SCAM!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!! PLEASE READ OTHER PEOPLES NEGATIVE REVIEWS ALL AGREE WITH WHAT IM ABOUT TO SAY!! It says a lot to see multiple reviews with the exact same problem as yours. That proves these people are running a fraudulent business. If first American assigns them ask for someone else before it's too late!! I had a water heater go out just like other people. First American assigned this company to me against my better judgement. They are in no way actual emergency services, they are only a mon-Fri business. It's funny cause when they first scheduled it the home warranty lady said ""they're called emergency plumbing so they should be able to get to you quickly"". However they still could not come out for 2 days after I called them to schedule. Once the technician came out he stated ""I will send the report to the home warranty right now before I leave so it gets done quicker and we should be able to come back out at the soonest Friday (2 more days later)"". For people who don't know, businesses have 24 hours to report to the home warranty the problem. After 24 hours when I called my home warranty they still had no report from EPR. The home warranty attempted many times to get a hold of them to send the report and got only voicemail. Friday morning comes and they still haven't sent a report, 48 hours later only after I called them multiple times myself did they send the report. At this time I asked for the manager to call me back cause she never seems to ever be in the office. 5 hours later she still hasn't called, I had to call the company again to remind the manger to call me back. Now that the reports finally in, the warranty company has my water heater ordered because after my many calls with them had it prepared while waiting for EPR to take their sweet time to fraudulently create the report that they can scam me with. They can't come out until Monday now cause nobody works the weekends at ""emergency"" plumbing. Now in their report to the warranty they claim a bunch of items including a drip pan, hot/cold water lines, venting, and a gas line need to be replaced even if the lines in place are perfectly fine due to ""liability"". This is their loophole scam. They tell the warranty company these are ""modifications"" when in fact nothing is being modified. The definition of modify and replace are completely different. However the home warranty doesn't cover modifications. Therefore when they put modifications in the report they are no longer covered and can be charged to the consumer against their will because now they are stuck with this company if they want their water heater covered by the warranty. Now if the home warranty offers a cash out it is no where near the cost of the replacement of a water heater nor the water heater itself due to the fact that the warranty gets discounts on products which ties your hands to use this company. NOW, once they can charge the consumer they up charge absolutely everything.
Gas line EPR- $105, gas line Home Depot $19
Hot/cold line EPR- $135, Home Depot $36
Drain pain EPR- $55, Home Depot, $18
All to somehow total $550?! I bought these products for this price at Home Depot and asked them to use my products instead since they refused to install the water heater without replacing these perfectly good items I already had. They told me they get their products from a different supplier which means they most likely get a bulk price for cheaper than Home Depot so it's an even greater upcharge. They continue with their ""sorry it's a liability"" claim. If that's the case then have a waiver for people who would rather assume the responsibility and legally take the liability off the business. They don't give you any choices to replace these things it's their ""policy"". When I confronted the manager Marina about their scam she stated ""we're a business do you really expect me to admit to that if that's what we're doing"". That's fair, however Marina if you're reading maybe you should consider a new job if you as a ""consumer"" care so much to feel any guilt for being a part of this shady fraud. Everyone that works there knows EXACTLY what's going on and cover it up together. But Marina is rights in the end ""it's a business"" and business is dirty in America, they preys on the weak and have no remorse. So do yourself a favor and DO NOT FALL IN THEIR TRAP. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! If you don't believe my story, keep reading the other reviews. I urge everyone to report them if you have had the same problem.

If I could give a lower review I would. Don't use unless you have a document that tells you exactly what the costs are . They were selected by my American Home Shield insurance to replace my water heater. It's been 5 days since the heater gave out and in calling my warranty company, which is also useless, they want an extra $500 to hook up the heater. They have already received $100.
the heater has not even been ordered yet. Have no idea when we will have hot water.

Update: I am no longer with First American Home Warranty for forcing me to use Emergency Plumbing and Rooter and for not taking my concerns as a customer seriously. I had 2 properties with them and had been a customer for 10 years. No one I spoke with cared about me as a customer. (Seriously, I couldn't get this one guy to mutter anything that wasn't a scripted response. He couldn't even muster up the balls to at least commiserate or apologize.) First American HW were dead set on holding an approved water heater as ransom until I paid this crooked up-charging plumbing company hundreds of dollars to replace items that did not need replacing and continuously treated me like a crazy loon instead of investigating my allegations. Done with them! DONE! I instead used a local plumber who did the job, hassle-free, and without replacing anything other than the water heater. Oh, and by the way, neither First American nor Emergency Rooter seem to consider not having hot water for showering a time sensitive concern. I went over 2 weeks dealing with this crap.

Very rude. Unprofessional and never ended up even completing what they started. Managed is belligerent, rude, arrogant and condescending as well as the customer service people. They hardly return phone calls and will call you a liar. After 2 monyhs of calls and excuses the simple bathtub leak is still not fixed and my warranty company had to reassign the job to a new plumber, because these guys refused to complete what they should have finished 2 months ago...Do not give them your business and if your warranty company assigns them to you, request a new contractor from the get go. Please call First American Home Warranty and have them removed from their trusted vendor list if you have had trouble with them as well, I did and hope many others do as well!

The work was done effectively and area was clean after everything was done. As of right now the new heater is running nicely. I was able to talk to Tony and gave the the run down to what he did. He has been dealing with my son for the 2 visits. The updates done look great. I wish the company will do cosmetic just for the fact that everything is done in one trip. The reps over the phone were also great"". One thing is to inform yourself about this process when home warranty are involved. Cosmetic stuff like painting and fix walls is not part of it, any update s that are required we pay for it. I'm happy with the updates done by Tony my water heater was super old. If anything I would blame this issue to my home inspector when I got the home. Didn't recommend anything on it when based on the updates I did it had multiple issues.
I would use this company again, Jeffrey was nice too, answer all my questions and gave me an estimate for my cost. First American warranty called me and broke down the charges. Everything was clear and I got it done quicker than other can say.

This company is very misleading. I called my home warranty company last night with an emergency plumbing need my issue was sent to the company. They were closed I got up this morning and call them at 8am still closed. Something told me to check their Yelp page for up to date hours it says that they are open. So I called a few more times and they are still closed. I don't understand the purpose of their name if there are not even emergency repairs. Then I see all the horrible reviews especially from the company owner. That's not a way to speak to future clients. My warranty company was able to contact them at 9 am and was told their soonest appt would be Tuesday which is a joke. When today is Friday. I don't recommend at all if I could they would have gotten no stars. Their name is misleading and clearly they can't do their jobs correctly especially since they can't turn off a voicemail or update their hours on Yelp.

My Water Pressure Regulator stopped functioning, 3 bad shower heads, 3 shower cartilages needed, 2 diverted stops needed, and a toilet valve replacement needed. Carsten of Emergency Plumbing showed up with a big smile on his face and full of knowledge to complete the job. He noted what was needed, ordered the parts, and returned at a later date to complete the work. I will use this company again. Very professional, kind, and expedient.

Carsten is awesome! He installed our new faucet & garbage disposal and he did a fantastic job! We have been getting a lot of work done in our home. Most of the workers didn't really care at all about me and my home, not Carsten. He has not only done a great job as far as workmanship but he is also very kind and courteous. The only regret I have is not tipping him. Thank you Carsten for doing a great job!
