Our company, Edmundson Mechanical Services, began 33 years ago.
Our early focus was on residential heating and air conditioning.
Geothermal systems were part of our initial offerings.
By 1995, we began working with industrial plants.
Our workforce expanded to 17 installers and service staff by 2005.
In 2005, several industrial operations moved abroad.
I decided to downsize our company and shift away from industrial work.
By 2008, nearly all factories had moved or shut down.
Our focus transitioned from industrial HVAC to residential and commercial services.
By then, we had diversified into heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical services.
Today, we employ 10 staff members and have ventured into small remodeling and light excavation projects.

As I was finishing high school, my father, who was in Africa installing oil infrastructure in Nigeria, encouraged me to pursue a career in heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
I loved the idea of mechanical work, and it seemed like a captivating industry.
The difficulty was in getting a quality education, building experience, and finding work opportunities.
Eventually, everything aligned, and I enrolled in a small vocational school to study window units.
I realized I needed more knowledge and decided to attend Cincinnati Technical College.
I obtained an associate degree in mechanical engineering, graduating cum laude and second in my class.
I spent the next eight years working on numerous projects in the Cincinnati region.
In 1992, I returned to Indiana and launched my own heating and air conditioning business.
We focused on designing and engineering energy-efficient heating and cooling systems.
Our systems provided consistent temperatures, operated quietly, and functioned as intended.
