I agree with all other yelpers! These guys are TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS! DO NOT HIRE THEM! After 3 times out to my house and $300 later, the faucet is still not completely fixed. ehhhh....save yourself the frustration.

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!

I figured that installing a simple faucet, that I provided, in my guest bathroom might cost $150. These morons wanted $550 to do the ""entire"" job and $350 to just install the stopper part of the kit. I told the crooks to get the hell out of my house. Even at that it cost me $39 to find out what THIEVES these people are. I installed a new faucet in my main bathroom and it was pretty easy, I just didn't feel like doing this one myself.

They are complete thieves. I live in Reno, NV and had a sewer drain problem at a rental in Agoura, CA. They quoted $39.99 and I gave the technician my credit card over the phone. Instead of the amount quoted they billed $241.68. As others have said stay away from Dutton Plumbing.

Here is their scam. I had a simple leak in a copper pipe which I was told by other companies would require about an hour labor a 2 foot piece of copper pipe, about $45 in parts, I was willing to pay $150-$200 as that was the quote from 3 other plumbing companies, but none could come until tomorrow. DUTTON PLUMBING said they could come right away but could not give me a quote over the phone.

After seeing how simple the fix was, they start telling you they have done work for all your neighbors, blah blah blah then he says THE TOTAL COMES TO $1,050.00

In disbelief I said ""you better leave"" they say ""how much do you want to pay?"" (What??)
I said I will give you $180 or you can leave now. They then get a ""supervisor"" on the phone who says 'you'll probably be getting someone who works out of their truck or is unqualified if you don;t use us then he goes ok we'll do it for $375.00. They go from $1050 to $375 in 30 seconds and still 2x as expensive as anyone else. NEVER EVER USE ThIS COMPANY. DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOUSE

FOLLOW UP: Next morning the other company finished the job in one hour and total Price was $172.00 I saved $900.00 by not letting Dutton Plumbing scam me. WHEW

Man do I feel dumb. Had to call emergency plumbing service basically to figure out the 2 water shut-off valves outside my house. My problem: front lawn sprinklers wouldn't shut off. I discovered a busted main sprinkler valve. My wife made the call (while I got a nice, cool shower outside) and spoke to Robert whom was very helpful. Within 30 minutes, Ramiro from Dutton came. He was professional, courteous and was able to determine what the 2 shut-off valves were for: 1 for the main supply and the other for just the sprinklers. So basically, I could've saved the trouble and money if I had already known that. Ramiro gave me an estimate to replace the sprinkler valve which was much higher than I could afford but that was mainly because of the off-hours situation (past 9 on a Sunday night) and the only replacement he had in his truck was brass which is pricier (and more durable) than the plastic one that busted. Made sense but I told him I couldn't afford the fee and he was very understanding. Only charged for the service call. Paid him with a check and he was on his way in less than 20 minutes.

I would recommend them to anyone.

Footnote: I will be having my landscaper replace the busted sprinkler valve, hopefully with a longer-lasting one. I also plan to learn more about my own house.

Horrible Horrible service, and everything!! They tell you over the phone that the estimate fee of $39 is waived..special promo or something, so they say its free estimate today. They come by on appt and the guy barely even looks at it and quotes me within 5 min on just looking and says $419.00!! What the heck...what for?? He didnt even explain in detail...very vague and unknowledgable. Then had the nerve to charge me $39 for nothing when it was supposed to be waived. They call the office and they say they never said it was free and they couldnt serve me as a customer!! All they cared about was the money and they couldnt get there story straight!! Lack of everything and no concern for customer satisfaction!! DO NOT USE THEM...and then they will tell you that you cannot find better service or r ates anywhere else...bologny!! I found a great plumber and the whole thing costed me only $50 to fix it!! SCAMMERSS!!! You will not have successful business with that kind of service!! THANK YOU!!

BEWARE These guys ripped off my 80 year old father. They came out to repair a leaky faucet. They worked on it and it still leaked just as bad. They had the nerve to then give my 80 year olf Father a bill for $169.00. My father did not know what to do. This guy wanted to be paid. So my Dad thought he had to pay the guy even though he didn't fix anything. The sneaky guy even wrote on the invoice in none legible writing. That the customer would fix himself. Them had my Father sign it. They pray on the Elderly and the weak.

They showed hin thier little""BOOK OF Prices"" they nwant $800.00 to replace the faucet. My Father said No.

I called another Plumber and they were honest and supplied and new faucet and installed in properly. Did a great job. for $400.00

I called them when I became aware of this. I told them was not not right. They didn'[t fix anything. They had no interest in discussing it with me. That was the price and said. Well, Your Dad signed it. He should not have signed it I know. But, He was confused by all of this.

We tried to stop the Credit Card payment. But, In the end they had so much fine print and his signature he still had to pay.

Total rip off.

Beware of these guys.

DO NOT...under any circumstance ask them to be your plumber!
They are crooks to the highest level on pricing a job.
A job they priced to fix was $7000.00 and the association had another do the SAME job that only cost $1500.
