Helped us with a major plumbing issue right after we bought our house October 2014. So polite, friendly and knew exactly what they were doing. Didn't charge a ridiculous amount like a lot of the other plumbers we looked at. Haven't had a problem with our plumbing since he came out. (Plus he pretty much guaranteed the new pipe he installed for us for life!)

Recently I had an issue with my hot water heater. I was disappointed to learn my usual choice of plumber was booked for three weeks. I called Effective Plumbing and was pleasantly surprised to find out they could squeeze me onto that day's schedule! After arriving they quickly resolved my hot water issue and tackled another problem with my toilet. Being able to take a hot shower and flush a toilet correctly are such privileges. Had Joshua visit twice and each time we been pleased. He even had to crawl under the house to reroute old pipe. He guaranteed his job but dis not have to call him back. Licenced and reasonable priced. He does not cut corners unlike a previous plumber from Merced Company.

Our kitchen sink was backing up, I tried all the things I could think of doing, but nothing worked. Because this was a Saturday getting a plumber to come out is not easy and they want to charge an excessive amount. I saw Effective Plumbing on Yelp and called the number. Talked to the owner, Josh, he was able to come out within the hour and within 30 minutes had my drain running smoothly. He was very professional and very reasonable $58.50, on a weekend! He even gave advice on a product to keep the drains running clean and another product if you have a problem with roots. I will definitely call again and recommend to my friends.

Well I found this place in the phone book and was very pleased with the job the guy did and the price was very reasonable in comparison to other places that I had checked into. Josh at Effective Plumbing is a consummate professional. He and his assistant (didn't catch her name) arrived at our home at the promised time. We called early on a Sunday morning with a horribly clogged sink and disposal and leaking pipes. He gave a very simply worded explanation and estimate, completed the job in a little over an hour, and took great care in maintaining a clean work area. He even wore little booties over his shoes so he wouldn't leave any mess on the carpet. He was very honest as well. We talked to him about doing several jobs which many other plumbers would have taken on gladly and charged a great deal for. He told us some easy DIY fixes for some issues and explained that the exorbitant costs for the other issues were not worth it. Imagine that, someone turning down work because it's in the best interest of the client! Highly, highly recommended for price, honesty, and professionalism.
