Edwards Electrical & Mechanical has been delivering Electrical & Mechanical Services since 1968. Operating as a merit shop, we provide a diverse array of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, electrical services, and related services to commercial clients.

We provide heating solutions, ventilation systems, AC solutions, refrigeration services, electrical, sheet metal work, process piping, facility management, plumbing solutions, and welding services.

Started by Don and Ruth Edwards in the year 1968, Edwards Electrical and Mechanical, Inc. began as a modest unionized commercial shop functioning out of their residential garage. It flourished quickly, moving to an historic two-story house at the corner of East Street and Terrace in 1970. By 1972, Edwards Electric changed to a merit system operation, and just six years later, in the year 1978, the company expanded to a 2500 square foot facility at the intersection of East Street and Merrill.

By 1981, this location became too small, and partnering with a client, MacDougall and Pierce, extra 2,500 square feet were added onto the building. In the 1970s and early 1980s, our yearly revenue ranged between 750,000 and $1M. During 1980, we changed our name to Edwards Electrical and Refrigeration, and cooling solutions remains a key part of our service portfolio. During 1998, FirstEnergy Corporation, a registered utility holding company based in Akron, Ohio, purchased Edwards Electrical & Mechanical.
