I normally don't say anything when i have nothing nice to say, but I draw the line when I know I am getting ripped off. After not honoring their advertised 'Residential Emergency Service Plumbing', I had a leaking external pex line, they told me they couldn't get to the job done till the next day. I had to send 2 reminders the next day for them to come take a look at the active leak and the job consisted of a simple cut and adding a pex coupler. The 2 pex crips and coupler easily less than $10. As a professional plumber, the labor should have been less than 30 minutes. They quoted me, $400!!!!!! I feel they did that because they new I was on the mainland and a property landlord. I would never take advantage of people like Emery plumbing tried to take advantage of me...what a shame!!!!!

Emery plumbing is amazing! My mom had a problem with their solar water heater, we called emery plumbing, John came over within a day or two, fix the issue and explained everything clearly and politely for my mother who is hard of hearing. I for sure would recommend them to anyone

I can no longer recommend. Service has become lack-luster as John now has workers completing jobs with little to no oversight. Caught one of his employees peeing on our lilikoi, which we pick and eat. Good thing I saw it or we would have picked pee'd on fruit. We've seen a decrease in workmanship as well. Yes, the work is guaranteed but the price of the job doesn't match the quality any longer.

Called for an appointment, got one, then on the day they are supposed to show-up, they cancel. Seems like they know how to book an appointment, but keeping it is a problem. Not a very professional way to do business, especially when you carve out a day, waiting for them in vain.

Very rude, cut me off because I am a facility maintenance company. I do work with 100's of contractors on all of the islands and do not have a problem. Rude and unprofessional.

John is the plumber to call on the East dide of the Big Island. Inside, outside this is the guy I trust, He knows his business and he does Gas Lines too.

It's rare to find a professional with this level of skill anywhere, much less small town Hilo. With decades of experience he's perfectly able to handle large scale projects, but John is willing to do things like replace a hot water heater with a day's notice. On top of that he's happy to entertain questions while working, and has a million great stories. Believe the hype people! If I could take him with me for all my future plumbing needs, I would.

By far the best plumber in Hilo! John is incredibly professional, knowledgable, and personable. I purchased a home about 6 weeks ago that didn't have hot water and the hookups needed to be moved. I waited for 5 weeks for my contractor to not do anything so I called Emery Plumbing a week ago (Wednesday) and he came out and checked out the project 2 days later, had a quote 2 days after that and had me on the books for this week! It was a two day project, he brought out his guys and they got it done in the estimated time frame! Everything works great and we are so thankful to John and his guys for getting our hot water installed! If you're looking for professional service, give them a call!

I hired Emery Plumbing to do a water heater instalation in Janaury of 2016. They showed up with a third worker (never expalined why), did sloppy work (left behind cut copper pipes, drilled permanent holes in my bedroon wall, and provided an illegble parts invoice. They also left the job with an unsed copper pipe that I was billed for. I paid them a deposit and there was balance left over. I asked for a refund, but was told my money had been spent on taxes. I was finally issued a refund but only for half the amount left over. Apparently this violated their no-refund policy. I assume they are keeping the balance of my moeny for future work which will never happen. Poor customer service. I would not reccomend this business.
