Edmundson Mechanical Services was founded 33 years ago.
Initially, we focused on residential heating and air conditioning systems.
We also specialized in geothermal systems.
In 1995, we ventured into the industrial sector.
By 2005, our team grew to 17 installers and service personnel.
That year, many industrial operations began relocating overseas.
I made the choice to reduce our company size and pivot from industrial work.
In 2008, all but one factory had either closed or relocated.
Our focus transitioned from industrial HVAC to residential and commercial services.
At that point, we expanded into heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical.
Today, we have a team of 10 employees and have branched into small remodeling and light excavation work.

As I was finishing high school, my father, who was in Africa installing oil infrastructure in Nigeria, encouraged me to pursue a career in heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
I was drawn to mechanical work, and it seemed like an exciting field.
The challenge lay in securing a good education, acquiring experience, and discovering opportunities.
Things came together, and I went to a small vocational school to learn about window units.
I recognized the need for further education and chose to attend Cincinnati Technical College.
I earned an associate degree in mechanical engineering and graduated cum laude, second in my class.
For the next eight years, I worked on various projects in the Cincinnati area.
In 1992, I returned to Indiana and launched my own heating and air conditioning business.
We focused on designing and engineering energy-efficient heating and cooling systems.
The systems we designed ensured uniform temperatures, were quiet, and worked effectively.
