My elderly parents have has ECM for over 3 years with a whole house service contract and this week they needed a repair, and the customer service is awful. And this is not the first time, their customer service is extremely unresponsive when my parents have called in a repair request over the years. They don't get back to them for weeks on end, and their repairmen are just as rude. My parents ac unit went out this week and they weren't going to be home for the repair at, my aunt went over to let the serviceman in. He refused to talk to my father (the policyholder) on the phone about the issues with the unit, he was rude to my aunt, and then the mechanic trapped my aunts car in our driveway and wouldn't move his truck so she could go home. If this is how they treat our elderly, who in Florida make up a major part of your clientele, trust and believe they will treat the rest of us hardworking people just as terribly. DO NOT USE.

Waste of money. You're better off going to Lowe's it's the same price and they have better service. Very disappointed. I haven't had hot water in two weeks and my water heater is only 2 years old. Their company motto is """"company that cares"""" and they don't live up to it. Don't trust them.

The office staff was very professional and scheduled my repair quickly. The mechanics very on time and also professional. They were able to repair my heating system immediately. The prices were also very reasonable . I would highly recommend this company!

I called this company in for service twice in 2 years. On both occasions the servicemen found reasons not to cover my repairs and instead charge me exorbitant fees for the repair. They told to refer to the back of my contract where in very small print there seems to be exclusions for almost every kind of repair. In short I wasted several thousand dollars for appliance insurance that was basically worthless. Do not use ECM. In my opinion their service contracts arent worth the paper they're written on.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. I can't stress how absolutely incompetent this company is. I have a home warranty with ECM to cover repair to household appliance. I had a problem with my refrigerator in that the temperature sensor/thermostat was not working properly. The display would say 42 degrees but everything was freezing in my refrigerator and the actual temp was below 30. Made the appointment and the tech arrived and I told him the problem. He gave me a lecture about how the fridge was too full. Too full. I said yeah we just happened to go food shopping but that's not the problem. His attitude really sucked to tell you the truth but said they don't carry the part so they would have to order it and they will call us back when they get it to reschedule. The called several days later and the tech (different guy) installs the new sensor and leaves. The fridge immediately starts rising in temperature to 60 degrees. Food getting ruined. Called again waited for another appointment. 3rd tech showed up and she was completely incompetent and was telling me about gas pressure yada yada yada. I said no, the fridge was working fine cooling until their tech changed a part, it must be related to the part. She was thoroughly confused was constantly on the phone while supposedly troubleshooting my fridge. Said they will have to send a supervisor. 4th tech shows up couple days later - a supervisor supposedly. Takes the sensor out and sees it's for a completely different make of fridge. Have to reorder - will call us when it's in. Get call the part is in and scheduled 4 days later for install (today). Just got a call from them and they said that they were sent the wrong part and had to cancel the appointment. They said they will call when the part comes in. So here I am still without my refrigerator working 20 days after the first appointment and counting. TWENTY DAYS STAY VERY CLEAR OF THIS HORRIBLE, INCOMPETENT, NASTY COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

I just had an ECM tech, Luis, come to my home for three problems: a toilet bowl needed a """"ball cock"""" repair, a shower head was leaking and my washing machine needed maintenance. Once we explained to Luis what each problem entailed, he immediately knew what the problem was and exactly how to remedy the problems. He was amazing. He was extremely courteous, patient, cooperative, knowledgeable and professional. In a relatively short period of time, Luis resolved all problems plus educated us on potential problems and how to avoid them. We have an annual service contract with ECM and ECM provides us with peace of mind regarding, problems with appliances, AC, electrical, plumbing. They are a pleasure to do business with.

I have been waiting on a call back not only to review my case about your neglect to connect my AC to the drain line and failure to inform me at the time of installation but also to schedule the job to add another drain line for that AC unit. I purchased 3 units and I would think that I would deserve some kind of courtesy with a follow up for either an answer on whether this additional cost will be taken car of or either the scheduling of the additional drain line but it has been almost a month 11/16 since I was told by William that someone would call me the next day after reviewing my case. I have called two additional times and the very professional Tiffany keeps apologizing and informing me she will send a message for someone to follow up and I am still waiting. I was told it was escalated to Barbara and I am still waiting it is beyond frustrating that there is no follow thru by anyone at ECM.

My mother has had ECM for many years and has only recently had some problems with leaking A/C drain and now a leaky valve. They had to send over 3 different guys over a period of about a month because after one left - supposedly clearing the drain - it started leaking again. This is after the 1st guy charged her $59.95 to do a 'tune-up'. Now she has an apparently leaking water main valve and they are saying - no not covered, and we can't come until Tuesday with a plumber!!! Really - today is Thursday and no water until next Tuesday?! I am ready to change companies..

I experienced a brief electrical brown out. My brand new A/C is now blowing hot air. I have restarted my A/C unit twice, and still no cold air. I called ECM after 5pm, and they told me to call back tomorrow. ECM should have an emergency line for cases like this. It's very unprofessional.

Paid for an AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF VALVE that has never worked! Very next day after installation it leaked; Valve never shut off air. 2nd leak; water all over floor; again it never worked! 3rd leak; got rid of ECM!!! They would not honor replacement contract. Would not give them a one! They kept filling my freon and 2 days later it stopped cooling! Did they really fill it? Did tech know how? funny, after calling another company my AC cooled for over 3 months like it was brand new. I'm in PARADISE now!! Shall I say more?
