Purchased a new central system from ECM which they installed in January 2018. Company provided routine maintenance calls, the last one in November 2019. Following that call the system would not start so I called another company to inspect the system. The problem was that ECM technician failed to reinstall the float valve in the drain pipe after cleaning the drain, clearly sloppy work on the part of ECM. I call ECM to explain and ask for refund to the service call charge; also sent a picture showing the valve laying next to the drain pipe. They just jerked me around and gave me attitude. I would never do business with them again and would not recommend anyone else hire them for anything.

Called ECM out for a broken 48"""" kitchenaid refrigerator that the thermostat was saying 55 degrees. $90 tech came out shot a temp gun inside said its cooling just fine you just need a computer board $750. Ok fine fix it. A week goes by a different tech comes out to put in the part and says this refits to cooling. He opens the bottom up and says your cooling system has a problem it's a $1500 repair. Mind you I went and signed up for there service plan to for $400+. At this point I'm upset that the first tech couldn't figure out the fridge was broken and I'm out even more money. So I'm like ok fix it another $1500. Wait a week nothing no call nada so we call """"parts on back order we will schedule an appointment when it's in"""" ok so they schedule and appointment for the following Tuesday. Tuesday rolls round no tech comes out so we call. Oh we canceled that the parts didn't come in. I ask who did you speak to? Oh we left a message. So fast forward to Friday and a tech shows up to install the back ordered parts. The tech is there for a few hours and tells my wife a part is missing have to order it. We are nearly a month with no fridge now. Coming into the following Monday I get a call the fridge is unrepairable we will refund you your parts money. And the manager refuses to get on the phone and tell my wife anything. So I drive to there HQ and talk to a manager and that tell me they told the tech when he was at my house that it couldn't be fixed. So instead of telling us he leaves and I have to wait 4 more days and wait on hold for an hour to hear it and go down to the HQ to get a strait answer. Now you tell me how do you order parts for a price of equipment without checking to see if they are the ones you need? Now I'm sitting here at the HQ getting a run around about my refund and getting them to refund my service contract cause I don't want it if there service is this bad with one appliance. My advice call someone else.

We have a home warranty agreement with ECM. When we signed up, they gathered all the information about our appliances and were happy to sign us up and collect their fee. They also told us over the phone that the plan would cover up to $3,500.00 for an A/C replacement. Now that our ac has gone out, all of a sudden, they do not cover our unit. And even if they did. Their $8,600 estimate is double what I have received from two other companies. Two companies say $4,200 and one company says $8,600. I don't think I need to say more. Needless to say, please be wary before you sign up for their """"warranty"""" program.

I recently purchased a new air conditioner from ECM when I noticed a problem with my existing AC. A new one was installed within a few days. The installers were knowledgeable efficient & respectful during this time of COVID. They answered all of my concerns during the installation. The next day there was a bump but they sent a repairman immediately to address the problem. Very well run company with Great service & great workers!

Very disappointed with this company!! I had called to schedule a routine A/C maintenance appointment and a tech came out yesterday to perform this service. I've had my A/C serviced for 19 years and have seen some pretty thorough techs spending an hour or more to perform this service and I've seen some techs complete their service in 30-40 minutes but yesterday's service call takes the cake!! In and out in less than 15 minutes and I only witnessed him taking off the top panel of my air handler to advise me that I needed to buy an expensive ultraviolet light for mold in my fairly new A/C system that they originally installed only 3 years ago. I am beyond disgusted that even in our darkest times, this company is trying to take advantage of people. He only came to my residence to sell something, not to PROPERLY service my air conditioner. SHAME ON ECM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kick me when I'm already down. And I'm one of YOUR customers with an annual service contract!!!! Not anymore.....

First time using this company. The plumber came in this coronavirus era with no gloves or mask. Seemed very rushed. When he came back the next day he was upset that we called. We had a huge plumbing issue. He was very upset and stormed in. Left his shoe covering on my sink area on top of my makeup. Very unprofessional service!

Awful. The creepiest repair guys, snottiest receptionist, they want your money and don't want to help you fix anything. I had an appointment today which my husband took off work for because I refuse to be alone with the repair guys. We told them to dial the gate call box, received no call, just a phone missed call on another phone. When we called back ONE MINUTE LATER we were told the technician had left the area and would no longer be able to come today. We were hung up on because we were very upset. Found out later that the technician dialed another resident's call box number, not the one we told them to dial. No manager to speak to. Going to cancel. A COMPETE JOKE! (Worst of all, this was a Christmas gift from my father to help me out. No good deed goes unpunished! Shame on you ECM).

This company is the WORST company I have every dealt with. They sent a technician out to do a routine tune up. The guy ended up dropping this thing in my attic that cracked my ceiling and they refuse to take responsibility. They keep insisting the work was performed elsewhere, basically trying to tell me where my air unit was located in my home, as if i didnt know! I requested to have someone come out and see for themselves, they will not send anyone, just kept insisting they didnt do anything. I caught their technician in two lies, the first being that he never set foot in the room that the damage was in. The second being that the unit was located on the opposite side of the house. I submitted photos, videos and BUILDING PLANS, that's how far it went and still nothing. They then contacted me after i submitted a complaint to the BBB and they said they'd pay for the damage so long as i removed the bad reviews. They sent me a contract to sign stating the same thing. When the BBB later contacted them to say they cannot request someone to remove reviews they went back on their word after i signed the contract simply stating they rescind. That is the epitome of unethical. Check out their BBB complaints for the real deal on this company. I do not want anyone else to be burned the way they did me. This is not how you do business and treat customers.

Needed a simple look at the HVAC system to ensure it was in proper working condition, with no leaks- explicitly asked for this. Tech was 2 hours past the window of service (was told between noon and five- arrived at 7pm). Tech unclogged the drain pan below air handler. Was charged $268, then given a report that said simply """"unclogged drain"""". ...The whole point of the service was to ensure AC was in proper working condition with no leaks, to satisfy a home insurance inquiry about leaks with the system (which none were found). Their lack of attention to detail and lack of thoroughness are the worst I've ever dealt with. I will not be a repeat customer. (and now have to call a new tech out to explicitly state in the report that the A/C is good).

I had a replacement AC unit installed a few weeks ago by very capable installers who knew exactly what to do in my case. Very pleased with their work and its results, the new ac works better than the old one and I am quite pleased with the service. Personnel were very efficient!
