Charged me $39.95 to come out and give me a quote so high I was blown away. The water heater needed a $12 thermal coupler. I was quoted $358 - say what ??? The water heater repair was for my eighty two year old mother. Luckily, I was there when they showed up. I ended up going to Home Depot, buying the part and installing it myself in fifteen minutes. Stay away from these guys unless you have money to burn and don't mind being ripped off. I wish I had read the other reviews before calling them !!! I truly feel sorry for all the less handy people out there. This company preys on them.

Unbelievably bad service with insane (and I mean, INSANE) prices. First, they would not quote a very simple job. This company was more like a scam than a legitimate plumbing service. They charge you (everyone/anyone) $40 just to have their truck parked in front of your house-- Before any quote/estimate. In my opinion, it was like I paid them $40 to advertise their company in my neighborhood.

Okay, here's the big shock. The sticker shock. Well, let's just say they price their customers, and not the actual job.

Customer: 70 year old female
Job Description: Replace a toilet fill valve and flush valve.
Dutton quote: $500

Same day quote from handyman: $50.

Handyman installed everything in an hour and was out the door for $50.

Have since demanded my money back from Dutton. Demand your money if you pay $40 and get screwed.

I only gave this a star because I had to. I wanted to give this a red flag or red check mark. Stay away. This is a scam business, and not a legitimate plumbing service.

They showed up on time, looked and acted professional, and quickly solved a leak problem that had stumped another plumber. They even fixed a couple of small problems without any extra charges. Their prices were reasonable, and they were very helpful and skilled.

David came out and was there within an hour as noted in their ad, he was very professional and explained what he was going to do fully before he began. He assessed the issue and while it was not an easy job, he saw it through and cleared the blocked drain. I was very happy to have the problem taken care of and am glad to have tried Dutton plumbing, we will use them again.

Oh my god!! I just found out after multiple calls to the manufacturer, distributor, and SouthCoast Air Quality Control Management Act of Jan 2013 that 3 weeks ago on April 3rd 2013 Dutton Plumbing Installed an illegal water heater in our home!!!! Even a single star is too high of a rating for them. I am going to SUE considering as of now they are in violation of so many codes and have jeopordized there own licence. If anyone is interested in this law suit please post your interest so we can discuss further. STAY AWAY FROM DUTTON PLUMBING!!!!!!!!!

This is besides the point but they sold me a $700 retail illegal water heater for $3300!!!!

I cannot recommend this company enough. Customer service was beyond great and the plumber, Brett P, did a fantastic job fixing what was necessary. Do yourself a favor and call them the next time you need a plumber.

Matt D from Dutton is a rock star when it comes to fixing a drain clog . Here is the short story after the brand x plumber failed to clear a main drain blockage and wanted $ 1200 to hydro blast the drain . I called Dutton plumbing and Matt showed up with his trusty assistant Wally at 5:00 PM last Sunday . He unclogged the drain and did a camera scope inspection of the main and I dissolved the culprit was roots. 'Matt saved me a lot of money and was able to diagnosis and fix the drain problem. do not call any one else for a drain issue

Worst plumber I have ever used. Shows up late, MASSIVELY overcharges. They did my water heater install (for about 3-4x as much as it should have cost). Stupidly thinking that since it was within warranty, I called them when it broke.....they gave me a time window that they would show up. When it was 1 hour past the end of the window, I called. The ""technician"" had gotten busy on another job and was unable to show up. Did they call me to tell me? No. I would give 0 stars if I could.

DO NOT USE DUTTON!!!!!!
