I rarely write reviews, but I am taking the time writing this, because I want to make sure everyone knows how fantastic this company is! I just recently used Dutton plumbing for my first time. We have had numerous plumbers, and specialists come to our house to figure out leaks, hot and cold water issues, etc., and nobody has been able to help us. Finally I looked on Yelp and found Dutton by chance, and tried them. I have to say that I would give them 10 stars if I was able to! They showed up at the exact time we scheduled, they were extremely easy to get on a last minute basis, they fixed every single issue FINALLY, they were professional, clean, and all costs were given up front without a single undetermined cost. I can't say enough wonderful things about them, and I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone!!

Elias was awesome. Very thorough in the ""investigation"" of our problem. Explained everything he was doing and why. He was very polite and helpful. He didn't try to take advantage of the problem we had, but gave us all the information we needed to address it when we were ready. He was very sweet to my 3 year old when he was asking Elias questions. I would recommend him with full confidence that a great job would be done! Elias if you ever read this, thank you!

Had them out for a quote to fix a leaky toilet, to fix it and replace the valve & diaphragm was $339.00 and they suggested that it should be replaced for up to $1918.00. Couldn't afford that as the toilet was less then 10 yrs old. Finally checked the internet and ordered a new flapper for $10.00 and fixed it myself. It was so easy I couldn't believe it and I am over 70 and have no strength in my hands from arthritis and yes I did it without any help from my husband.

We called them a couple of months before as we had a leak under a sink and my husband called and they said we had 2 leaks and needed the whole house re-piped for $10,000.00. This we stupidly had done with out getting a second opinion and I was sure we paid a premium but the guys were great and very nice and did a quick job. I gave them an excellent review for that job even though I was sure we could have had it done for ALOT less and as someone else said it wasn't even cooper piping.

Bottom line is buyer beware, especially if you are elderly and live in a mobile home park.

BEWARE!! These guys are scammers. Hot water heater broke. Guys came over and wanted $450 to fix a hose. ""Oh that did not work you need a water heater"". $2743 for the 6 year POS heater. No joke! I ""owed"" them the $450 for the ""dog and pony show"" they performed. In the end...$600 to get them out of my house.

Went to Lowes bought a heater for $650 and installed it in 2 hours. I will tell you the same thing I told everyone I know...NEVER USE THESE GUYS!!!!!!

Gave it a 3 - to try & get Yelp to post this - I am very disappointed & upset with Dutton.

I'm reading very similar ""bait & switch"" type stories on Yelp pages.

Basically, I called for the $79 drain cleaning on upstairs toilet & slow draining sink in same room. Plumber gets here & says there must be a block in the system - that for both to be slow means our plumbing isn't ""breathing right"". He finds the clean out & opens it (in garage) & shows me creepy goop & hair. Long story short -- he says we need to use a camera to check the lines -- calls in a second guy (which I realized later was the ""closer""). They show me & husband footage of clear drain to the street (by now we have agreed to $250 for this camera service...) Now when we lived in TO we really DID have a bad line from house to the street. We had SEEN what a line full of tree roots looks like. The video yesterday was clear as a bell. But Mr. plumber is trying to tell us we have a BAD problem. . It's going to be $10,000! My husband just laughs & says ""no"". Mr. Plumber immediately drops the rate to $5,500. (What?! What is going on here?!) We tell them NO -- so they drop it to $2,995. . It's just crazy?!? Right?!? AND - they never actually snake or clear the original problem. I now have a backed up toilet tonight. Grrrr.

Anyone know a reputable plumber?

And what should I do to get that $250 back?!?

UPDATE: Dutton did refund our $250. Thank you. In the meantime we had another plumber come out. He recommended we replace the toilet - as the water intake was filled with calcium. He said we could do it ourselves easily, or he could for $150 labor. Also - snaked the sink & it drains fine now.

We've been using the Dutton Plumbing for quite some time and every time they surprise again for the best.
Matt and Tony came over to help with our problem and apparently we didn't have the part for the sink drain needed. So without hesitation the guys went to the car, supplied us with the part and didn't charge a dollar. All the while smiling, being professional and courteous.
Best service ever!
Thank you Dutton Plumbing- you never disappoint.

STAY AWAY FROM DUTTON PLUMBING!! I am currently in the process of suing this company for gross negligence, false advertising, and criminal endangerment due to their faulty work, unreasonably high prices, and ESPECIALLY THEIR CALLOUS DISREGARD FOR ANY RESPONSIBILITY THEY MAY HAVE IN CAUSING THIS SITUATION. I called them to install a bidet seat that I had ordered online, after reading their ad claiming ""24/7 Availability."" Then after rescheduling twice and finally showing up 4 days later, their tech charged me well over $300 for a job that took him no more than an hour to complete. After a few days, I decided that I didn't like the new bidet seat and would like my old one reattached. However, Dutton's ""24/7 service"" could only offer me an appointment roughly 5 days later. Ironically that turned out to be the day the connecting hose burst and flooded a portion of my house, both upstairs and down. After sending another tech to repair the break, Dutton referred ASR to come clean up the mess. That company charged me over $2700 just to leave big fans here for a week (at the expense of my electric bill of course) in order to dry up the surface water damage. That doesn't include whatever it's gonna cost to repair the structural damage between floors, any possible mold infestation, or even the $200 I had to drop on carpet cleaners. When I asked Dutton to be fair and acknowledge at least some of the responsibility for this $3000 mess, they wouldn't so much as even offer a refund of the highway robbery they committed in the first place. So now the gloves are off. And I guarantee that you will not be hearing from Dutton Plumbing for very much longer. Their classless, unconscionable disregard for the poor quality of their work or the inconveniences and potentially disastrous health risks that their shoddy work has caused my wife, our baby, and myself is going to cost them dearly. I will not rest until Dutton Plumbing ceases to exist. Expect me, Dutton.

Normally I don't take the time to post about great service. Elias who took care of our water heater was fast,efficient, and new what he was doing. Normally that's enough for most of us. Except he was also a nice guy who cared very much about his work. They carry a lot of parts on there trucks too! The other guys always leave and go shopping and come later sometimes hours later with parts they need. Not these guys. Most of the time they will have the part on the truck. Which I appreciated.

They get two stars for prior work, and the fact that they are at your house very quickly after calling them.
We recently spent $9800 to have them re-do our main sewage line from the house to the street. They did an amazing job and did it quickly.
Knowing that they are not the cheapest, but that they do a good job and do it ASAP, I called them when our water heater died. Of course they were out immediately, and of course they wanted to charge well over $1000 more than others in the area. I did not haggle with their price, all I asked for was a better warranty for the work. I'm willing to pay $1000 for the peace of mind of one less thing that can(will) go wrong as a homeowner.
They first called back and said they would have to charge me extra for the extended warranty. I told them I'm not paying way over market price to begin with, and then paying more for a better warranty!!! Politely asked that they have a nice day, I'll pay the $39 trip fee they charge and find someone to do it for me tomorrow instead of tonight.
Surprise, surprise, I got a call back 10 minutes later saying it was fine at the original price with the extended warranty. They thought it was bad business to lose me as a customer for $200...
Too little too late.
I hope they take care of any future customers better than they did this one who wanted to be a return customer...

they did a good job, its just very expensive. You are definitely better off getting your supplies yourself at home depot and having them install or a different company install. I paid $800 for a toilet and then $400 to install it. Two days later I saw the same toilet at home depot for $250. Felt a little ripped off.
