These guys are the worst. They seem nice but they don't care about you. Had them come out for a second opinion based on another bad warranty contractor. They changed wax rings and still had issues. Then they said the pipes were leaking under the house and were not covered under warranty. Quoted $525 to remove and replace broken pipes. They didn't do what they said they would do and left broken cast iron pipe with a six inch hole right past the new pipe. Sewage has been flooding for three months. If it was going to cost more to ACTUALLY fix my issue, why not tell me and fix it. I would have paid more. Now the new plumber has to cut out everything they didn't and didn't do and I'm out another $4,000. Avoid these people at all costs!

Sent by AMERICAN HOME SHEILD to fix a leaking faucet in the shower. The Technician (Anthony) could not loosen the faucet components; so he started to break it into pieces. Then he drills a big hole in the master bedroom to get to the back of the faucet; oops its the wrong wall, he drills another hole in the right place in the bathroom behind the shower. He cut the valves and separate them from the faucet and then he said its beyond repair; you will pay $450; talk to the warranty company and they will tell you whats covered and not covered; the Tech has no enough tools; he borrowed my tools to help him breaking my faucet. Therefore; I end up from a dripping faucet to a whole shut down to my shower because of his in experience in such faucets. He did not show any emotions of destroying my walls and my faucet and left in hurry and confusion. AHS will send another contractor to get another opinion on this issue. Watch for those guys; you will be sorry.

On Mar 22, 2018 my kitchen faucet started leaking from the pull out sprayer hose. I called my home warranty First American and was contracted with Emergency Plumbing and Rooter. Moises the plumber showed up and diagnosed a defective faucet. He went to his phone and ordered a new one. He said he would return when it comes in and he left. He returns 20 mins later and advises me I can get a replacement at Home Depot and left again. I drive to Home depot to find out it is a special order item. Meanwhile my water is shut off at the street because my shut off valves under the sink won't close completely. I ended up having to cap off the valves to turn water back on. Monday March 26 comes around and I call Emergency Plumb. They claim the case was closed because I was to repair the hose myself of which I denied ever being able to obtain a replacement hose. I called First American again and advise the events and they reopened the case. Moises shows up later that day the 26th with a new hose in hand. He enters my kitchen as I follow and my wife watches from the upstairs balcony. Moises attempted to mount the new hose but then says he got the wrong hose. That he needs to take a picture of the old one to reorder one that matches. The new hose may be in on Tuesday the 27th. On Tuesday I call Emergency and speak to their rude representative who states the case was closed they will not be returning to my property. I asked why and he said that I refused to allow Moises on my property. I argued that it was a complete lie but they did not want to discuss it and hung up on me. I called First American again and filed a formal complaint. A second contractor was assigned to the job. I appears the plumber Moises was incompetent as a certified plumber and to protect himself for misdiagnosing the problem, he lied to his supervisors. I feel the rest of you should know how they operate. Dishonest and incompetent.

Didn't even look at the problem. When I asked why he wasn't going to do anything to diagnose the problem he just shrugged his shoulders, so I still have a leak under the sink that he didn't bother looking at. When I asked if I can have any paperwork he said I already prepaid, this guy just collects service call fees. No wonder he has numerous complaints to the BBB. Also he came late so wasted my only day off.

I have home owner's insurance so I didn't select this company to replace my water heater, but if I had a choice I would not use this company again. First of all, it took them a week to install a hot water heater, so for a week I did not have hot water, secondly their appointment was between 8-10 and they didn't show up until almost 11:45. Thirdly, to replace the water heater it was $400 for an hour of labor ridiculous and lastly we noticed after Peter left there was a bad ding on our new door threshold and new molding, which we did hear something big fall and it was probably the water heater. Of course, he didn't say a word about the damage he did. I would not recommend this company at all. And First American Home Warranty Insurance sucks big time too.

Contracted through First American (FA) for ""warranty"" coverage of plumbing on 2-10-18. w/o 610291522, 33595. Upon inspecting a leak in my ceiling he stated he would try to ""help me out"" and not write on the invoice that the damage to a pvc pipe was caused by vermin.

FA calls back saying the claim is denied for said vermin..

I ask how that was determined as it was NOT written on my invoice. FA says the technician provided separate documents stating the vermin was the cause.

It's becoming increasingly clear that every company contracted with numerous warranty companies is bottom of the barrel, and attempts to do whatever necessary to deny work on contract exclusions.

This guy among others is especially a scumbag, for stating to my face he ""would help"", instead outright lying and doing the opposite of what he says.

Don't waste $75 for a nothing diagnosis, NEVER CALL THIS BUSINESS/INSURANCE, UNLESS YOU KNOW YOUR CLAIM IS COVERED.

Update: I understand and agree why it wasn't covered, I'm unhappy because they weren't upfront and changed what they told me.

When the Plummer came out to do the job he did a good job. Everything went well until about 40 days after the job was done the faucet began leaking again. I called and was told no problem we can come out and fix it free of charge. I have a home warranty company that I went through and this company (who should also get zero stars!) said that the service is only warranted for 30 days. I explained this to the emergency plumbing who told me they warranty work for 90 days but would not be guaranteeing there work for me because I went thru the home warranty company. I think this is absolutely ridiculous if you have a 90 day warranty you should honor it for all your work!! Won't be using this company again!

I always use Yelp to help me make choices. I have American Home Shield insurance for home protection. I called for service and they dispatched a technician from Emergency Plumbing and Rooter. The technician arrived at my house, without even doing a thorough inspection, he said that in order for him to fix the problem, he needs to rip the dry wall out but his company does not fix drywall or do any paint jobs. He said that this always causes problems. Therefore, he suggested that I should call American Home Shield to reschedule the repair work with another company that will do it all. I asked him if there will be any service charge for this call/visit and he clearly stated that since he DID NOT do any work, there would be NO charge. He also promised he would contact American Home Shield to let them know. I just received my statement and there was a $100 service call charge. I called to clarify the issue, the general manager, Mr Kermit, was not willing to do anything and instructed me to deal directly with American Home Shield instead. I suggest STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY WHO HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IS NOT HONOST IN KEEPING THEIR WORDS.

My problem was a water heater. The unit leaked all day as I was at work resulting in some minor water damage easily fix by another company. The replacement took FOUR DAYS. These guys don't care about you. They were sent out by America Home Shield. They gave me a line of BS about approvals and warranty issues. The first visit the tech came in looked at the heater said yea we have to replace it. I called daily to check on the replacement unit more BS about approvals and ordering the new heater. So FOUR DAYS later as the new heater was installed the tech broke the water line maybe not all his fault the lines are old and brittle. Now I have to wait for someone else to come out and fix the big hole in the wall.

Check this out. The picture of the van. Call he numbers. They don't work. The picture posted by the owner.

SCAM ALLERT!!

American home shield sent this company out and I explained what I had done as far as trying to diagnose the problem with my low hot water pressure. The technician came in and shined his flash light on the tub and stated in order for him to get to the issue he would have to cut thru the time which would not be covered under my plan. He then proceeded to tell me he would let AHS know. I get a call from AHS and they tell me the technician told them that the obstruction was not normal wear and tear. Like I put the obstruction in the line myself. To say the least I cancelled AHS as anyone who has them should. AHS seems to go with the lowest bidder and your claim is 99% of the time denied.
