We have been using Drain Doctor since 2006 whenever we have a plumbing need, including a trenchless water main replacement. They have always been very prompt, efficient, courteous, and well-priced over other estimates. I highly recommend this company.

I have to call the drain service last year Oct. the guy come over very polite to work on my Kitchen drain and also worked on my bathroom pipe. of course he offer me an upgrade job bu using his water jet to do a better job for me, before he left he told me do not use the garbage disposal for the egg shell, because he found a lot of shell on my drain. at 12-31-10 my drain pipe clogged again, so I call for the warranty service, the same guy come over and told us, he did not do the job, because on his work order he only wrote the clean the main pipe. He need to charge me for the additional service, which is the same service again. I was totally piss off, so I just let him go, then I called company again, they said their supervisor George Lee was at my home at both time and he determined that they only do the main drain job, so if I need the service then I need pay again.

I asked them what is the main line? and this lady told me that is from the bathroom to the main drain pipe. I live in an old home, and it only have one drain pipe. the bath room is on the end of the pipe, and my kitchen is on the middle between bath room and drain pipe. also I only have one service hole for them to do the job. after I call some else to perform the job to confirm this point. I gave this office the lowest rating I could. and not recommend to trust their warranty.

TERRIBLE experience with this company. The dispatcher said the plumber would be out in 45 min. , but didn't show up til 3 hours later. By this time the drywall was soaked and our ceiling getting ruined due to a leaky pipe. When their ""plumber"" finally showed up, he didn't even take a look at the problem -- instead, told us we needed a $395 leak detection inspection which he wanted to schedule for the next a.m. as water continued to leak from our ceiling, filling up a bucket below. We were so upset we called a local plumber (Benjamin Franklin franchise in Concord) who was at our door within a half hour and found the leak in the pipe within 5 minutes. He fixed the problem within an hour for $238. We will NEVER call DRAIN DOCTOR again - what a waste of an afternoon waiting for them, not to mention the extra ceiling damage the waiting caused.

Leakage of pipe above my water heater and called this company for help. The guy came in gave me an estimate of $275 and I negotiated down to $250. Guess what? It took the guy 10 minutes fixing it!. Don't quite remember the guy's name but he is a black guy. I will never use this company. Stay away from it!!

I work for a Construction / Maintenance company that services all commercial properties around the entire bay area. And when I come across a plumbing problem that needs a professional that has the right type of tools to get the job done. I will call Drain Doctors.
This was my 3rd. time to use them, and when calling, they have my # on caller I.D., and will recognize me by name. Which makes me feel our business is somewhat valuable. Each time they have come to do a job for me, it has been completed leaving the tenants and property management satisfied. Including myself
As for being on time, they could work a little more on communication. I know that work can be estimated, but can not always be exact due to unforeseen circumstances. It only gives me the impression that they want to finish the job that there on thoroughly. Which I would expect on my job. So I can except any minor mistakes made.

We are only human.
And they have found to be for me professional. I will use them again.

I've used the Drain Doctor many times over the last 10 yrs. I live in an older townhome that periodically has sewer & drain issues. Most recently my kitchen sink backed up. I called at 8:00 and although they were a little late due to an emergency I was still able to make it to an event I had scheduled. The employees are knowledgeable, efficient, and clean up after every job. I've recommended them to my neighbors and several of them have also called them. I am a loyal repeat customer.

Bobby from Drain Doctors in San jose (employee #51) came to my rescue in about 45 minutes. My washing machine was pouring water from my garage all the way onto my driveway. Bobby was very professional and explained what was going on and told me exactly what he was going to do to fix my problem. He climbed onto my roof and worked his magic, all within about 40 minutes. If you need a plumber asap, then call the Drain Doctor and ask for Bobby. I'm very happy I did and felt the price was fair as well!

I had a stand drain for my washer replaced recently. The stand drain empties the water from my washer. The worker arrived timely, completed the replacement of the stand drain within the timeframe indicated, cleaned up after the repair, and billed me for the cost of the repair as promised. I would recommend this company.

$545 bill for much less than 1 hour's work was grossly and obscenely excessive. The supervisor (Rachel) at Drain Doctor main telephone number refused to discuss and was very rude. Be smart -- stay away from this firm.
