I had my laundry room renovated a couple of days ago. When the contractor came to pickup the check he mentioned that the pipe that connects water to the washer doesn't turn off and they had to use the valve on the street to remove the washer. So then I said how is the new washer installer's going to handle that situation. I said to myself I don't think they're going to go to do that. So I called Emerson from Ekahi Home Improvement he answered right away and came down that evening. He wasn't sure if he would be able to repair it before the new washer arrived but he called me the next day and repaired it within a hour. I am so grateful for his quick service and help. I would highly recommend him. Friendly, professional and a real down to earth guy.

A+ as far as home maintenance goes. Extremely professional. Excellent communication. Trustworthy, friendly, clean. Emerson didn't rush the job (installation of two ceiling fans) and took the time to make sure the installation was solid and working correctly, before accepting payment. Do not hire him if you want a rush job. That is not what he is about. He is about quality work, not shoddy or rushed. Ekahi Home Improvement is the only one I need for all my home maintenance needs. Discovered a leaky toilet this morning. Emerson responded almost immediately to the quote request, was quick, efficient and professional. We were able to have the issue addressed quickly (I think the total time from hitting ""send"" on the quote request to the repair being complete was less than 2 hours). The cost to replace the faulty wax ring causing all the trouble was more than reasonable and very thankful that he was honest and didn't try to upsell or talk us into more than just what was needed to repair the issue. I wouldn't hesitate to call again for plumbing issues!

My tenant called to let me know this morning that that one of light switches was not turning off and we thought it may have to do with the circuit breaker. Emerson was quick to respond to our service request and gave me a great flat rate. He was able to meet with my tenant and fix the faulty switch really quickly and confidently. Excellent! I was fearful of going all weekend with a broken garbage disposal, stinky water backing up in the sink and not being able to wash dishes. Emerson not only responded to my Yelp Help message Thursday evening within a few minutes of my post, but also gave me a very reasonable quote for labor and a new disposal unit, and was here early the very next day to remove the old one (which was a major chore) and put a new one in. I HIGHLY recommend him . It was a pleasure dealing with him. Thanks Emerson! AAA+++
