Econo Air got paid(thousands) to do same work twice, only to find out few years later by another A/C comapny that they never done the work, because we never went in the attic to check their work.
I found out about it late (longer than 2 years) and they got away with it by Statute of Limitations.
I believe I got cheated big time. Beware, Stay away from this company.
I will NOT recommend this company to anyone.

It has been over a month since I first contacted them for a tankless water heater that has had quit working. They sent out a serviceman, looked at it made some calls and told me that they will replace it, because it is under warranty. Two weeks later I got a call that it was going to be $900 for removal and installation of a new tankless water heater. WTF? Then I questioned that, they told me that it was going to be $485 for the removal and installation (4-hours work), again WTF? We agreed on a $145 and hour for installation and removal and a week later I haven't gotten a call back to schedule a time.

I called a contractor to come and take a look at it and told me that it's a 45 minute max job to remove and mount. This has been a real inconvenience. My daughter has missed 5 days of kinder-garden because she keeps getting sick from taking cold showers.

I have been calling and calling and I don't get any follow ups. .

UPDATE: The service men came earlier today (12/05/12) and installed the new tankless water heater that was in order. A tip for the customer service and manager. You should keep a log with notes of customers that call in with issues. Then follow up and or give updates.

Jesse from Econo Air came out ON 7/13/2012 because our A/C unit was making noise, I was told by another company that I needed a compressor, so what should have been my first phone call was my second. I called Econo Air for a second opinion. My A/C was fine!!! The air filter had not been cleaned or changed for two years and the outside part of the unit was filled half way up with leaves and debris. They cleaned it, charged me $69.00 THAT'S IT!! I since have heard from several other people that ECONO AIR IS THE BEST, AND I MUST AGREE!!

Wow. What a scam.

I finally said yes to the many calls I get from Econo about doing a 69 dollar inspection of my heater which I purchased from them in 2002. We hardly use this heater as we live in the San Fernando Valley. They come and tell me it needs $2,300 in parts to repair it or 3-6K to replace it. My wife immediately checked Yelp and saw the large amount of 1 star review, I called to ask them directly about it and they kindly referred me to Customer Lobby linked on their website to make it all better, which is a TOTAL scam. Customer Lobby is a pay-for service that they control that lets good reviews get posted and bad reviews to never see the light of day. Just to check I submitted my review there, to see if they would post it or call me to try to resolve this --no posting, not call. Very, very deceitful in my view. If I really do need a new heater exchanger, inducer draft motor, and nox rods --let's just say I did for a second, how about calling the factory and calling the unit a lemon or trying to do something to figure out why a hardly used unit is in such need of repair. No offer of a discount, no understanding of customer service or trying to help AND I bought this system from them. Just a very cold and mechanical response from the supervisor Raul. AND the heater exchanger IS covered under warrantee --and they still wanted to charge me and it was not replaced. I feel yucky inside.

This company is a total rip off bordering on fraud. They came out several years ago to service my two heating/AC units. They told me I needed a new motor and switch on one of my AC units and it was going to cost in excess of $1,000. I told the guy to take a hike and my unit has been running ever since. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. IT'S OUT TO RIP YOU OFF!!!!

When our air conditioning unit failed, our neighbor recommended Econo-Air and we were delighted with their service. They arrived as promised and their service technician, Dano Davis, was polite, professional and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem, presented us with alternative solutions, worked efficiently and the repairs were made quickly.
We're very satisfied customers. We highly recommend Dano and wouldn't hesitate to use him again in the future should the need arise.
We hadn't checked Yelp before we called Econo Air and are very surprised by these negative reviews. Our experience was fabulous.

The absolute worst place to do business with. They don't solve your problem n charge you an extremely high price ($804) for something irrelevant (cleaning). I unfortunately used them to fix my ac n they didn't fix it. They charged me $804 to clean it. The unit still blows hot air. They didn't care to rectify the issue. They just said ""well it's gonna be another $800 to fix the part that's broken"". Thats wtf I called you for in the first place!!...I'll take dying in this heat wave before I call them for anything.....

These guys are nothing but Crooks!!!!!! My whole house system cost approximately $30,000. After they were finished nothing worked right. I had them come out at least 12 times over 2 years and nothing worked right. An independent company later had to come out and fix the problems. They told me the compressors were old, not new, the dampers were not put in correct and were probably home made, no filters ever installed. Please dont use them!!!!!! Try anyone else. Wish there was a way to give them a less than 1 review.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. They came out for a special to fill up the freon or whatever it was. They didn't even fill it up. They quoted me $1500. I didn't even call them, they called me. When they left, they had BROKEN my air conditioner. It didnt work. They came back the next day and fixed it. They ""forgot"" to flip some switch.
The man who actually worked on my air was nice. The jerk who was the ""sales"" guy who came with him was not. He didn't apologize for the mistake, he told me he'd only fill one of my air conditioners. HE was not nice. He was not professional. I do not recommend this place!
