John E.Very fair pricing, knowledgeable plumber. Same plumber that came to quote, did the work.
We had some leaking copper drain/waste/vent lines connected to a cast iron pipe leading to septic. I actually wanted to do the job myself but it was pretty involved. It would have taken me about 8 hours to fix. It was done professionally in just less than 4 hours.
Awesome company to work with! Will recommend highly.
Jeremiah the technician they sent out said he wasn't the ""boiler specialist"" and he couldn't do pipe work (needed Brian). I'm pretty certain I told them I needed a boiler hooked up. Anyway, the guy came out, he was nice enough, but didn't do anything. They charged me $89 to tell me that they needed someone else to come out and look at the work. I never heard back from them after the technician left. Not good experience for me. I won't use them again.
Jose arrived on time with booties and mask on. Hot water heater serviced and leaking shower valve repaired. Have a service contract with Stipe for HVAC, plumbing and boiler service for several years and the service has always been top quality.
Paul H.The initial contact was polite and they responded within the timeframe promised. The work was completed is short order and to satisfactory standards.
Their pricing is within the market going rate for services in this area, so there aren't any savings involved in using them, though I'm not sure there aren't discounts they run on occasion.
Providing me with information on savings is the premium that is my fifth star is such circumstances. Providing me with good services, at going rates, within the time frame promised gets a solid four.
Excellent, prompt response and service. There was a leak in our toilet that was identified and taken care off quickly and efficiently. Fair price.
Also, kudos to the safety precautions taken during these times. The work was done with complete personal protective gear. Thank you Edwin Stripe!
We had a leak in our bathroom that leaked down into our dining room. They came out and fixed it and Jose and Courtney were amazing and did a brilliant job! Thank you so very much! Highly recommend!!! Great service!!!
Mark U.This company meets all the needs I could ask for.
First off, they replied to my quote request within 10 minutes and we were able to schedule something on the phone for the next business day. They gave a short window and were at my place within the first hour. Very competent and customer service oriented. Would use again and again.
Tom P.We have been using Edwin Stipe for years and they're the best. They may not be the cheapest price around, but when it comes to heating and AC... you definitely get what you pay for. Quality work and friendly staff
I contacted Edwin Stipe to fix a running toilet in a rental property several months ago. They first charged me an exorbitant amount for the job, then agreed to charge only the service fee because it was what was supposed to be a simple repair- replacement of a flush valve. However, this repair turned out to be too complicated for the two plumbers who were sent out to the house, as my water bills never returned to normal. I assumed it was a different problem. I had another (competent) plumber come out to diagnose and repair the problem and sure enough it was the same valve in the same toilet that was supposed to have been fixed. I am convinced that the plumbers from Edwin Stipe did not do any actual work at the house.
Martha R.The work done by Edwin Stipe is great but the pricing for small jobs is unreasonable. Replacement of the foam sleeve on the AC compressor line was $150 ($89 for coming to my home and then $60 for the $10 part and 5 minutes labor). Originally, the bill was $210 but I disputed the bill and negotiated it down. I am just writing this so folks are aware. In the end, I should have researched this more as a DIY project.
