's New Year's Eve and my kitchen sink is backed up and my washing machine has overflowed flooding the laundry room, kitchen and garage. I put a call into the plumbing company where I have been a loyal customer for many years and have a service contract with only to be told, I'm sorry we are completely booked and have nothing available until Wednesday. I can put you on the emergency call list, but there is no guarantee they will be able to get to you and there will be $125 service call fee on top of the repair costs. So I went online and did some research and came up with Erica's Plumbing. I could not have asked for a nicer group of people to deal with, from the person who scheduled my appointment for that day to Joe the tech who showed up to fix my plumbing. Needless to say, I am now a loyal Erica's customer!

To make a long story short. This company did detect our leak after arduous searching. The plumber, Anthony, had to go into the attic, remove the hot water heater and re-set it to repair. A day later we found the floor in bedroom where hot-water heater was re-set and leak repaired through attic wet. The room was flooding. The company was called, and they sent Brandon out. He repaired leak which was caused by their first plumber, and admitted to same. The company then brought in blowers & asked if they can remove all flooring and replace in that bedroom. Since, we were still dealing with the initial flood which impacted another bedroom and the bathroom, we could not remove the flooring and replace at that time, That we wanted to replace flooring in impacted rooms when we can do it at one time, and when structural damage was all taken care of. I called Erica's Plumbing several times during the last week of November 2018, and the beginning of this month. I spoke with Tiffany, and asked that we start on the replacement of the flooring. Essentially, she said that I dont know anything about it, and I have to do research. I stated dont you have documentation on what occured at our home, and you collected over 10,000 from the insurance company - and NOW you don't know about the flooring that your company is responsible for as your company caused the 2nd flood in the room where they worked (which was NOT impacted by initial flood)!!!! Well, it's been over a week, leaving messages, and sending e-mails and the company- HAS NOT called me back and TAKEN FULL RESPONSIBILITY for the damage they caused. NOTE: they were already paid 10,000 plus from our insurance company!!!! I AM WAITING FOR ERICA of ERICA'S PLUMBING TO CONTACT US AND MAKE GOOD FOR THEIR ERROR by doing the RIGHT THING & complying with their professional obligation to fix what they broke!!!!!! Omg ! This place is 10 stars. !! Started a project on Halloween and cake across issues and freaked out with water not stopping. I googled and came across Erica's and mentioned 24 hours. So we called them and from beginning to end was amazing!! Came out right away with a very reasonable service after hours charge. Joe our Tech was awesome , professional and so very knowledgeable. Literally the best experience I have had to date with any service tech out there was with Erica's plumbing and the tech was named Joe. Ask for Joe and you wont be let down his knowledge as well as manor was exceptionally professional. Erica did very well finding Joe as an employee. He went above and beyond for me and my family. Erica's plumbing cares about its Veterans as well. Look forward to working with them in the future.
